So I'm a member at L.A. Fitness and I will usually go twice or three times a week to a variety of their facilities. This one is one of the facilities I visit the most. You could easily see me here at Junariel's Zumba class on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:45pm. Junariel is the best Zumba instructor I've had. However, as of lately he has been late for most of his classes. Regardless, I enjoy his class a lot. On the other hand, this facility is probably one of their older one around Orlando. If you visit Waterford Lakes or the one at Goldenrod, these other facilities are bigger, with newer equipment and spacious. This one is ok... although it has old and new equipment, the facility is small and jam-packed. Finding space to even take a breather is often hard since it is packed to capacity. Finally, some of the equipment is kind of old and in need of TLC. Nevertheless, I will admit I would have never even noticed these older equipments if I hadn't been to newer L.A. Fitnesses. The place is run by young, inexperienced kids. In a nutshell, that is why the average on all their reviews is no more than 2.5 stars out of 5. The place is a disgusting mess. They need to hire an experienced staff of custodians. I could not tell you the last time I have saw someone genuinely CLEANING! Instead I see a herd of nonchalant teenie bopper so called managers who do absolutely nothing. Could be a nice place. Horrible management just destroys it. This Esporta was easy to get in and out of. The parking lot is a bit tight but it's nice they're open later on the weekends. I was studying with some classmates and ended up here afterwards. Got my workout in even though my local LAF would have been closed already. Wish it were closer. read more

I can say, working at this location part-time and having worked out there for free because I was an employee, totally unprofessional regarding management and staff. Manager plays favorites, I had the 5 a.m shift and treat like garbage and paid garbage. I left due to unprofessionalism. The staff look at you as annoying or an inconvenience. Any time you come here, 3-4 machines will be broken. And you will have to try 2-3 paper towel dispensers before finding one that has towels. Usually work out at golden rod location and thought i would give this one a try. Zero (none) wipes or disinfectant to wipe down machines - so you're essentially sitting in the persons sweat that worked out before you. I asked two times and they "were Looking for it". Wanted to fil my water bottle and asked if they had water bottle fillers. She looked at me so confused. She said "i don't know- you can use a water fountain". OK, it's a bit low-rent, lots of machines but they're getting a bit old, some actually rusty, and many need attention, cable machines have a lack of attachments, the place is pretty dirty (hands got greasy on more than one machine, floor pretty nasty), I thought this was the NEW Esporta? Hmmm. But the worst? A short steroid dude working out and constantly looking at himself in the mirror WITH NO SHIRT ON. I mean seriously, everyone is looking at him (but not for the reasons he thinks :-), and the desk people can't tell him to throw a shirt on? Its gross, no one wants to see a self-absorbed guy's short, shirtless, sweaty, steroid body peacocking around the place. You know the type, pretty comical. Way bigger and stronger guys there not acting like that. Management needs to step it up a bit here. read more

Very disappointed. Was lied to when signed up. I was told I can move and continue my membership. I was transferred to Phoenix and was told my membership is not authorized. They over charge me every month. Highly recommend not to use LA Fitness. Cancelling the contract is a pain in the butt. I used the Sauna, then the jacuzzi after taking a shower I felt rash in my left arm then I went home itching my arm and the entire night I was uncomfortably sleeping. Next day I was worst and I went to LA to reporte it to the front end and she filled up a report. I still don't know what happened but 3 days later my arm still feeling worst my arm is warm and I can't stop the inching and the rash in my arm. I am drinking anti allergy and still the same. I'm very happy with this gym heard about it from a friend . I wanted to start my workout journey and this is really close to my house the price range is not too bad for all of the things that they offer. What really keeps me going is the classes that they offer. Eboni is a great teacher and she has a great music selection and I always burn several calories in her class ! On 2/7/23 the so call General Manager was at this location with a poor attitude. He was extremely unprofessional and rude. When asked for a number for corporate he ( Spanish look guy) lied to say there wasn't no number and he didn't do anything wrong. This gym is a total dump. Always dirty, packed with rude people. They have machines that are apple compatible, if you have the first generation iPhone with the wide plug (10 years old now?) As with most gyms, the people at the front desk are some of the most arrogant people you'll ever meet. There are plenty of new gyms around to choose from, this is not one of them. read more

