They shorted me a quarter chicken!!!
    Lisa J.

I love coming here because the food is decently priced and you get what you pay for. So I am definitely a frequent flyer but tonight they completely forgot to put a quarter chicken in one of my meals. And no way am I going back because I don't live close by. This really really sucks!!! I'm not happy...

When you need Peruvian food fast and in a pinch to serve a large family, La Granja has you covered. Called them with a large order of a half chicken with sides, a mixed chicken and beef chaufa, and a steak with green tallarines, and it was ready in 15 minutes. The location is huge. Once you are past the ordering area, there's a bunch of tables right past the sauce and toppings station. Even then, it was pretty packed for when I went on a Sunday. The half chicken was very juicy and tender. It was also very flavorful. I was impressed as usually most rotisserie style chicken can come out dry. The beans were very good as a side. The tallarines verdes with steak were good. I've had this dish in several Peruvian places nearby and while not the best one, it holds up nicely. The serving size was very generous as I had leftover pasta for the day after (but no meat... oh well...). Solid 4/5 stars for a quick and flavorful fix. Has gotten pricier as of late but still worth it.

Upon entering this location I walked past several tables that were dirty/still had food and trays on them. Exiting the same way about 20 minutes later those same tables had not been cleaned. The food was mediocre and they definitely skimped in the chicken. It looked like they butchered my piece of chicken so it looked full on top and then picked at the bottom. And the chicken was burnt in some spots and overall dry from overcooking. The rice and beans were fine. The garlic potatoes were about the closest thing to decent here. It lacked flavor sadly. All they did was pile a bunch of minced garlic on it and cooked it in oil or butter. No seasoning at all. I was excited for the yummy looking chocolate cake. However it was awful. The cake itself was extremely dry and definitely over cooked. The dulce de leche filling in between was nice, but not enough to cover the complete lack of moisture in the cake itself. I asked for a refund or exchange for another dessert. They swapped it for the cheesecake. The cheesecake was fabulous!!!! I got one good thing from this restaurant. The service was okay. Atmosphere not the best. Cleanliness non existent. Oh!!! I had some creepy older guy that would not stop peeking around his seat to watch me eat. Not the restaurants fault but so freaking weird. Needless to say this location is a no for me. The food was not up to standards at all.

Amazing!! I got the whole fried snapper, it was so flavorful. I recommend that or the fried rice, I get extra eggs and chicken added, top that with there onion and jalapeño salad from the sauce bar and it's chefs kiss!! I eat here every other week lol I am obsessed. I love there sauce cart, so many different flavors YUM! It's usually busy, my order normally takes about 10-15 mins. You can order by phone. I live close so I never dined in, I always get take out.

The chain that has great sauces but consistency varies by location...let's see how they stack up against it's other locations.

I have to say that i may be an unfair critic considering I've been to most of the Granja locations around. This particular location seems to be nothing special; food slapped together without care, and without really comparing to some other locations (atlantic and 441 happens to be the best). We ordered the lomo saltado, garlic potatoes, and grilled bone-in chicken. The lomo saltado wasnt super flavorful and lacked sauce. The rice was ok, amd the garlic potatoes were just oil and garlic pan fried for a second with boiled potatoes. Really no care at all was taken in preparation of our food. The dessert my gf got was literally pure sugar, i couldn't manage 1 bite. I'll stick to the other locations, until i hear this one has improved.

I'm going to be honest. According the review this place doesn't deserve to many stars, but I get surprised. Based on the concept of the place, more like a fast food than a restaurant, the food was delicious. The portion was so great that I ask for a to go box and I think that I took a half of the portion to my house. Definitely I will came back.

Ordered from Door Dash. My white rice, black beans, and plantains were missing from my order.

A Taste of Hallandale Beach Florida…read more My wife and I were visiting my brother in Hollywood, Florida, all the way from California. Since we had only a short time there, we wanted to experience as much of the local food culture as possible. As we met and talked with locals, one place kept coming up: Fresh and Wild. So, naturally, we had to check it out. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a gentleman who I believe was the owner. We then met the chef, a young woman who clearly knows her way around the kitchen, and her brother, who seemed to be the true "Jack of all trades," making sure everything was running smoothly. The chef took our order: Peruvian fish, black beans and rice, along with a sushi roll. And let me tell you... WOW! The food was sooooo good fresh, flavorful and absolutely delicious. My wife and I literally sat there shaking our heads in amazement at how good everything was. To the entire Fresh and Wild family, thank you for making two visitors from California feel right at home while serving up some incredible food. Your hospitality and the love you put into what you do definitely didn't go unnoticed. If you're in Hallandale Beach area do yourself a favor and check out Fresh and Wild. You won't be disappointed!

