Can we say delicious Mexican food?! Seriously took me by surprise when we stopped here for lunch. We had been to another Mexican place in town and didn't like it at all. Wasn't expecting to enjoy my meal so much. The carnitas I ordered were cooked perfectly. Im thinking that they slow cook it! Delicious. Chips and salsa were very good, tasted very fresh and the salsa wasn't spicy. The waitress was very kind and made sure that we were doing ok every so often. Clean inviting restaurant but could use some decor. Service was excellent 10 out of ten. Food was mild flavor not what I hoped for but Pahrump has elderly white population so I get it. Food fresh made by scratch but lacking in the spice. I had Chicken Enchilada and Chile Relleno with rice and beans . For me overall 7 of 10 only because of service. The food was absolutely amazing everything was made by hand. The salsa was my favorite it wasn't to hot or to mild it was perfect. Breakfast was amazing as well they have the best French toast and pancakes. The service was amazing the waitress and waiter were so nice to me and the bust boy was amazing at his job and they should really promote him to waiter. it felt like high school. the one in charge was so loud it hurt my ears. 6 employees doing everything, and doing nothing. the food was ok, nothing to brag about. the hot iced tea was $4.00 per glass. i was given the bill before we finished eating and asked for a refill on the hot iced tea and the loud mouth waitress gave me a snotty look and then returned with a glass full of ice and half full of tea. i was surprised at the cost of the meal, $45.00. i went to the counter to pay and the loud mouth waitress yelled at me as she told me the cook will take care of the bill for me. my wife and i talked about the meal and service as we ate and decided that we would wait a month or so before we go back to give them a bit of time to work out the bugs so to say. after paying the bill and the loud mouth waitress yelled from the other side of the restaurant "thanks for coming in", we decided to not return ever. read more

Greeted & sat immediately. Miguel was awesome! He was very kind, made sure we knew exactly what we were ordering, he answered any questions that we had and he checked on us throughout the meal. We had the menudo, pozole, and a few of their yummy $1.75 tacos. La Fonda is the best place in Pahrump for birria tacos, I like that they use two tortillas instead of one. Very poor service and the food is not really that good for the prices charged. Much better Mexican food in Pahrump. On the walls are pictures of human skulls questiona ble art work that probably should not be on display in a family style restaurant for children to see. The restaurant is usually very slow at peak dinner hours which could cause food to be come old and stale and affect taste. I prefer busy restaurants with high turn over to help insure freshness. The location is not great either. I'm sure Gordon Ramsey would have plenty to say. read more

The street tacos are amazing. I could eat them everyday. We had carne asada and carnitas. They were both so good. The tortillas are great and I actually ate both of the tortillas on the tacos. Usually I don't do that because at most places the tortillas are just not that good, but they are that good here. The carnitas had a great texture. The salsas were good too. The green is my favorite. It has a great flavor that adds to the tacos but does not cover the flavor of the meat. I will definitely be getting these again next time we are in town. read more

$20 dollars for 3 Tacos and a Small portion of Beans and Rice. I wanted to eat there but gentlemen assumed it was to go and didn't bother to ask prior to taking my order. Pretty clean tables and floors. Customer service needs major upgrade. Definitely need to stop the rationing with the portions!!! And Please be fair and not greedy ! $20 dollars is insane ! Don't take advantage of the town's population because it is Growing and will continue to grow and you will soon be out of business! driving by saw sign tacos 1.50 tuesday and thursday.. Hit the brakes and turned around..thursday lunch time jan 26 ,2023...So came in the owner greeted us very nice and funny made us feel at home. Gave us killer chips and salsa all home made . ordered 3 abobada tacos . which nobody ever has . They were so yummy unreal . my buddy and i got done 9.50 or some thing couldn't beleive gave him a 5 dollar tip and told them we would be a regular .. First time coming to this little place that is tucked away. The food was super delicious! I got the 7 seas soup while my son got carne asada. The chips were served fresh and the salsa had a really nice heat to it. Who knew this place had a buy one get one free drink on any alcoholic beverage from 7pm to 9pm Friday and Saturday's! I only gave 4 stars because they brought my food out while my son waited another 8 minutes for his food. Also, I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what but you would see the server go from a quick walk in the dining area to a fast sprint back to the kitchen. My new overall favorite Mexican Restaurant in all of Pahrump, from the Spanish rice and the Refried Beans both always delicious and cooked to perfection to the Cheese enchilada combo plates either red or verde style to my favorite and always a must order for me, the Chile Relleno Burritos ...I highly recommend all the above and plan on trying other items on their large but mostly typical Mexican food menu hopefully soon. Downsides are that it often takes a 15 to 20 minutes or more wait, until your togo orders are ready, so I recommend to call ahead, also sometimes the place smells of burnt fried fish like Mc Donald's for Lent when everyone is buying the fillet o Fish sandwiches. This Restaurant could benefit from some very needed ventilation. They have a nice and spicy hot red sauce and a tasty green verde sauce as well, don't forget to ask for them. *Tip if your like me and don't like filler aka rice and beans in your Carne Asada or Carnitas Burritos they will make it your way. *My previous review of La Fonda is no longer valid whatsoever, since this place was taken over by new owners over a year ago and has completely changed most everything except for the name* read more

Hadn't been there for almost 2 years. So happy we went back! Food was excellent and they have monthly and weekly specials along with $1.50 Street tacos on Tuesday and Thursday! Thier asada street tacos and meatball soup (albondigas) is super delicious! Their food is really flavorful. Fast and efficient customer service. Food comes out promptly and fresh. So my first time here only came across this place because I had a birthday party to go to near by and I was early I ordered a breakfast burrito potato egg and cheese as I was waiting for my food I started to get worried looking around food tasted soooo bland no flavor no seasoning on my plate had little side of lettuce tomato not something I'd put on a breakfast burrito inside the restaurant was a hot mess no decor simple plain and dirty everything looked broken messed up i don't know if I came in wrong day or ordered the wrong thing was not impressed I don't even want to image what the kitchen look like will not return read more