I have been attending classes at this gym for quite a while with a friend of mine who is a member. I like the fact that I do not have to pay for the classes and there is no pressure to sign up for a membership although I attend the classes regularly. The staff is friendly if you need something. The reason I did not give it five stars is because it doesn't seem like they monitor the sauna. And both times I have been in there recently, someone has been literally sleeping in it. Like all out snoring. I don't think that is very safe or healthy so I think a staff member should check routinely to make sure that people are actually alive in these things. Otherwise, this location is clean and there is an ample amount of machine and weight use for everyone to use. Busy times tend to be between 6 PM and 9 PM. read more

I've been coming here consistently for over a year now, and I wanted to go with 4 stars, but here's why I didn't. The weight machines seem old, in that some of them show signs of wear and rust. When one does break or needs repair it takes way too long to get it done. Weeknights are definitely the busiest time, between 5-8pm. If you're planning on working on weights, chances are you'll be able to do your full circuit without waiting, but not necessarily on the machines you want to use. That said, I do really like that they have several different types of machines to work out specific muscle groups. The workers always seem nice and not as overbearing as when I first joined. I do really like this gym, just some small improvements would go a long way. read more

There is a hefty sign up fee, but getting out of your membership is not a hassle. - Occasionally, at high-use times, the men's bathroom sounds like a frog pond in spring, except instead of ribbits you hear a thousand grunts, farts, loud exhalations, and loud complaints about ex wives. After reading some reviews, and at the 5 minute mark of waiting on hold, I decided to hang up. The reviews of the rusty, worn equipment and dingy environment helped me to decide to hang up. Obviously, they need some sales people who are also more eager to answer the phone...and a receptionist who knows how to return to a phone call when it's been on hold for a long time. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE at this location!!!!! I signed up for a ONE YEAR CONTRACT in November 2018 with a personal trainer for a bikini contest I was training for. $300 a month plus the monthly fee of $31.94. From my understanding, my contract should have ended in November 2019 because again.... I signed a ONE YEAR CONTRACT. I called in November of 2019, and spoke with a man who told me I was able to use my left over sessions that I had already paid for during that year until they run out. That was a lie. Today, I found out I have been charged the $300 every month since November 2019 until now June 2020 (minus the months of April and May due to to COVID-19) without my permission. Unfortunately I made the mistake of hooking up my LA Fitness account to my credit card, so I did not notice the money was getting taken out of my account EVERY MONTH until today. I have been paying $300 a month and not used a single session for SIX MONTHS!!!!! NOT ONE SESSION!!! Until last week. From my understanding, after speaking to the man in November, I was able to use my left over sessions. I took a break from the gym because of a back injury but was recently cleared to go back so last week I used 3 sessions with my trainer. One of those sessions I brought my sister. Since then, I have received 3 phone calls from LA Fitness asking how her experience was but didn't even get a courtesy call from them when my contract was up in November, and they were going to continue charging me the $300 monthly. After speaking to the operations manager, Regina, she informed me that once the year contract is up, I have 30 days to let them know if I want to cancel the contract or continue paying monthly. I was not aware of this when I signed up or I would have definitely set a reminder in my phone to avoid all of this conflict and loss of money (I'm really good about my lists and reminders in my phone). After expressing my concerns about this issue... the only thing they can do for me is refund the $300 I was charged for the month of June because I caught it when the charge was made. They can't do anything about the $300 monthly charges from November 2019 - March 2020 (thankfully they didn't charge me during April and May due to COVID-19) WHEN I WASN'T EVEN AT THE GYM!!! They can CLEARLY see that I didn't go to the gym during those months, let alone use any sessions with my trainer. You'd think they would give me a call seeing that I pay all this money every month and don't show up to any training appointments!! Just like millions of Americans, I lost my job in March due to COVID-19 and have not yet returned to work. I'm struggling to pay rent and keep my lights on in my house and damn sure can't afford to be paying $300 a month for a service I WAS NOT EVEN USING!! I feel defeated. I've lost $1,500 in the past 5 months and the only thing they can do to "help" is refund me the payment for June 2020. I am very thankful for that but am still very disappointed in the way this situation has been handled. It seems to me there is nothing more I can do but leave a review for all of you to read. I want everyone to know how the people at this LA Fitness location handled my situation. Needless to say, I canceled my membership and will never set foot in another LA fitness again. read more

