Wow. My first time here. Must be new location. Water is crystal clear. Felt clean The ladies restroom was very clean. Very nice employees. I usually go to the La cienega location in Los Angeles, and they close the pool 30 minutes before close. Here you can swim up till 8pm on Sundays. All I have to say about LA Fitness is great Zumba class. Jennifer makes class fun and exciting on Wednesday nights. This class jump starts my fitness week and I look forward to her class every week. I'm very disappointed with how this LA Fitness location handled an ongoing harassment situation. A member has harassed me multiple times, and even after staff warned him not to do that, he continues -- and nothing is being done about it. This member has threatened to hurt me, and the only action taken was a verbal warning. I've emailed everyone, called corporate, and even reported the situation to the police. The Manager Nikki, has not taken any meaningful steps to protect me. I've been a loyal member for years, but after this experience, I no longer feel safe here. It's extremely disappointing that LA Fitness allows this kind of aggressive behavior to continue without accountability. Beautiful big gym. Lots of weights. New facility yet they are too cheap to buy collars for the equipment. I almost had a very very nasty accident on bench when one of the plates rolled off as it moved during set. The plat fell off and the bar landed on my neck. Luckily someone came to rescue. All this could have been avoided had the gym provided $5 collars for the equipment. First LA fitness I have never seen them at. Would never ever come back after this. read more

New renovation sucks. Took out all the seated cable machines for upper body. I loved the seated chest/shoulder/ back cable machines !! And some of the new matrix machines are cheap AF and you cannot adjust the seat or chest part?! Not everyone is the same height.. makes it not functional for me. They replaced a lot with huge Rogue power racks that are rarely used. They did add a squat belt machine which is nice but other than that eeehhhhh.. miss the old machines unfortunately. read more

**If you're interested in taking it to the next level and NOT waste time at the gym, see John ASAP** I went in today for a work out and ended up meeting John who's a personal trainer and nutritionist at LA Fitness in MoVal (Eucalyptus) John is super friendly, knowledgeable and can definitely take you to the next level. I really appreciated the fact that during our workout he wasn't just telling me what exercises to do and how to do them, but WHY I was doing those exercises and the science behind them. Watching YouTube videos is one thing (and does help) but having a professional working with you, teaching you and correcting issues in real time is priceless, especially for those that are just starting off. If I can give any piece of advice I'd say to at least go talk to him and do a FREE body fat percentage test. Let him know where you're at in your work out journey and setup a workout with him. The gym is nice. It's smaller than most LA fitness' but still worth the membership to just work out. After my first day I ended my work out and asked the front desk Jose about pricing on personal trainers and he said we actually have a deal going on right now for 2 sessions per week for $180 I said awesome let's do it. I left and later that day I received an email with my receipt that I was charged $180 but it said that my sessions where only 3 per billing cycle which is not 2 sessions per week. I quickly texted my personal trainer Andrew about it and he said that he wasn't in the gym that we would figure it out tomorrow morning. Next morning both Andrew on Jose where standing in the front check in stand and right away Jose tells me that so the way we had to input into the system to get the $180 price it will show as only 3 sessions per week but the agreement I make with my personal trainer will back that agreement. So okay great right? Well after about 2 weeks of personal training sessions Andrew started texting about the free session were but I wasn't understanding what he was talking about. Starting our workout he mentioned that there is a totally different price system that Jose didn't follow. He should be the list of pricing that I should be getting only 3 per month. I said I'll talk to head of personal training which is Jeramy. Today Jeramy and I went back and worth on what was agreed on verbally and that they would not back the 2 sessions per week. For two guys to go behind on their word after me bringing it up multiple times before I even started my first session just uncalled for and I won't be paying for that kind of behavior. I have over 4 businesses and never go back on my word with a client. Jeramy canceled the contract for me today because I was just upset that they said I changed my story and that's not what I was told which is complete bs. I've been a member of LA Fitness for over 10 years and I have to say, having a staff greet you by your first name is pretty classy. Think about, someone took the time to remember you. It's the little things like that that separate good from great! That's one of the main reasons I continue my membership there. Shout out to JAYLENE SLACK, a phenomenal staff member at LA FITNESS who sets the standard for customer service. When I walk through the door to start the check-in process, she greets me by my first name. It sparks a big smile every time and starts my workout in a positive frame of mind. The renovation is pretty cool but there's not enough cables... I feel like there's still enough space to fit a cabled chest machine or two and 2-3 more cable crossovers. I know many guests have noticed the lack in upper body cabled machines so I really hope they make the necessary additions. Could also use one more leg extension machine that isn't from hoist (not a fan of the hoist brand, feels like too much momentum). Machines aside, the employee they have on the floor at night spends more time working out than he does actually cleaning or organizing anything. Pretty frustrating to see so often. read more

