I would like to recognize Alec at LA Fitness on Canyon Springs for the outstanding time he took to sit down with me, walk me through the training process, and help me create a realistic plan to achieve my weight-loss goals. From the moment we met, Alec was motivating, encouraging, and genuinely listened to my concerns. Because I have knee injuries, I was worried about starting a workout program, but he took the time to explain how I could exercise safely while still challenging myself enough to make progress. I never felt rushed or pressured--he made me feel supported and confident that my goals were achievable. Before returning to LA Fitness, I spent time at EOS after being a member of LA Fitness for five years. Unfortunately, my experience there was disappointing. I paid for personal training sessions, but appointments were repeatedly canceled based on my availability, and I was still charged for those missed sessions. It was frustrating and ultimately made me regret leaving LA Fitness. Alec reassured me that my experience at LA Fitness would be different, and honestly, I believe him. I might hate this location. Probably the least pleasant LA Fitness I've been to, and I've been to a lot of them throughout SoCal and IE. A lot of their machines are old and janky and need to be replaced. Weird layout too, like a small nook in the back that's overfilled with two cable machines, lat pull downs, assisted pull ups, and some other random machines. To top it all off, there's kind of bad ventilation, and the whole place smells funky. Please renovate this location. It needs it. read more

This is one of the best LA Fitness gyms, seriously. It is well kept and the staff are very kind. Equipment layout makes for comfortable workouts which is huge for me. Alec in the fitness training department is exceptional. He truly helped me understand the right workouts for my body and gave me the right motivation I needed to smash the goals I placed for my fitness growth. I do the women's Glute class with Rebecca twice a week and her class is absolutely phenomenal. She has a great personality and makes class not only informative and educational but motivates and encourages the ladies. Joining a class can feel intimidating but Rebeccas attitude, attention and dedication keeps the class full weekly And she has cultivated the most welcoming environment, I've experienced in a gym atmosphere. Double dipping account with auto debiting. Billing was done on July 23, billed again today, two weeks before the scheduled next billing. Customer service claims that that last debit was non existent and doubled down when challenged. Have go out of my way and waste valuable time to correct this issue. Proof is provided by my bank. If you're thinking about getting a membership with this gym, please get every single thing promised to you in writing before agreeing to the membership. Do not cave in to high pressure sales, give yourself a moment to review what you're getting, and confirm that the policies in place are what you're told verbally. The gym seems decent, but I just don't like that I was lied to get me to sign on the dotted line. I purchased the membership one week ago today over the phone with the GM Charlie. I wish I would've tried the gym and Pilates reformer membership before actually joining the gym, but I was told I had two weeks to check it out, but when I went to the gym to cancel the Pilates after try and get one time, I was told something different. I realized with the one time trying to class that it's not for me because I injured myself. The manager of the gym had no empathy for my situation or the fact that I was told something different when I got the membership. I can't emphasize enough that if you're going to join this gym, please do your due diligence because they will do anything to get you to sign up. This like a decent gym to work out at, but just know that if you don't understand something or have been told something other than what their policy truly is no one cares. Two nearby LA Fitness locations: Alessandro & Moreno Valley (heck even the Arlington location is superb) have had renovations with modern equipment and more aesthetically pleasing gym environment for its patrons. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Lack of care, attention, and respect for their customers. I canceled my membership after finding out because clearly they don't have high standards for your sensitive information. I kept getting calls for a week saying I needed to pay all because of HER lack of care for her job. My billing name was changed to someone else's as well on my app. I hope corporate reads this because leaving someone's debit card on another account for over a week is INSANE. Ruben Mesa was the Coordinator who changed my membership to include guests. Now, I can take as many times two guests during my 18 month membership. He was very patient when I was doing my calculations to see how much it could cost me a month- Ruben is a young man who is friendly without loosing his skill of respect towards the older population . He is helpful and informative. The club has many helpful and friendly staff beginning with the front desk, teachers and coordinators. Very nice staff, equipment is always clean and working! I transferred to La Fitness from Planet Fitness just recently and I am beyond glad that I did! Everyone at LA is very welcoming and friendly. Extremely patient, polite, and kind. I met with one of the LA Fitness team members to begin basically a personal goal and workout journey. Shane, he was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. He was very welcoming and had an amazing personality! He even took us through a workout routine which will now be added to my workout routine. He made it fun and he was also very motivational! On weekends they can be so annoying. They have a class in the exercise room and blast the crappy music so damn it over takes the other music, your own headphones, and your concentration. They refuse to close the door to the room. If you close it they open it right back up. One time they said because it gets hot with the door closed. Wtf? You're doing cardio class and expect to stay cool? Besides there is ac in there. They are rude af. Have a huge attitude about this and are rude af. I've been going here for 15 years or more. Another thing is there isn't much staff around and NOBODY restacks weights even though there are signs. They obviously don't clean the place at closing or put things back before closing up. They tried to enforce it a while ago with someone on the intercom reminding folks but they stopped that and wasn't to proactive when announcing it. Staff is doing what is required by the government to keep this place open. Temp check, masks required, hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray available, limited classes available, no basketball or racquetball, pool and spa and sauna closed, majority of lockers unavailable, 25% occupancy (75), some machines blocked off for spacing. Members aren't doing nearly as well. Over a quarter of members remove their mask or tuck it under their chin while working out and do not maintain social distancing. Management leaves it to the members to follow mask requirements. Use the sanitizingvspray, wear your mask, keep your distance. read more
