All of you that love this place, seriously? I've been to the airport location a number of times and always disappointing or bad. If you want a water, a bag of English muffins, or maybe a cup of fruit then it's fine. I just ordered eggs, sausage, fruit, and an English muffin. They weren't scrambled but just one flat thin overcooked egg. The sausage was disgusting. So overcooked and hard it clearly came from early early this morning and sat or from yesterday and was warmed. The fruit cup, different than the prepackaged fruit they sell separately, was dark brown around all the edges. Look at my other reviews and you'll find that I am always consistent with reviews and give places a second chance. I've been to their main Phoenix location and the market was great. The food we had their was mildly disappointing to average. I will not spend another dollar here. When you leave a review try to forget your perception of the place and how awesome their reputation alone is. Judge it on the experience. This place sucks and after multiple times I've solidified that fact. Colleagues have told me the same but they don't yelp. Many of these popular local restaurants that have airport locations use airport employees because it's cheaper. The exception that I'm aware of is Cartel Coffee. They employ their own employees that have been properly trained and care about the end product. This place just isn't worth the great tasty muffins. read more

I pick up the kale salad that costs $11. cashier wasn't friendly at all. it looked tasty but it wasn't. no taste and I didn't finish most of it. Well, I tried to get my LGO fix before I left Phoenix. I made the mistake of thinking the airport version was the same as the flagship location in Arcadia. I have been to the flagship store over 100 times, and the food quality is always consistent & excellent. Their pizza is amazing yes, but so is their green chile burger. It's a generous beef patty made with never-frozen grass-fed beef. Now for the airport version of the green-chile burger that doesn't belong in the same universe: the beef patty was not the same weight, it was a thin, dry McDonald's quality patty. It lacked flavor and was just old & tired. Also I asked for it to be cooked medium & it was well-done. I don't think the English muffin was from LGO. There was no Russian dressing. The green chiles were soggy & disgusting to the point I took them off. I didn't have time to bring it back since I had to board a plane. If you are looking for a top-notch restaurant in Phoenix give LGO in Arcadia a try. Skip the airport location which is bringing down their brand that they have been trying to establish for many years. read more

Absolutely the BEST tuna salad in the Salad Nicoise that I have EVER tasted!! And possibly the best airplane meal I have ever experienced. This is no tuna from a can - its in nice big pieces with just the right amount of creaminess. I loved the added golden raisins and the dressing. The salad comes with kalamata olives, par-boiled green beans, tomatoes, half a (perfectly cooked) hard-boiled egg and a side of green leaf lettuce. This salad along with a glass of red wine ordered on the flight and I was in heaven! Great for taking on the plane too - its so fresh, no one will know you are eating tuna and its not at all messy. Best breakfast at sky harbor. Quick with four registers open. The commuter sandwich is outstanding!

I've eaten here twice. It is rather good food for airport food. While the items themselves aren't that memorable (burgers, sandwiches, etc.) the ingredients seem really excellent and the quality is high. If I need to eat at the Phoenix airport, this is where I'll go. read more

I've flown through Phoenix several times and never would have given this place a second look if I hadn't spotted all of the great reviews on Yelp. I got a gluten free Mother Earth pizza (easily large enough to share if you're traveling in pairs), a cup of fresh fruit, and an iced tea for a little under 30 dollars. The pizza crust is great and the produce tastes fresh. Great place to stop if you have an hour or so to spare between flights- like others have mentioned, it's not a place to grab a speedy snack. read more

Seriously disappointed. I drove past several "real" restaurants to get to the airport early because a Phoenix local said they were excellent. Not sure what I was expecting, but it sure wasn't this. The California burger was just passable. The counter person emphasized how they cook their patties medium. Mine was medium well PLUS. No moisture left in the meat and it was nothing more than an $11 slider. The sea salt brownie was inedible. The texture was supposed to be fudgy but came off as undercooked. Tables are basically on the concourse so after settling diwn you have to pick up your things and try to balance it all with your plate of food. A juggling act for the lone traveler. The one bright spot was the hand cut well seasoned fries. Brought back memories of pre-franchise Chili's in the 70s or early 80s. Two stars is probably generous. read more

