Cold Ham & Swiss sandwich. Better tasting than it looks in this photo!
    John F.

I didn't eat at the regular restaurant but the self-service Cowboy Ciao kiosk at Terminal 4 because I just needed a quick sandwich and a bottle of water for my flight. The only reason I'm doing this review is because the sandwich was actually really good, and I usually have terrible experiences with grab-and-go sandwiches. Specifically, I picked up the Well-Fed cold ham and Swiss sandwich on wheatberry bread. If you can find this brand elsewhere, I'm sure it would be just as good. I think this kiosk is simply run by HMS Host. Check out was pretty easy and quick.

Stopped in on the second leg of my flight because it was close to my gate. It is very loud and they were busy. I think because they serve alcohol. They have a limited menu (sorry forgot to photo) most items start at $13 and go up. I had the Mac and Cheese and it came with bacon and the bacon made it complete. It was filling for me. My server Vicky was very busy but stayed in the game.

    Flat Iron Steak - $35.99

When flying out of Sky Harbor, my gate was moved to this area which is where I've noticed most international flights depart/arrive from. My coworker and I decided to stop here as we had an hour before boarding (later delayed to have more time). Historically, I haven't eaten meat for a couple years, but I decided to have a steak as I've been adding slowly in per doctor's dietary recommendations. The menu lists as "Flat Iron Steak." It didn't mentioned being sliced and I genuinely thought would be served as a steak. It was only four slices and due to slicing lost a lot of the juices (likely the meat wasn't rested), and also seemed unevenly cooked. Pretty disappointing for spending $35.99 and it listed as one of their speciality items. Also, it said it was served with roasted red potatoes, when it came with the breakfast potatoes typically served at other restaurants. Overall, a disappointing meal and the tables seemed cramped/too close together to be comfortable while you ate.

I ordered a fried chicken sandwich, but only ate the chicken too avoid the bread. It was really good. Also has an espresso martini. For an airport restaurant/bar, I'm pretty impressed. The bartender was also cool. Overall a good spot to stop when waiting at Terminal B high numbered gates.

Extremely impressed! The Quesadilla is so good! Our server was quick and gave us a recommendation. I wonder if this place has more locations? I would definitely eat here again.

They say avoid airport restaurants, but I disagree, especially here at Cowboy Cíao! The food was amazing, and the service was great! The waitress was very friendly and polite. We were seated at a table, and we took our time to dine. We were not rushed out. Recommended. 5/5

We had pretty long layover at the airport on our way to Puerto Vallarta so we decided to sit down and give this place a try for breakfast. Definitely worth it compared to most airport food. They also have a full bar so if just looking for a place to sit and chill while waiting check them out.

As far as airport restaurants go, this one was pretty decent. Fast food just steps away was crowded with people waiting for food and this place had dozens on open tables. The service was quick too. I had the ciao burrito (breakfast) with fried potatoes which were pretty decent. There's a window looking out to the jetways so there's decent natural light. It sure beats waiting for fast food with a bunch of frustrated travelers.

What a pleasant surprise to find this place in the terminal. The chopped salad is one of my favorites that I usually get at the Gladly, so I was delighted to see it available here in the airport. Here it's called The Stetson Choped. It was as delicious as always with the smoked salmon and a welcome lighter meal compared to most airport options. Service was friendly and fast too to help get in and out when we needed

This is a great place to eat between flights. The service is fast, the staff is friendly and the good is good!

The service here has a a joke. Some guy sits you down and you wait what seems like an eternity for your order to be taken. Music is playing. People are relaxing but the server is even more relaxed. Ordered the chicken sandwich, must say it is not bad at all. Did have a good crispy skin. Had lemonade and it is watered down. They never check on you. Had to almost tackle the guy to get a refill and he brings tea! Really! Where do they find these people? Since they never check on you it will take a bit for your ticket. The server just stands in the corner looking lost. Suggest you try a different place to eat

Hands down the best salad I've ever had!!! Ate mine and then ordered two more to go. Beautiful presentation!

Tried this little restaurant out waiting for my flight . I got seated quickly and got an awesome waiter. I ordered the Mac and cheese and the sunset cocktail drink. He was checking on me but not so much to bother. The Mac and cheese was so delicious and cheesy, and the drink wasn't too strong and was perfect. I'd come again to try their breakfast options.

Food is ok. Prices are ok. They don't have straws for their drinks which was annoying. Took a long time to be acknowledged by the server.

