I've been going here for about a year. Rest variety in equipment and you usually can find something that is open. I would give it 4 stars but the the maintenance and cleanliness is awful. Treadmills are not balanced well after maintenance (wobble when you run). Bathrooms are disgusting - empty toilet paper, overflowing trashcans, etc. Update - 4 months later and the bathrooms are still disgusting and not stocked first thing in the morning. Very disappointing Another update. Here is a picture of the men's toilets at 5 am. You would think they would clean them at the end of the day.

Terrble! Avoid. Could be less helpful. My family and I have been members since 2018, including throughout the pandemic. I have also had a personal training package for the entire period which was clearly sold to me at a level above my needs, but fine, I signed up to it. Throughout 2018 and 2019 when the initial term of my agreement expired I used my personal training regularly. During COVID in 2020 & most of 2021 I downgraded my number of sessions as I wasn't using them and I restarted in late 2021. At this point I had built up significant levels of unused credit. Upon re-starting I had a sun optimal experience. It was clear that my trainer was struggling to fill sessions and my sessions were regularly scheduled when he could do multiple people at once and frequently (more than 10 times) cancelled sessions very often after I'd arrived at the center at 6am for them. Last year he told me he was not continuing with LA Fitness leaving me no personal trainer. I recognize I could have switched trainer but after 3 years of regular sessions I was questioning the benefit and availability of alternative trainers at the club rarely matched my schedule. However, the prospect of losing the 37 credits on my account worth about $1,850 has made me reluctant to cancel going forward. Then on Feb 2 2023 I severely fractured my left ankle in three places, each bone in multiple pieces. My ankle has required surgery but the prognosis going forward is that if I can recover full pain free use of my ankle it will require many months of rehab and physio therapy. Given this, I have made the decision to cancel my personal training membership. It's a tough pill to swallow to lose the credit I have accrued but so be it. There's no way I will be able to use personal training for 6 months at least. Thus it's pointless continuing to pay for it. I also need to reduce some unnecessary spend to help me meet medical expenses. When I call my club to cancel, I'm basically told that I have to come in and speak to a personal trainer to cancel. I don't believe that requirement is actually in my agreement. Given my physical condition that's difficult and if I did come in, no one at the club seems able to confirm when someone with the ability to help me would even by there. Three weeks ago I escalated to Kathy Polson, CFO via LinkedIn, since LAF provides no customer service number or email. I've had no reply and further charges have been made to my card despite the person I spoke to on the phone telling me both my membership and Fitnesd were on hold. I'm so done with this shoddy organization.

They were pushy when trying to get you signed up. The kids area was a joke. The only reason I wanted to join was because I needed a gym that can accommodate my son. Crazy how they are not set up for more of a family atmosphere. More of a neighborhood friendly gym. Lifetime fitness is better as far as doing things with families, but to far for me. LA Fitness Is still a gym. Note bad. Just not for me and family

Don't come here trainers feel like the owner, they don't have any boxing bags after talking to the front desk she said they only have one in the training area. So I walked in only being there for couple seconds some guy walks in and tells me I can't be in there and tells me to leave so I walk off. Ive been to many lafitness in dfw area I've never had a problem working out in that area. The guy was racist to me cause I was Mexican. I just left

They create a very welcoming, inclusive space where I have never felt judged or less than. I have always felt safe under their instruction, knowing that they may challenge me, but that they would never push me to injury. They normalize and encourage the use of props, modifications, etc, allowing everyone to explore each pose in their body without forcing it or feeling discouraged. I have also had several work related injuries during my time at NTY, and the instructors have always helped me to modify my practice, without making me feel like the center of attention. This community is truly one of the best I have ever encountered! I have always loved yoga, and have attended many classes at different studios over the years. As a plus sized person, I often felt intimidated, judged, and self conscious at these other studios. At NTY I felt immediately welcomed, safe, and comfortable. They offer different types of classes, so that you can pick the best fit for your personal goals. There are people at all levels present in each class, and I have never once felt like I didn't belong. If you are at all like me, maybe trying yoga for the first time, or feeling unsure in a new fitness environment, this is the place for you! Looking to take your fitness goals to the next level, or improve your flexibility without hurting yourself? You are welcome here! Maybe you are trying to incorporate more mindfulness into your fitness routine, or maybe you just want a place to relax for an hour? This is the place! I can't say enough about how NTY has improved my mental and physical wellbeing. My life is forever changed for the better by my time here. So come take a class! You won't regret it, and maybe I will see you there! We are happy to have you!

Not gonna lie, I struggled in the last 20 minutes of the class but when we were given a cold, essential oil-infused towel at the end, I felt like it made it all worth it. The facility itself is right next to a great coffee shop I worked at before the class and the parking lot has plenty of parking spots. Inside there were showers, lockers to put away personal items, and all the yoga essentials like mats, towels, and yoga blocks. Also went to my first sound bath and it was great - the owner was very sweet and really cares about each person that comes to the studio. Highly recommend checking out a class and/or sound bath!

I just attended my first session at Yoga Balance, a Fundamentals class with Tracy. I was worried…read morethat I wouldn't be able to do everything, as I'm 62, out of shape, and have no sense of balance. Well, it was difficult for me, but Tracy helped me and I felt comfortable about it all, though still annoyed that I let myself get so out of condition. Tracy was moving around everywhere, helping all the students with adjustments or corrections, explaining how we could modify a pose when we had difficulty. She gave me a folded blanket to protect my knees, a bolster, and a block to support my back, and helped me out when I couldn't get into position--while helping everyone else, too--how about that for multitasking. The Fundamentals class was difficult for me so I'll try the Gentle Yoga class next--will definitely continue going to Yoga Balance to get myself healthier: the place is very welcoming and calming and I wanted to hang around and just absorb the mental and emotional peace. It's nice that they have such a selection of classes for the very unready like me to the advanced. The other students (yogis?) were kind and considerate---no one made fun of me, and I felt comfortable in spite of my difficulties. The fees are very reasonable ($10 or $15 per class), there are no contracts or enrollment fees to lock you in, and the studio is small and cozy. I was concerned that it would have an exclusive upscale feel that would intimidate me (it's in a rather upscale neighborhood of McKinney), but it was friendly and inclusive, kind, and welcoming. Really a nice place.

Because I'm a parent to an 8 month old that I had to hire childcare for just to make this class and I drove from 30 minutes away in ice and slush. But that doesn't matter because it's not my business. What does matter is that I was told there was a 5 minute grace period. Now that I know that there is not, I know that YogaSix does not work for me. Extreme rigidity does not fit in with my life right now. Which is a decision I could've made before spending $300 on a class pack. My hope is that this review provides someone else the transparency i wanted for myself. update in response to management's response: your reply insinuates that we've spoken about more than one incident and that i was late it by more than 5 minutes. was that your intention? the facts are: i have taken 7 classes and was late once. and on that day, i arrived at 12:03 (3 minutes late) and was not allowed entry. why not check the cameras to confirm? that contradicts your statements upon sign up and in your response that you have a 5 minute grace period. i'm also not the only review to mention this and you seem to be defensive in receiving feedback instead of looking at it as an opportunity for growth.