Don't do it. I know this is airport food, but come on. You charge $13 for a burger that is barely bigger than a quarter pounder. Got the bbq burger and it had so many onions on it, they were the only thing I tasted. Thank God I asked for the bbq sauce on the side. The worst bbq sauce I think I've ever had. Tasted like ketchup and brown sugar nothing else. Good luck. I think the only reason they are still open is because we can't leave the airport between flights. read more

Home of my favorite salad ever: Kale and Quinoa with shredded chicken, grapes, red bell pepper and Champagne vinaigrette. All fresh and wonderful ingredients, but the one that puts it overt the top is the addition of preserved Meyer lemon. When I fly west, I choose Phoenix as the layover so that I can get his salad. Absolutely horrible. Did take out chopped salad was not worth $11.00. Small portion and the pizza was ice cold and was like as thin as a piece of paper maybe 3 pieces of the schrieners chicken sausage on it. Pathetic. $30 for that meal Are you kidding me. 11 bucks for a cheeseburger would almost be acceptable if the cheeseburger were exceptional. The burgers served here are not. It's an airport with few options for food so I suppose they are taking advantage of a captive audience. My daughters and I were looking for reasonably priced sit down dining during a layover this past week and chose La Grande Orange. We had a grilled Tuna, stacked Turkey sandwich and gelato. The sandwiches were good with lots of 'trimmings' and served with fresh pineapple. The gelato was yummy and creamy per my younger daughter. However, the real reason I'm writing this review is for this establishment's honesty! My older daughter left her bag/purse behind at the table and we didn't discover it until right before we had to board the airplane. She was very distraught and with good reason. The bag contained a Samsung tablet (for her and her sister to watch movies on during the flight), an iPod, numerous art supplies, souvenirs and other personal items. I told her to have faith that a good person would turn it in and we would be able to call about it once we landed (even though deep down I wasn't so sure someone would turn it in). Once we landed I tried calling numerous numbers, but never found a number directly to the restaurant and could only leave a message at airport lost and found. Amazingly, we received an incoming call from a lady at La Grande Orange stating she had the bag. We told her we could reimburse the shipping changes and she took the time and effort to FedEx it to us that very night. We just received the bag with all the contents! We are very grateful there are still good people in the world reminding us (and our children) to just have a little faith. I'm sure many items get left behind at airport restaurants and although we value quality of food and service, nothing can compare to integrity. I was traveling thru Phoenix this past week and spent some time at your LGO restaurant while on a layover. I felt it was worth my time to share the positive experience that I had. The food was very good but the customer service was excellent. Your manager on duty Naomi was very kind, helpful, and professional. She went out of her way to make sure that I was a happy customer, checking on my experience and on the quality of my food. You could tell that she really cared. Today was my first time here at La Grande Orange I have to say it was amazing due to the young cashier Iris. She greeted me with the friendliest smile, and she calmed me down. I was so lost and having an anxiety attack from the rough morning. She offered me a menu and, told me what they were serving. She had told me what the popular items where and also what she usually would get. I was asking so many questions and I felt as if I were annoying her but, she wasn't bothered by my many questions and was very patient. I ended up getting a stacked turkey, she recommended to get it pressed, saying it was better that way. I'm so happy I took her advice the stacked turkey (pressed) was delicious. I ended up going back to her and ordered a half cafe caramel latte and a chocolate chip sea salt cookie, which were both fantastic. Way to do La grande Orange! They have excellent staff at this location. I will definitely pass by again! read more

These guys are amazing! I usually grab a bite here when I pass through the Phoenix airport because they offer healthy good food choices. The last time I was passing through, I didn't think I'd have time. I asked at the air carrier desk and was told boarding was delayed by 40 minutes so I went and placed an order. While waiting, they started boarding my flight (air carrier was mixed up and referenced wrong flight), so when I asked how quick it would be ready, Ski (?) told me just to board and they'd deliver my food. Found this hard to believe as they were very busy, but I trusted him. Before the plane closed the door, the flight attendant came to me with a bag from La Grande Orange withy meal - a veggie panini sandwich that was delicious! I think they need to start promoting that service of meal delivery on the runway. It was an awesome experience and so impressed with Ski's degree of customer service. read more