Last year, on April 20th, I finally decided I'd had enough of being unhealthy. So I went to an LA Fitness near my job, got a membership and trainer to help push me further than I ever could on my own. Jeremy Villa was the one who convinced me to get a trainer. He seemed to know I had trouble with accountability and that I needed help really digging in. It's nice to chop it up with him from time to time. He's also shown interest in my progress and let's me know sometimes how good I'm doing. Linda Valdez convinced me to get a membership and not to worry about how I might look while working out. Lol. She always greets me by name when she's working or working out. Or even says goodbye by name. She makes gym days feel more pleasant than they already are, and I really appreciate her and her amazing customer service. If I had an issue, she tried to take care of it immediately. Andrew Johnson is my trainer. Like me, he was in his late 30s when he began his own health journey. Also, like me, he was a big guy. So he knew what I needed to do, how hard to push me, when to stop, and when to crack a joke that made me laugh mid workout. He's been absolutely amazing. When I was ready to move on to something else in my regime, he'd let me know. To my surprise, I kept getting stronger without realizing it. He was there every step of the way, killing my body every chance he got to strengthen me to my core. Finally, I couldn't have made as much progress without Z's knowledge. GetJuized is the juice bar at the gym, and Z is the main man. He knows so much about supplements, what every individual needs to obtain their goals, and even gives tips for healthy, delicious foods that really help one stay healthy. Along with fantastic workout advice. He's never steered me wrong. And his people are just as helpful. Jacob is someone I chop it up with nearly every time I go to the gym. He also knows a lot about supplements, food, and health. I'm back to high school football weight. I started weighing over 300 lbs.. I am now, comfortably, under 290 lbs. with muscle definition and a much healthier outlook on life, as well as just being healthier than I was last year. I'm not stopping now. We got the gymbros and they so motivating and cool and we have these long talk with the bros in the sauna. We got athletes to that come and they always have the best advice I love this gym. I've also changed my whole physique from a skinny slightly overweight dude to know a straight topg. I highly recommend the protein shakes their bomb!!!! From a potential prospect customer.. I was searching for a gym near my home but also a gym with multiple locations due to my work schedule I'm traveling from Riverside County to LA county for work and stay in each city a # of days, upon a little research LA fitness fit the best amenities  for me personally so I signed up for a 3 day pass to get a feel of the gym. I signed up early morning by 7am  and scheduled a 6pm appointment for the same day, as entering the staff in the front desk we're completely welcoming, I arrived a few minutes early to my appointment. After a few minutes the staff was able to look up my appointment confirmation then walks over to a desk where two employees at the time eating two big bag of hot Cheetos ( no problem, I love them too..) turns out I was scheduled with a young girl staff by the name of Vanessa. She right away asks for my ID asks if I still live at the location listed on my ID because they are only able to sign up members if they are not within a 6 mile radius, I told her it should be less.. from the get go I was being asked all the possible questions.. I believe to disqualify me from obtaining a membership.  Then I'm told they will have to go based on my license #,  then I'm told the system look like it's down.. she saw my backpack I had with me, and says were you planning to work out today? I said yes. She's like go work out (without knowing the place) and come back to wait for the system to come back up. I asked to wait and confirm if I am able to sign up before wasting anymore time.. if for whatever reason I am not qualified within the 6 miles radius and would look for another gym. She confirmed the system was down so I told her I would come back another day because by this point I felt she did not want to help.. without any hesitation she told me come back another day and hand my driver license back.   I called another LA fitness and asked if my current location in my listed in my DL would interfere with me signing up at their location, briefly explained what happened and that staff so confused at what had happened. If I could give this gym negative stars I would. They signed me up for training services and never once reached out to me about scheduling services. I've called and texted the "head trainer" and they claim they'll call me to schedule services not once did they. The manager Juan who signed me up at the time said I'd be on MONTH TO MONTH. When I attempted to cancel because no one ever reached back out to me about scheduling training services they said I'd owe $900 to just cancel. They give out false advertisement and do not care about their members. Their customer services is the absolute worse.
