    Horrible funnel cake.
    Cici G.

LWe stopped in for some Funnel Cake (pictured in the window) and Horchata. They were out of Horchata, so I got a Caramel Mocha instead. With tax, the funnel cakes were $8.50 each. The gentleman working the cash register was very friendly and offered to bring the desserts to us in the plaza seating area since they were going to take 6 minutes. I'll wait 6 minutes for fresh Funnel Cake! As soon as we began eating, we knew something was wrong. They were stale, hard as a rock in places and cold in other places. We approached the employee and asked if they served us old, reheated Funnel Cakes. He was surprised and said No, he took them out of the freezer and cooked them in the oven. They weren't old. OMG. Frozen and baked funnel cakes. I told him that they were horrible. And they weren't cheap! The only reason I did not rate this place as 1 star is that the employee offered us a refund and said he would talk to the owner.

Two HUGE sides of garlic bread. We could have shared one side between us!

Food was DELICIOUS! I ordered the Pasta de la Mama and my friend ordered the ravioli and we each got a side of garlic bread. The pasta dishes both came with basic small sides of toast, but the garlic bread was HUGE and covered in cheesey goodness! Everything was delicious and exceeded my expectations!

The gentleman that works here is absolutely lovely! The food is wonderful and at a fair price. I think most people do take out because there isn't very much seating room. We ordered the lasagna, fried calamari and the steak plate. Everything was full of flavor and seasoned to perfection. There is also a variety of drinks to choose from and fun desserts like churros and funnel cake along with the traditional cheese cake and tiramisu. Overall, I will be coming back. I want to try the Mexican pizza next. I highly recommend this place as a great hidden location.

Meatball sandwich. Burnt w tons of bell peppers and next to no meatballs on mexican bread. GROSS

DISGUSTING This is Mexican food disguised as Italian food. We ordered 2 sandwiches, They both came on thin hard bread. the Italian sub had very little meat and processed white american cheese, The meatball sub was very burnt around the edges, the sauce was watery and sugary, the meatballs we tiny and hard plus it was more green peppers then anything. It should have been called a green pepper sandwich. This cost 16.25 we only ate 1/4 each and threw the rest away. Our order was for pick up but what we saw of the place in the few moments that we were there was pretty filthy. I was very tempted to just walk out but my boyfriend was super hungry so we just chanced it. A chance I wish we never took. Super gross on all levels.

Little gem in the heart of the Valley. 5 stars if your eating it fresh out the sweeter than pancake syrup homey's hands. Inside of the plaza, plenty of parking in the back. Customer service is amazing. l had the Milanesa Sándwich w/ Fries, the wifey had the Chicken Alfredo. Both super fresh and filling, bread toasted to perfection with just the right amount of love. One of our favorite spots to hit when we're feeling adventurous. Lol.. I've been wanting to try the Chicken Alfredo Pizza! Stay tuned.......

I decided to write this review because I've been coming here for than three years and really liked this place but I was disappointed in their yelp was lacking info and doesn't give justice to this place. Here info on this place 1) Food, their food is great they got many choices varying from Lasagna, Fettuccini Alfredo, Mariscos, wings, fries, shrimp, churros, funnel cake, raspados and much much more. with that being said that's why I really like coming here you can literally eat something new for three months straight. 2) Taste, The food is wonderful I haven't had an issue with food being under or over cooked at this place or overly salty or bland dish, I really like there Forcaccia Sampler. 3) Price, The food is a bit pricey but the food is well proportioned. I shared an alfredo fettuccini with my girl before and we got full. The thing about the price is that the whole shopping center has nearly identical prices. 4) Staff, The store is run by an owner and at times an employee. The owner is super nice waiving at people who pass and very approachable, he speaks choppy English but fully understands it. I haven't dealt with the employee so I don't have much to say. 5) Location, The place itself is small it can fit two people inside but they are located in the Plaza de Valle and right outside this restaurant they have outdoor sitting for easily 30 people. This place is easily for someone who wants to take someone on a date, the place is very layback. 6) Parking, Once again located in Plaza de Valle parking is not an issue I can say there are more than 40 parking spots open at a single time Here are some photos of what I ate and the restaurant itself.

Pesto pasta with shrimp, calamari, the seafood pasta and garlic bread. All of this for less than $45!

We had watermelon green salad, bruschetta, la caprese, muscles, calamari, spaghetti bolognese, pesto gnocchi, linguine with clams, three different cooked steaks (medium, well-done, medium rare). We were very satisfied and happy with having done it family style. He came out to greet us afterwards and thanked us for coming in. We would definitely return. Everything was delicious and felt like we had walked into an Italian home and had dinner made for just us. Editing to add: when he was chatting with us he added that he made some things not on the menu because he could tonight. Also-Desserts were divine: tiramisu especially.

