Excellent, I am very picky when it comes to pizza having lived in Chicago area for many years so it has been hard to find a pizza that I enjoy in Florida until now! I ordered this pizza through a food delivery service and it arrived hot, fresh, and excellent. The crust, ingredients are fresh, and it was a quick delivery. I finally have found after years in Florida a pizza place that reminds me of being back in Chicago. I have not eaten this pizza at the restaurant so that experience I cannot comment on but from what I just received it gets all EXCELLENT from me. I am used to paying the price for these pizzas in Chicago so for the quality it seemed on par with what they charge. It is a standard pizza price in my opinion if the pizza is of quality. read more

Arriving here this evening I noticed they have a small dining area in front of their counter with a couple modern looking tables. They don't sell slices, just whole pies to order. So, I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it took them 20 minutes to make it. The girl at the counter was decent and she spoke english. The price was just over $19 for the pie, which was pretty high compared to other places. And I must say, it wasn't that great, it tasted very plain. The crust was thin and very crunchy. There was a good amount of cheese, but underneath it was hardly any pepperoni, and it was tasteless. There was a good amount of sauce, but again, hardly any flavor to it. Ordered two pizzas, one cheese and the other one with anchovies black olives and mushrooms. The second pizza had a fly inside that flew away as soon S the lid was opened, when suddenly I smelled why the fly was in there. The anchovies where spoiled and smelled like rotten fish, had to literally put the box in a garbage bag an threw it in the garbage. Called the restaurant and was told that there was nothing they could do about it... no one had complained. I guess after 10 people complain about rotten ingredients they take care of it read more

This pizza shop is located right next to the Doral library in the publix shopping center. I don't know why Google map pointed that it was next to ichiban buffet. Anyway, we ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was fantastic. Their pizza are thin crust but the only crunchy part of the pizza is towards the end of the crust. The rest of the pizza is flappy and chewy, like NY style pizza. Their Basil topping is not fresh, so it's a waste of money to get dried basil sprinkled on your pizza. Save yourself the couple bucks and get something else. You can always sprinkle your own dried basil. I also have to mention that they are pretty pricey. read more

I gave this place a shot after reading some good reviews. They make a pretty decent thin crust pizza. The cheese has a nice flavor, the toppings were sufficient, and the dough is great. I am not a burned bottom dough(aka coal fired) fan so this was more my style. I wasn't the biggest fan of the outer crust as it was extremely crunchy which isn't quite my style, but overall the pizza was good & I would order from them again. Prices are fair for a non-chain place so give it a try. On a side note, it reheats well in the microwave the next day! read more

Pretty much it doesn't matter what pizza you order you simply cannot go wrong. I strongly recommend you to have their Hawaiian. So..... this place has been here for years and we had never bothered to try it out. We just never felt inclined. Today my daughter was getting a nice hair cut, style and keratin treatment in the strip mall and it was taking forever. It was a long day and I didn't feel like cooking. As we waited for her my hubby and I were walking around checking out the shops, and La Fortuna had a great deal on a large pizza so we gladly ordered to go. Bringing my cute Rock Star home with her new cut and a delicious smelling pizza in the back seat, we were thrilled as we all were famished. It could be considered NYC style, thin crust that's not crunchy, little sauce and a lot of cheese and it was really, really, really good. I thought it was my tummy talking, but no, even after I was satisfied it was still delicious. They don't honor the prices on their menu and they don't make you aware either that they changed their prices. It's not until you pay and look at the receipt that you see the difference in price. This is what a large pepperoni pizza looked like. It's tasted like a frozen pizza! Each slice had about 2 pepperonis and no where on their menu does it state they only make thin crust pizza. When we called to complain, the person who answered the phone did not speak English and told us they were going to send someone to pick up the pie in order to replace it. I seen other negative reviews about this place but in a counter position I enjoy getting pizza here. The prices are a bit too overpriced then other pizzas restaurants but I always love to visit the library then enjoy their delicious pizza. If your looking for a place to get good and okay priced pizza I would definitely recommend La Fortuna. I suggest they lower their prices. Aswell as I was browsing through reviews and noticed people were mad since some of them didn't speak Spanish. It's called La Fortuna in SPANISH I personally like it's hiring people that have not yet learned or mastered English because they too still have to pay bills. I would also like to point out their neat restaurant it's very small but welcoming. It's dog friendly too. I once arrived with my dog at the restaurant I left my dog outside with my mother and went inside to order. Once they went outside to give me the pizza the employee was super nice to my dog and even came out with a bowl of water for my dog. In the end La Fortuna may be overpriced but the employees, the food and environment is totally worth it! read more

Hands Down ....Best pizza in Doral. and honestly for me best pizza I have ever had. They have great carry out specials Monday - Thursday. All their Pizzas are thin crust . But the ingredients are so fresh, so good. They also have a delicious lasagna. It's a little place, mostly for take outs or deliveries, they do have a maybe like 8 tables on site, if you want to eat there, very low key. Convenient, Delicious, inexpensive. There's a reason this place is called "la Fortuna" the fortune in Spanish. In my opinion, the pizza is grossly overpriced. Two pizzas are on average $45-50. Yes, it's good, but not to die for, so to me not worth it. Also, once I had them deliver the pizza, about a few minutes away, 5 at most, and I was short on cash, I told the driver that I was so sorry I could not tip him more, I only had a few bucks, and he got so angry! He said "really?!!!" But with the nastiest attitude and told me to make sure to give more next time! I should have called the restaurant to complain, but I didn't want to cause trouble. Pretty good pizza. It's thin crust and has a lot of cheese, a little sauce. So it's definitely a taste based on preference. If you want americanized italian- go to a chain. If you want authentic Italian cuisine from Northern Italy- this is the place! All their pasta is made fresh, and their ingredients explode with flavor. THe food does take longer than other restaurants, but if you are with good company, enjoying drinks and their amazing pesto bread will keep you from being bored. We went with all four of my kids, and even when they were antsy, they just hung out at the fountain for fun while the food cooked. The waitstaff, food, and choices are all fantastic! So I get a large pepperoni and a medium cheese with breadsticks, and Some say the pizza is a little over priced, well I feel like I just got scammed for $43. Out of respect the pizzas and bread were made so I paid it, but they lost a customer forever just on a large pepperoni coming out to $21. It's my bad for not asking for the total first, but now that I know good luck to anyone else that wants to get scammed on a pizza that doesn't even cost $3 to make. I have been a longstanding customer of this pizzeria ( 12 years) famous for being pricey but always very very good. I ordered a large pizza and it wasn't a quarter good as it always has been. I called it in and said that it was overlooked, too little sauce and little cheese and they said they were going to give me a credit in order to get the same pizza as a way of being fair. After a couple weeks I went and called in for my pizza and spoke with the same lady that "gave" me the credit. She ended up giving me a free small pizza instead of the large that I initially had.
