Awesome place! I finally had the much talked about seafood gumbo... unbelievable, and the price is even better. I would highly recommend for fans of octopus, but it also had four or five large shrimp and seafood. I have been to the location on the other side of town, which doesn't disappoint either. This place is not one of the newer, trendy gimmick restaurants around Orlando that overcharge for your food. I'm planning on going there for dinner tomorrow with my dad, can't wait! read more

New OBT location. The sauces are to die for! Grilled chicken perfection! Our meal was nice and what we are used to from this restaurant. If you are a sauce person...definitely try the green one...it's not spicy and is delicious on the grilled chicken. The sauces with onions are good too...reddish one has spice. I would like to see one in West Orlando:-) 3stars overall because though the restaurant is new here it's in a remodeled old building, and the restroom had an unpleasant odor. read more

Omgish, if you guys want to eat inexpensive please come here, everything was yummy and very reasonable. The Bahama platter from king fish, shrimps , tostones with french fries and salad, and rice beans two people could eat out of this dish. Give it a try I highly recommend it. The seafood gumbo is AMAZING.!!! It has every sea critter in it, and it's delicious. Super chunky and everything is cooked to perfection. It was the only thing I had and it was worth the $9. Downsides? The drive thru sucks and is super narrow. But that's it. Friendly staff. And oh. Learn Spanish.... They don't speak much English. read more

Writing this review as we drive away. The food here is never average. The taste is consistently great. The fried yuca is to die for - especially when dipped in that garlic sauce they have. The papa a la hauncaína is good too. Not too spicy, just enough kick. My parents love their arroz amarillo con mariscos, a yellow rice with seafood. They never get anything else. I always get the rice and beans with chicken special. It passes the test EVERY TIME. read more

It's always pretty quick and a solid "fast" food option. Chicken, rice, beans and plantains done well and beats Taco Bell, Wendys, and McDonalds which are the other fast food options around. I never get anything else from there because I don't really care for their other options. I wish the spice level of their "hot" sauces were higher, but overall tasty food. read more

Honestly not worth the money at all. Save your self the cash and time and just go home and cook. They use frozen mixed seafood and charge 15$ for a plate of chewy, flavorless, mushy rice and seafood. Their seafood soup or "gumbo" is so watery, and everything in it is mushy. The bill was almost 60$ for 3 meals and the soup (which was not worth the money). (8/7/2017) Came by to get carryout on a weekday lunch right as they opened at 11am. Place looks like it's housed in an old Popeye's, red roof and brown tile. Got a 1/4 Chicken (dark meat) with Tostones and Fried Yuca for sides. Texture of the meat somewhat mushy and skin a little soft (not crisped). Possibly since they had just opened, this might have been the remainder of yesterday's chicken, but it was well-seasoned and fell off the bone tender. Tostones, and there were plenty of them were large flat pancake-like, dense and starchy. Fried Yuca were inch-thick batons, deep-fried so crisp on the outside, but still rather starchy on the inside (I generally like it a little fluffier, achieved by smaller chunks). The price for this meal can't be beat, though, $5.95. Also, because I have eyes bigger than my stomach and I can't resist, got the Mixed Ceviche. It was 2 large NZ mussels, octopus tentacles, whitefish, medium-sized shrimp, and classic Peruvian garnishes, sweet potatoes, cancha, choclo, red onions. The leche de tigre was very tart lime juice and I got it spicy, plenty of black pepper. Def on the list of lunch options in the area. read more

I waiting in line for 30 minutes and there are no signs at the place that they only accept cash. Their drive through line is one one entrance and one exit. They sold me I'm SOL. I had to wait another 20 minutes to get out. Never again. What a simple task they could of done to let their customers know that they only accept cash. Thanks for wasting 50 minutes of my time. I will never come back to this horribly managed establishment ever and I will tell all of my colleagues that come here often about how bad this experience was. The quality is going down. They changed the way they make the peruvian corn (used in ceviche and other plates.) I think they tried to cater to the USA taste and made the corn sweet, bad move. The corn is hard to eat and weird to the taste when combined with the traditional plates. I suggest them to offer sweet corn as an option. By the same token, I order to-go Macho Fish ($15 mol) with white rice as a side, and they did not provide the rice, even after asking them if it was in the bag. We live far away, so we didn't want to come back, but since we pay using a CC we might dispute the whole bill. read more

La Granja was one of my favorite places to eat in South Florida and I had 2 within 5 minutes of my house down there... it was something that I certainly missed up here. Yesterday I went to this location with a friend of mine after I was desperate for some good Spanish food. We went though the drive though and despite them having a normal menu drive up we had to go to the window to order where they had a paper menu for us to look at. My friend speaks Spanish, and I am glad I had her with me as the cashier at the window did not seem to speak much English (when my friend spoke in English at first and the cashier did not understand what we wanted). We ordered our food, paid and then waited at the window until the food was ready (about 5-10 min) and were on our way. I had the Lomo Saltado and it was delicious. My ex was Peruvian and I have had this dish many times including in Peru and this version landed just a tiny bit behind those plates from Peru and above any local restaurants. The meat was juicy and deliciously flavored and served with a side of fries and rice. The meal costed about $15 and was well worth it. I am excited to return again! read more

We came to eat 18 months ago and food was amazing. Unfortunately this time around food flavor has dropped, cleaning needs upkeep and man!!! the place was soooooo cold. We could of have been better eating outside. A family brought a blanket for their kids, another had to put a sweater on her kid. Before I would drive all the way to the other side of town just to hear and now they have a brand-new location not too far from where I work and is just as good!! So I was cautious to walk in because it looks like a fast food establishment. You do order at the counter and then go back up to get your food but the food is phenomenal. Very Peruvian, fresh meat and fish. We ordered the ceviche and lomo saltado and the portions were very large and very flavorful. Prices were very good as well. Wowee! Flame grilled beef with onions and tomatoes, black beans and rice, 3 different sauces to play with. Delightful and delicious. It's set up like a fast food joint with a drive-thru. I went inside so I could take my time with the menu. Staff was very helpful and I ended up with a spectacular dinner. Very authentic Peruvian. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. This is a Florida chain, and all the locations are good, though some are better than others. There isn't anything that isn't good. Their steaks, chicken, seafood are all tasty. If you only speak English, the place might intimidate you at first, but move through it - the food is worth it. If you are conservative, the steak (or chicken) with beans and rice is a safe bet. If you are adventurous, get the seafood gumbo which is my favorite. Be warned, it's HUGE!! I always get an extra serving of rice to dump into the soup, because it soaks up the flavor. It's a great meal the day after too. There are a number of sauces on the table - I have yet to know exactly what they are, but I think one of garlic, one cilantro/chimichurri like, and one spicy. If you're on I-drive or the Florida Mall, it's worth the drive over to experience some real Peruvian. read more