I would also like to give special recognition to the manager. she was incredibly kind, welcoming, energetic, and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. We were treated to a delicious pasta that wasn't yet on the menu, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I will definitely come back just for that pasta! We parked in one of their 3 parking spots in the back and entered through the rear entrance. We were greeted by Aya who mentioned they were having some plumbing problems so we needed to sit in the front section of the restaurant. The place is pretty small and compact, with about 10 tables. It's family owned and been around for 25 years. The prices are pretty affordable for the portion sizes. Not much ambiance or decorations, but there was some nice Italian music playing overhead and some Christmas decorations that are apparently hung up year-round. Both Thomas and Aya waited on us and they were both pleasant and kind with nice smiles. Thomas quickly brought out some waters along with their complimentary focaccia that came with olive tapenade. The bread tasted old and stale and wasn't warm, but I liked the tapenade. Surprisingly, we were never asked if we wanted anything else to drink and also never got refills on our waters until I had to ask for one. I ordered the Italian salad with dressing on the side and I asked if the carrots that came in the salad were cooked or raw, since I don't like raw carrots. Aya happily suggested that they can cook me some carrots separately and bring them on the side, which is what they did. Even though the carrots were not really cooked that well, the gesture was still greatly appreciated. Other than that, all the ingredients were very fresh and the dressing was LIGHT, just how I like it. For our entrèes, I got the Pollo Della Cassa which came with chicken breast and mushrooms baked with mozzarella cheese, served on pasta with Alfredo sauce. ($24.95), with an add-on of shrimp (+$3.00 for 3 shrimps). I also asked for light sauce, not too soupy, and that's exactly how it was prepared. The food was piping hot, very fresh, and delicious. My son ordered the Pollo Limone ($24.95) that came with grilled chicken breast with lemon sauce on mushroom risotto. He was not the biggest fan of his food but still ate all of it. He also asked if he could get a side of veggies and they gladly brought out a medley of sautéed broccoli, zucchini, and carrots. We were not charged for the side of veggies and also the salad, which was very generous of them. To end the meal, you get a small complimentary square of Tiramisu which is a nice little treat. The customer service is truly the best part of this restaurant and you can tell that there is a lot of love involved here. They really care about their guests and want you to feel happy and satisfied. Due to some minor ticks here and there, I think I am going to stick with 4 stars overall. The restaurant was clean but just kind of unpleasant. You could also smell the bleach right when you walk in and sometimes the smell would waft through the air. It was also really hot in the restaurant and I don't think the A/C was working. They have one bathroom for each gender and they were very clean. I also asked for some change to leave cash for the tip, but Thomas told me they didn't have any cash in the restaurant. How can that be? Thank you Spumoni, Aya, Thomas, and the chefs. Will I return? Maybe, maybe not.

What a crazy number of days, weeks, months we've spent without enjoying the good food and friendly service at this comfy, homestyle Italian eatery with a full bar and even fuller menu of properly prepared, seriously tasty dishes. The room is cheery and bright, while remaining welcoming. Not a sign of anything corporate here -- just homespun hospitality and good vibes from start to finish. Our server, Chris, was attentive and most accommodating, explaining various options to us newbies, and making my wife an offer she couldn't refuse: she was trying to decide between Chicken Parm and Cacio E Pepe, so Chris offered to swap the plain pasta side of the parm with Cacio E Pepe, giving her both dishes in one. Sold. You pretty much never see that kind of thing happening nowadays. And it was a great thing, to be sure. The generous portion of chicken was lightly fried and topped with an equally light tomato sauce that complimented the chicken and cheese rather than overwhelming them. The flavor and texture were spot on, and the robust Cacio E Pepe made for a very nice pairing. Me? I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, once Chris assured me it was made the traditional way rather than doused in cream as so many places now do. And indeed, the spaghetti was textbook al dente, dressed with with egg yolk and cheese that combined into a richly satisfying sauce. The pancetta brought a touch of salt and plenty of smoky accents, making this about as top notch a version of this dish as you're likely to find in the Valley. Cannoli were sweet and rich; a wonderful palate cleanser at the end of our meal. A Pepperoni Pizza taken to go for our kids at home looked absolutely first rate. Did I mention my martini? Properly made, cool and crisp, and only $15. Quite the bargain for this side of town. Yes, Trattoria Del Sole came as a surprise, but it should be no surprise to anyone reading this that we'll be making this our regular haunt from now-on. I think you should, too.