My family and I ordered family style so we can try everything. For starters, we ordered the milk bread, fire roasted bone marrow, spicy peanut and tomato salad, and the tuna pineapple ceviche. I might say this multiple times in my review, but the food was very delicious and the description of the food was very interesting however it all blended so good in my mouth. The milk bread was topped with a miso tomato butter with almond and kalamata. Sounds interesting right? But when you actually tasted it, it was delicious! Who knew to bring such ingredients together to make this?! The softness of the bread and the saltiness from the butter complimented it so well! The fire roasted bone marrow was served with sourdough toast with a jalapeno marmalade with demi sauce. I never had bone marrow, however I met people who either liked it or choose not to try it, but this time I decided to try it. Who knew how soft and buttery bone marrow was?! The spicy peanut and tomato salad was very refreshing, however I wished it was a little bigger in size. The dressing was a peanut dressing, similar to a thai peanut dressing salad. The tuna pineapple ceviche had pineapple with tuna served with plantain chips. It was hot in Arizona and this dish kept it very refreshing to eat. For entrees, my family and I ordered the lemongrass half chicken, campfire seabass, ancho chili glazed pork chop, and the bone in ribeye. The lemon grass chicken was served with carrots and garlic mashed potatoes with jalapeno jam. The chicken was so juicy and you can taste the lemon grass marinated in the chicken. Again, jalapeno jam? What a genius! The campfire seabass was in this chorizo broth along with couscous and vegetables. I honestly can not review much regarding the campfire seabass because I didn't taste, but per my grandma she said it was really good haha! The ancho chili glazed pork chop was surprisingly not dry! I don't really eat pork chops, but our server recommended it and she did not disappoint! The bone in ribeye was delicious!! Super juicy and flavorful! It was served with baby potatoes, arugula, and chimichurri. Filthy animal is definitely a fun spot, the decor inside made the whole ambiance very intimate.

Really enjoyed Filthy Animal though in truth this should be a 4.5 star rating. It was very good but…read morewith a few issues. Our visit started out poorly because we spent 30 minutes driving around looking for a place to park. The front desk sent us to a valet that didn't exist and we almost left. My husband persisted and we finally found a spot. But it took way too long driving around in circles. After that drama, We had a pretty fast dinner but I really enjoyed it. First drinks. My husband got a cocktail. I wanted to order a mocktail but they didn't have a mocktail menu or any non alcoholic drinks anywhere. The waiter tried to describe them but that didn't work. Please get a menu. Ended up with lemonade bc I didn't know what to order. We ordered the tuna ceviche appetizer with plantain chips. I don't normally order things with chips but It was delicious! Great spicy kick and definitely the best thing I ate. Loved it. For dinner I ordered the lamb. I also really enjoyed this so much. The lamb was delicious (a bit unseasoned though). Also the garbanzo dish that came with it was unbelievably great! I was actually amazed that a side could be so good and I just wanted more of it. My husband ordered the seabass. Unfortunately it was underseasoned and way overcooked. The side wasn't great either. He ended up eating one of my lamb pieces. The vibe of the restaurant was great and the waiter was helpful and friendly. Will return if I ever want to brave the parking situation again ! Side note for the business: the door on your last bathroom stall was installed backwards. I struggled inside bc there was no hook for my purse or sweater when I went in there. After I was done precariously balancing all my things on my lap, I found the hook outside the door (I checked and the other doors were installed correctly). Probably should fix that bc it was very annoying for women that need access to their purse in the bathroom.

It took like 20 min before they ordered drinks and 30 min plus before drinks were delivered! Crazy right? The first visit I got the burger and fries and it was delicious. The second time I got a steak medium well and loaded baked potato and the potato was very dry (like an older potato that was on its way out) and although I loved the overall flavor of the steak I had to eat around the edges only and avoided the center because not only wasn't it medium w no pink it was red! Also it had gristle and fat. For $44 it was a waste of good meat and I'm not one to ask a cook to throw it back in the grill when they should know how to produce different levels of cooked steak. The ambiance is a chill dim lit vibe and easy for conversations so that was great! The bathrooms are clean and smell good. Great mirror lighting too. But the front layout is odd, the hostess stand is right there so everyone crams in front of door and there's no barrier to the first large table so you're like staring at the poor people eating at that first long table lol! I think they need to switch up the entry layout and put up a half wall or decorative situation to tuck away that table a bit too. Just my two cents. Overall, I'd go again but it would be really nice if management saw this and trained staff on how to greet table sooner, take drink orders, and deliver said drinks timely for a more pleasant dining experience.

There's also a bar space that runs along the window that separates the small dining room and the patio. There are a few tables inside as well as some bigger tables on the patio. The patio is nice with lots of shrubs right outside the rail. The murals on the wall are pretty darn cool - - they're like enlarged historic photos of the area. I love them! And I'm not sure who's giant face is hanging on the ceiling but it's short a spark conversation. The menu here has a little something for everyone. There's the regular loaded fries and wings, salads, and a nice election burgers. We ordered the Philly Salad and the Very Summer Salad with a side order of fries. They make their own ranch, and it is good. I will say they don't seem to skim on salad ingredients either - - the Philly salad was covered with shaved beef, and my berry salad had a lot of chicken and tons of blue cheese. The fries were delicious - - slightly seasoned and crispy. This place is clearly dog friendly. In fact the day we went there was a sweet Pitbull named Daisy who literally hopped up on a bar stool and sat there like a little angel the entire time. The bar had a dog full of water that they sat down on the counter next to her owner's beer. They also have dog biscuits to give. It made my day to see that sweet little dog hanging at the bar having a treat. This really is kind of a spot that feels like it's probably the hangout spot of many people. Great bar food and a good selection of beers. What's not to love?
