People were super nice, very clean and the food was AMAZING! I haven't had delicious authentic food like that in a long time.

We recently visited for brunch with my niece and her children. We had just gone to Starbucks and picked up a Frappuccino and another iced coffee drink for a treat. Unfortunately, the restaurant has a policy that no outside beverages are allowed. We really didn't understand how strict they were about it, since it's not like they offer anything like a Frappuccino or iced coffee as a beverage. So there's no competition there. My niece had a very awkward conversation with the person who greeted us and it was just overall a very unfortunate interaction. The server looked at me and said "We're not going to have an issue, are we?". She was SO rude and really embarrassed my niece in front of her young children. Salsa was good. I was craving carne asada tacos so we decided to go there. Bad idea. The meat wasn't seasoned at all. The menu said it was grilled ribeye but it just a piece of round steak with a lot of gristle. Got one taco out of it and left the rest. The service was good and the place is clean. I order the carne asada burrito and the guacamole and pico were awesome I was less impressed by the beef in the Carne Asada. Definitely one of our favorites! We had great service and great food our first time in which brought us back and now they know us and as soon as we sit they bring us our drinks and our server knows what we eat! We never have to want or wait for anything!!! Actually I sent hubby by for take out since I had surgery and he ordered my meal wrong and our girl corrected him!!! Thank you!! There weren't many dining choices in the worn out town of Pahrump but this place had some good reviews. We drove over to the strip mall and got a table. It was a Saturday night so there were maybe six groups in the place. The service was fast and friendly. They served the typical basket of chips and salsa - the salsa was good. They also gave us a small bowl of a bean dip which was also good. I started with a strawberry margarita which was good but not sure how much tequila was in it... My wife got the stacked chicken enchiladas with a red sauce and guacamole -she gave them a thumbs up. I ordered one cheese and one beef enchilada with a tomatillo sauce. Unfortunately they got the ordered wrong and I got chicken not cheese. I went with it and it was fine. Prices seemed cheap after Vegas but they were typical of most Mexican restaurants in non- touristy areas. Solid not exceptional. read more

It was 6:50 and we chose this restaurant because our first choice for Mexican food closed at 7:30 which seemed too tight, and this option was open until 8pm and actually had slightly higher reviews. We had high hopes, but unfortunately all we got was poor service, okay food, and an awkward experience. For one, we were literally the only people in the whole restaurant. The server/host/bartender sat us with an AirPod lodged in his ear. We ordered drinks and food, and he seemed genuinely annoyed we were there. When my son banged his straw on the table to force it though the paper wrapping (not the way I'd prefer he open it, but he's 12 after all) we got a dirty look. My husband ordered pollo ala diabla and when asked, he chose "spicy" over mild or medium. Surprisingly, the chicken was not in a red sauce (the only way I've ever seen it prepared) nor was it particularly spicy. I got taquitos and would have really appreciated some sour cream or a refill on our now empty salsa dish. However, unlike most servers who bring your food and ask, "is there anything else I can get you right now" or something along those lines, our server set the food down and walked away, literally without a word. As we tried to eat the food as quickly as possible because it was pretty clear we weren't wanted there, the server started mopping the floor (at this point about 7:15, still 45 min before closing) with a very pungent cleaner which really detracted from the quality of the food. We scarfed the rest of our food and got out of there - on the way out I saw the "specials" sign that had my husband's chicken ala diabla listed. Apparently they offer a creamy white sauce or red chipotle version, but we were never asked what we preferred. I really wish we had saved our money and just eaten at one of the numerous chains in the area than be treated poorly and given mediocre food in an awkward, smelly environment. read more

The ambiance as soon as you enter is very inviting, service was welcoming and quick. I like to start with that because hospitality and customer service are top on my list.The restaurant is quaint, decorated with colorful, traditional zarapes. They were playing some cumbia tribalera and had a happy hour special (M-Th 3-6pm) Originally, we just went for $7 strawberry margaritas, they did not dissapoint. Margaritas were enormous, adequately strong and creamy( I like mine blended) with a chamoy/tajin rim. We tried the fish tacos. Those were also delicious served with a medium tangy avocado sauce.We shared an order and were satisfied. I have also had menudo con pata, and carnitas. All of it delicious. Being 100% plant based, we were thrilled to learn Las Patronaz prepares their beans without any lard. We called in advance to be sure they could prepare food without cheese and sour cream. They were nice from that first call. We visited the restaurant that same evening and were impressed all the way around. The waitress didn't blink an eye with our many requests from serving the salad on a plate instead of in a fried flour tortilla bowl and leaving off all dairy on our meals. My husband had two veggie burritos one with veggie fajitas and I had the spinach enchilada plate with a salad. She gave us extra salsa at no extra charge. The salsa was super yummy as was everything we ordered. The waitress (we wish we had gotten her name) checked in on us frequently. The next time we go to Death Valley, we will plan to stop in again. They are closed on Mondays so we were glad we went on a Sunday afternoon or we would have missed this gem. It is rare to visit a restaurant anywhere nonetheless somewhere relatively remote that has consciousness with preparing fresh healthy food. Thank you to everyone at Las Patronaz. Excellent. We have tried almost all of the Mexican restaurants in Pahrump. This has been by far the best and the cleanest we have been to. We have been there many many times and tasted a variety of different things off the menu. All have been excellent . We went there on Valentine's Day and they had a shrimp enchiladas special which I tried. The photo below shows the shrimp enchilada special. It has white rice, which is different from their normal Mexican rice. They have the best chips and salsa. The first round of chips and salsa also comes with bean dip. As for the two ladies pictured, we feel so bad for the waitress who was serving them. The waitress was so patient with them and even told them of menu options. When their food came out they tried to say the food wasn't what they ordered (even though the waitress repeated their orders twice), then made the cooks remake it in order to fit the lady on the rights diet, then the lady on the left tried to say there wasn't a chili in her food (even though there was)! Deff not good at all the carne asada plate. The meat was white in color and pink on the inside. The meat had to have been microwaved because it looked like pork which I asked and was told it was carne asada. The service is great for sure but deff I'm not lying this was the worst carne asada I have ever had in my life there was zero flavor on the meat deff not marinated at all. It looks like it was grilled then frozen then microwaved and given to me. The meat was very very chewy and very thick to a point where it was hard to eat. My server was awesome, but my food was once again one of the worst dishes I have ever had from a Mexican restaurant just zero love in the dish as u can see in the picture. Very unfortunate dish for how much it cost at $17. This item on the menu needs to be changed asap and the carne asada needs to be a thinner cut with not as much fat all over it. The ambiance here is very nice with great music but they need a cook who puts actual love into his food just saying I'm a white boy and could destroy this if I had a cook off and not even a cook.
