So for me when I read a review what I really want to know is if the person writing the review will actually go back and do business at this particular location again. Really that's all that matters right? It's either yes I can't wait to come back or no this place is not for me so what's my answer? The answer is unfortunately no, I didn't really care for this place. The food was OK but the service was crappy, the guy that greeted me, then he sent me and then he took my order and then never saw him again. No refills on my drink, it took a while to get more salsa and what sucks is that is that it was us and one of the table and the guy still couldn't take care of us. We were greeted and seated right away. They served fresh chips with delicious salsa and beans. All very fresh and tasty. I ordered carne asada street tacos and they were very good. Also ordered the daiquiri and it did not disappoint. I added the picture to this review. My daughter ordered a burrito and the tortilla is homemade!!!! Now a days restaurants serve store bought tortillas. Not this place. The tortillas were freshly made. My grandma would be so proud! My other daughter ordered a cheese quesadilla. Again, they used authentic, homemade tortillas. All the food, the service and restaurant was amazing. It was all priced very well. I have heard that the food was good here and was dying to try it. Covid rules are being followed here, Oregon has recently changed the rules to no indoor dining . La Hacienda does offer outdoor seating and pick up, we chose to dine outdoors, it was a beautiful day. We were greeted by a very nice gal who sat us down outside in front of the business. The waitress took our drink order at that same time, we looked over the menu and everything looked delicious. Our water and sodas came with our chips and salsa, we chose to have machaca and flour tortillas and my wife chose a chicken tostada. We chatted as we enjoyed chips and salsa, we looked at each other and smiled , both of us were smiling because the salsa was so darn good ! Our food came out in a timely manner and my machaca was delicious, the rice was obviously home made and the refried beans were home made and flour tortillas were home made fresh also, I love fresh tortillas. My wife loved her chicken tostada, she said all her ingredients were fresh also. Our first experience here was outstanding! The folks were super nice and the food was super good , I cannot wait to come back when we visit Grants Pass again, highly recommended read more

We've been driving by this place since it opened a couple years ago, and finally got around to trying them for lunch. The place is so colorful both inside and out, looked clean and new, and had gorgeous fresh plants everywhere which made it look so inviting. We walked in around 1:30pm and got seated right away, and chips, salsa and waters came out very quickly. The place had a few tables of people, but no where near full. We ordered and figured food would come out super quick, but we were wrong. The food came out a solid 1 hour after ordering! We were starving by then, but we still did not bother anyone, as no one really came out to check on us. When we finally saw the food coming out, I saw my steak fajitas sizzling which made me happy I was getting them hot, but when the waitress set the thing on the table I was very disappointed to see how little meat was there...just a few strings of bone dry steak, I would guess no more than 1 to 2 ounces (and I am being liberal to even say that) ! Lots of green peppers and onions, but sad amount of meat. It was so dry and overcooked it bordered on jerky. Everything was fine and good taste wise, but I am sorry, for $15 the lack of meat made me feel robbed. I was not happy. I guess I could have returned it, but I did not have another hour to wait for something else. My daughter also said her burrito had very little meat. I guess cheapness is their thing. Would I come back? Not in a very long time. I do believe they will drive customers away if this is the norm for timeliness and quantity of meat. read more

I ordered the deluxe burrito with carne asada. Veggies, beans, rice were tasty and fresh. The carne asada sadly was tough and gristley. Veggie burrito good choice. Not overcooked fresh ingredients. Chicken taco salad another good choice. Enough lettuce and greens to actually be a salad. Flavorful beans at bottom and tastefully grilled chicken. She'll was even actually ok. Wait staff and cook all came by several times to ensure the meal was well received. Friendly. I don't know where all these 5 stars are coming from. We were here on a Wednesday evening 6/30/21 around 5:00.it was not at all crowded with only one server. It took at least 25 minutes to get our Margaritas and we ordered our food at the same time we ordered drinks. We waited for our Burritos. Our drinks were almost gone and the ice had melted, still no food. Finally my wife got up to complain and was told they are fixing our burritos now. Now almost an hour has passed. And finally our food came. I must admit the food was good but that is as far as I will go. There is no AC in the building and the fans are blowing heat from the light fixtures underneath them. Very uncomfortable experience. Extremely hot in the building as well as slow service. We were in a hurry to pay and leave. When we arrived home I realized I was overcharged for our burritos. We ordered two regular burritos for 9.99 each. When I looked at our bill we were charged for 2 Deluxe Burritos at $12.99 each. Shame on you people!! My recommendation is Stay away. We came here a few years ago and the food was great, but it has new owners. I had a carne isada Which was plain and dry, no flavor and the tortilla was cool and rubbery. Wife had two street tacos, very small, not the usual size you would get off the streets. again with little flavor and meat was over cooked. Tortilla chips are hard and salsa taste like tomato paste. The Resturant is clean, masks and social distancing is in place. Wish it was better especially when there are many mexican restaurants in the area to choose from. read more

I had the al pastor deluxe burrito and my wife had the chicken diabla, both were perfect!!! I tried this for the first time after waiting since opening with new management. Sadly, I was very disappointed in the taste and quality of the food. My Chile relleno tasted like it had been cooked in oil used for cooking fish. A very odd eggy, fishy, cheesy combo. No only was the oil tainted, but the ranchero sauce was oddly sweet and not spicy/savory. All in all, my meal (while a bit on the pricey side) was not worth the value or time I spent waiting and dining.