The service is always great and just want to say we adore when our server Karen is available. Ask for her, you will be thrilled. That's not say the others aren't also spectacular at anticipating your needs and menu knowledge, but she has a sparkling personality and doesn't miss a beat. It also says a lot when someone has worked there for years and years. It says without words that employee retention is a reflection of the company itself (management and owners). I definitely highly recommend this environment for those who enjoy a lively place as there is a fun and unique way in which they honor birthdays (a great spot for these celebrations), every guest is given a wooden mallet (hammer) to break the crab shells, however, when they announce a birthday wish over the speakers throughout the array of dining room options (one being a large barge on the canal), EVERYONE bangs their mallets on the tables which creates a cacophony of sound! SO much fun, but do not go there if you have a headache or are looking for a low key atmosphere. We adore The Rustic Inn, as it also has a very New England vibe and that happens to be where I'm from. It is consistently great, and it is a little spendy, but it's CRAB, so don't expect it to be cheap. If you want a delicious meal with top tier hospitality, in a down home environment, The Rustic Inn is the best around and conveniently located right off I-95

Oh how I wanted to love this place after hearing about it for years and finally making it there but…read moreit was not to be. We started things off with a fisherman's platter appetizer. It came with a crab ball, two frog legs, gator bites and some peel and eat shrimp in a butter garlic sauce. The shrimp were by far the best part of the platter. For entrees... I had the crab stuffed shrimp which were good but not great. The ratios were off as the shrimp were medium sized at best butterflied with a heaping mound of stuffing. If the shrimp were actually large or jumbo shrimp this ratio would be correct and the flavors would complement each other better. My beautiful date had the skippers platter which came with a strip steak and stuffed shrimp. She had the same opinion about the shrimp and the steak was cooked properly to her liking but it lacked seasoning of any type. I just had a bland beef flavor. Again, not bad, but certainly not what we had expected. Our server, Gemma did a good job taking care of us. There seemed to be a lot of folks there eating crab so perhaps they are more crab centric and that may be what shines there and what they developed their reputation on.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the host. We were also with someone who uses a wheelchair, and they were very accommodating by seating us on the lower floor, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere has a fun tiki island vibe and, even though it was a hot day, the overall atmosphere was really enjoyable. Now, let's get into the FOOD! We all ordered different dishes, which gave us the perfect excuse to try a little bit of everything. We started with the fried zucchini chips with lemon aioli--so good! The lemon aioli really kicked them up a notch. We also had the banana bread with whipped honey butter, and that butter literally melted in your mouth. Both were fantastic! We also tried the smoked fish dip, which came with fresh vegetables. My husband ordered the oysters. They were a little smaller than the oysters we're used to, but they were still tasty. For our entrees, we all went in different directions. I had the avocado chili salmon, topped with a chili glaze, served with herb rice, grilled broccolini, and sunflower sprouts. This was definitely my favorite dish! Simple, fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We also had the Carne Asada Steak & Eggs, Grains & Greens, and a side of shrimp. Everything we tried was really good, and there was something for everyone. Our waitress was excellent--she was attentive, friendly, and always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. She even took a selfie with us, which was such a fun personal touch! The prices are very reasonable, and they also offer a Rise & Shine brunch option with unlimited mimosas, Bloody Marys, or rosé for $28, which is a great deal if you're looking to enjoy some drinks with your brunch. And if you want something a little more adventurous, they have some fun cocktail options, including the Tiki Loaded Caesar with double Tito's vodka, Clamato, candied bacon, an oyster, shrimp, pickle, and a spiced rim. Or you can go for a fresh-pressed espresso martini. Overall, we had a wonderful Father's Day brunch. Great food, reasonable prices, a fun atmosphere, and excellent service. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the Hollywood area! We'll definitely be back!

We ordered the poke nachos, which were delicious as always--the tuna was fresh, and all of the flavors worked really well together. The oysters were also fresh and tasty, and the Real Margarita with Sauza Blue tequila, fresh lime, agave, and a Tajín rim was really good. The scallops weren't really to our liking, but we understand that the kitchen can't get every dish perfect every single time. What really made the experience better was how the manager handled the situation. They were understanding about our concerns and ended up reimbursing us for our dessert, which we really appreciated. The restaurant was a little quiet, and the food took a bit longer than expected, but overall, the good outweighed the negatives. We were grateful that the manager listened to us and helped resolve the issue. Great customer service can really make a difference, and because of how everything was handled, we're moving this experience up to four stars. We would definitely come back and reassess our experience in the future! Thank you, hector as well for being an amazing Bartender/server we were Treated exquisitely. The restaurant is on the east side of 441 just south of Sheridan street. We came from the east and made a u turn at 441 and entered the parking lot through the Mobil gas station. Parking is at a premium here as there's a Family Dollar store and a Sedano's supermarket in the same strip. They specialize in seafood boils. On the window outside they were advertising chargrilled oysters for a $1 each. Dine in only. Woohoo. My husband and I each ordered a dozen oysters and one side of potatoes. The chargrilled oysters were great. Dowsed in garlic butter, and served hot, they actually tasted chargrilled. They came with lemon wedges and a few slices of bread to sop up the oyster flavored butter. The side of potatoes were three small red bliss potatoes that had been steamed. They were plain -- no seasoning --but that was okay as I also dipped them in the leftover garlicky butter. Two things I didn't particularly care for were 1. that they served plastic ware to eat the oysters. And 2. They automatically include a gratuity on the bill (but they said so up front). To sum up: Bottom line -- liked the oysters (especially for $1 each) but didn't like having to use the plastic forks.