I've been a member at L.A Fitness for over two years and I have the membership that allows you to visit any L.A Fitness club. This location is small and the staff isn't very friendly or helpful. I barely get a hello when I come in the morning. What's really disturbing is that I usually work out at 5 a.m. and the some of the equipment is obviously dirty (dried sweat) from the day before. They should wipe down the equipment at least two times per day and especially at the end of the day so that when people come it they can use clean equipment. Also, the carpet needs to be cleaned and the ladies bathroom area floor needs to be mopped/cleaned regularly. I plan to explore the other clubs in Orlando but this one is closets to my job. read more

They tried to assuage the lack of refreshments by installing a few vending machines... that sell snack food! Chips? GAH! What kind of message is this sending? Also, why is there a banner for Papa John's Pizza in the lobby? Are we trying to lose weight or gain it? I suppose some people need to bulk up, but this isn't the most encouraging means. Why not sell protein powders and such? Duh! Also, the staff rotates heavily. Some of the more permanent staff ought to learn to say hello to the regulars. I used to see this one girl at the counter every time I went in, and she barely looked up at me to see if I was the same guy on my ID card. She's gone now, thank you very much. A few other people barely smile at you. Whatev. I'm there to do my thing, not make long term friends with gym rats. The machinery is well kept. They dust and vacuum all the time. And when something breaks or gets worn out, they fix it quickly. This Conway location is less crowded than the one on 50, I guarantee you that. In that respect, it's a convenient place to work out because you can get on with your routine without waiting for machines or benches to free up. This place could be a 5 star gym again if they worked on customer service a bit more. It's not that hard to say "hello" or "have a nice day". Also, do something with that Smoothie area! I've been coming to this la fitness for the last 4 years. The only reason I continue to come here is because it's so close to my house and I can get my workouts in before I go to work. Overall the equipment and size of the gym is good and has pretty much everything I need. The one thing that bothers me is that I find the gym to be messy and disorganized most of the time. There's many times when the dumbbells will be scattered and out of place right at opening which tells me they don't organize at the end of the night. The front desk people seem to always be watching tv on their phones at all times. read more

Been attending this gym for well over a year and I have to say I really enjoy going here. All of the employees are really friendly and really enjoy cycle class when Kim is there. I have also enjoyed the kickboxing classes and the yoga class. does This gym has changed a lot over the past year and they have only slightly affected me in a negative way. Listen, I like LA Fitness, I just feel like they could do a better job. The main plus for LA is the fact that they have so many locations nationwide. If I'm going on a trip I can still get my workouts in. Their gyms have pretty much everything you need. All of their locations can get crowded but I do feel like this one has less of a crowd. I still prefer to go right at opening to miss as much of the crowd as I can. Though I don't understand how I can be one of the first people in the gym and it's already a mess. There's weights missing, things laying on the floor, etc. Why can't they put things away at night? It's not like LA is a cheap membership. This location used to have three ropes that connected to the cables, now there's only one. One?! That's hard enough to use at 5 am, I can't imagine how hard it is to use it at prime gym hours. One of the front desk agents told me he's been trying to request more but they haven't been sending any. Is LA Fitness corporate really that cheap? And don't even get me started on the eye roll that the designated personal training area is. This location does also have a basketball court, a pool, and a sauna. It also went under a remodel about a year back but our equipment still isn't as nice as some of the other locations. I honestly only keep coming here because I need a gym to go to and there's tons of locations, but I am going to check out Crunch as they start opening their locations in this area. read more
