I've been going here for about a year. Rest variety in equipment and you usually can find something that is open. I would give it 4 stars but the the maintenance and cleanliness is awful. Treadmills are not balanced well after maintenance (wobble when you run). Bathrooms are disgusting - empty toilet paper, overflowing trashcans, etc. Update - 4 months later and the bathrooms are still disgusting and not stocked first thing in the morning. Very disappointing Another update. Here is a picture of the men's toilets at 5 am. You would think they would clean them at the end of the day.

Terrble! Avoid. Could be less helpful. My family and I have been members since 2018, including throughout the pandemic. I have also had a personal training package for the entire period which was clearly sold to me at a level above my needs, but fine, I signed up to it. Throughout 2018 and 2019 when the initial term of my agreement expired I used my personal training regularly. During COVID in 2020 & most of 2021 I downgraded my number of sessions as I wasn't using them and I restarted in late 2021. At this point I had built up significant levels of unused credit. Upon re-starting I had a sun optimal experience. It was clear that my trainer was struggling to fill sessions and my sessions were regularly scheduled when he could do multiple people at once and frequently (more than 10 times) cancelled sessions very often after I'd arrived at the center at 6am for them. Last year he told me he was not continuing with LA Fitness leaving me no personal trainer. I recognize I could have switched trainer but after 3 years of regular sessions I was questioning the benefit and availability of alternative trainers at the club rarely matched my schedule. However, the prospect of losing the 37 credits on my account worth about $1,850 has made me reluctant to cancel going forward. Then on Feb 2 2023 I severely fractured my left ankle in three places, each bone in multiple pieces. My ankle has required surgery but the prognosis going forward is that if I can recover full pain free use of my ankle it will require many months of rehab and physio therapy. Given this, I have made the decision to cancel my personal training membership. It's a tough pill to swallow to lose the credit I have accrued but so be it. There's no way I will be able to use personal training for 6 months at least. Thus it's pointless continuing to pay for it. I also need to reduce some unnecessary spend to help me meet medical expenses. When I call my club to cancel, I'm basically told that I have to come in and speak to a personal trainer to cancel. I don't believe that requirement is actually in my agreement. Given my physical condition that's difficult and if I did come in, no one at the club seems able to confirm when someone with the ability to help me would even by there. Three weeks ago I escalated to Kathy Polson, CFO via LinkedIn, since LAF provides no customer service number or email. I've had no reply and further charges have been made to my card despite the person I spoke to on the phone telling me both my membership and Fitnesd were on hold. I'm so done with this shoddy organization.

They were pushy when trying to get you signed up. The kids area was a joke. The only reason I wanted to join was because I needed a gym that can accommodate my son. Crazy how they are not set up for more of a family atmosphere. More of a neighborhood friendly gym. Lifetime fitness is better as far as doing things with families, but to far for me. LA Fitness Is still a gym. Note bad. Just not for me and family

Don't come here trainers feel like the owner, they don't have any boxing bags after talking to the front desk she said they only have one in the training area. So I walked in only being there for couple seconds some guy walks in and tells me I can't be in there and tells me to leave so I walk off. Ive been to many lafitness in dfw area I've never had a problem working out in that area. The guy was racist to me cause I was Mexican. I just left

The photos speak for themselves: multiple machines out of order, massage chairs down, massage guns unavailable, ripped medicine balls, filthy equipment and floors, old bulbs in red light therapy beds that are now pale pink, and flooding whenever it rains. I've repeatedly contacted GM Joey about being overcharged and my calls and messages have gone unanswered. He also promised new treadmills if I changed my previous negative corporate review--those treadmills never came. After I left an honest Google review and reached out multiple times for resolution that were ignored, today, Saturday July 25th, my best friend who I train with and I were confronted by a manager in what felt like retaliation. At this point, I'm seeking legal advice regarding my membership and the services that were promised but not provided and breach of contract. I have multiple pictures on google reviews that I can't post here, go check them out.

They hold no standard to hygiene, cleanliness, or being sanitary. They're more worried about your gym bag being on the floor than people smelling like they haven't showered in a year. I feel like I'm on Skid Row in LA with all the homeless people, but they probably smell better.. The fact that isn't their first priority blows my mind. People walk-in smelling like absolute $h!+..... Yet they are more worried about gym bags on the floor! The new manager with reddish hair is dismissive when it comes to that part, but wants you to carry in your weight belt, wraps, handles, straps, wallet, keys, phones, and anything else you need and place it on the floor in a pile and move it everywhere you move. She said the bags are a tripping hazard but not the individual items that you bring in. Let me mind you this location isn't the typical Planet fitness, it's a real gym layout so their are bodybuilder types there moving big weights and competing for more then the "i went to the gym today". For the gym to not a standard of just common currency of not smelling like a third world country blows my mind. The staff even comments on how bad the smell is when they teach the classes. I have dropped 300+ pounds on my chest because a group of unhygienic people walked by me as i was working out.. YES, it's that bad at times!

They are so great with the kids and it frees me up to lift, play pickleball, or participate in a class. They will watch your child for up to 2.5 hours which should be more than enough time for a workout and shower. Additionally, kids can participate in fun activities like rock climbing, ballet, hip hop dancing, and martial arts while you work out. The thing that really drove home the value for me was the parents night out. Every week they will watch your children for 3 hours on Friday or Saturday night. On the pickleball front, it's hard to beat having 6 indoor courts, which are relatively easy to book - all at a cost of membership that is comparable to pickleball clubs.

I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness for over 20 years (based at the Plano and Allen…read morefacilities) For a place that calls itself an "Athletic Country Club" with the continually increasing prices to match, this place does not live up to the moniker. In particular, as a customer of the Allen Spa I have never understood why the spa did not have it's own bathroom facility. Massages, facials, and hair appointments frequently take a while. It is reasonable that someone would want to use the restroom before, during or after a service. The idea that you have to walk across the entire facility to the locker rooms for their 5 aged and sad looking stalls in the ladies locker room seemed ridiculous and potentially embarrassing. So the "brilliant" answer was using the much closer "family" bathroom in the "family" locker room. That was workable, but certainly not a great answer. And now they have decided that Spa clients are no longer allowed to use the "family" bathroom. I do not know the real reasons why, but I assume it has something to do with not being a "family." Locked out! So we are now fully expected to trek our foiled, caped and oily bodies across the very large and very public facility to those previously mentioned locker rooms. I know of no country club that would expect its members to parade around in such a manner, nor inconvenience their hard working stylists and therapists with a bathroom so very far away. I really wish the Lifetime would fix this situation. It makes visiting the Spa stressful rather than Zenlike and peaceful....which is how a spa should feel.

Whether you're brand new to fitness or a seasoned gym-goer, this place is designed for all levels of physical ability. The personal trainers are knowledgeable, supportive, and great at modifying workouts to fit your goals and limitations with focus on proper form and calculated movements. The nutritional coaching is a huge bonus. It's not a one-size-fits-all plan--they take the time to work with you individually and help you build habits that actually last. The month-to-month membership is reasonably priced and gives you flexibility without locking you into long contracts, which I really appreciate. There are no additional fees.
