We went for the first time. Prices are ok. Restaurant is clean and the waitress was friendly. I order a beef and chicken empanada (both were beef) they didn't have much taste and had a mushy texture. I asked about the daily soup (beef soup) and sizes. We weren't told that the medium soup came with rice so we weren't able to order actual plate. Soup was tasteless (had to add salt) the tiny piece of plantain that had the peel so I had to take it out. Overall I didn't like it. My son had the chicken finger and fries. That was actually good. Chicken was fresh , homemade breading. The cortadito and the flan was also good.

This food is so good. And there's so much of it. Everything is handmade everything is made right there. The staff is really friendly it's a family-run business so everybody's related. It helps if you speak Spanish but there's people there who speak English. Is indoor seating news take out as well. There's one small table in front if you want to sit outside. But everything is so good. I got the beef fajitas and they have handmade cornmeal tortillas. It was amazing. I'm eating the second part for lunch.

I was craving pupusas and La Joya hit the spot! I also ordered scrambled eggs and the waitress recommended I add the onions, green peppers and tomatoes. Best eggs ever! They serve complimentary chips and salsa to each table. Apparently Mondays are $1 pupusas! Needless to say I'll be back.

This restaurant is a hidden jewel on Davie Road Extension. From the outside it might not look like much but it's actually a cute, clean, and tidy little restaurant that serves incredible food at great prices. I've only been here for lunch and there's almost never anybody here except to pick up phone-in orders for takeaway. It's nice in here, so it deserves a dinnertime sit-down crowd. The lunch specials are amazing: huge portions prepared perfectly for $6 to $7 including two sides. They have a variety of chicken, fish, beef, and pork dishes on special for lunch as well as the full regular menu. I had lomo saltado today, and it was the best lomo saltado I've had. It's an El Salvadorean restaurant but they serve Mexican food as well as dishes common to Latin America. Their corn tortillas, by the way, are fabulous. They're thicker than the corn tortillas you know from street tacos. Like little quilts you can fold your meat or rice and beans in that give each bite a nice chewy texture.

This place is fantastic! You feel right at home as soon as you enter. Super welcoming staff and friendly owners. The food is top notch and a must try. We had the parrillada, lechon asado and chicken francese. Every single plate was delicious! Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area and they don't skimp on quality. 10/10! If you're looking for a new local spot definitely hit this place up. I'll be coming back again and again!

The portions are healthy and a $30 entree is easily enough for two with a toddler. I would only venture the whole thing if I was working construction again or just got done with a tough workout. The skillet meal we ordered (bandeja paisa), with crispy pork belly, picanha, Morcilla, Columbian sausage, egg, arepa (grilled corn cake), maduros, red beans and rice was all perfectly prepared. My daughter snatched the avocado so I never got to try it, but she seemed to enjoy it so it must have been good. All meats were cooked to exactly where they should be. My only minor complaint is that i would have preferred a runnier egg.

The restaurant was split into two sides with a trinket store offering money transfer services. The Colombian espresso single shot was an absurd $4.00 but the food here is supposed to be excellent so I ordered a beef empanada. It was small but flavorful with a semi-crispy shell at only $2.50 it was a steal. The gender assigned bathroom outer door had a cartoon guy wearing a sombrero hat indicating the men's room. Clean with Terracotta Mexican style flooring providing an earthy vibe with an out of order urinal.

We came with our own bottle of wine which they were very nice to waive the corking fee. We ordered the skirt steak, ceviche and Cobb salad. The food was delicious. Small portions but very good. No complaints on the food at all. Basic but still good. Our service was not good at all. The waitress was very rude unfortunately. However we still enjoyed our time and happy we came out.

You have to go in the parking lot and get a ticket, but the restaurant will validate it. It has its own entrance from the parking lot. Right when you walk in, it feels very nice and upscale. My husband and I came for a happy hour experience, and tried just about everything. All of it was incredible! The guac was served with a mixture of plantain chips and tortilla chips, which I loved. The corn empanadas were surprisingly a little spicy, but delicious. The mac and cheese came in a skillet with tajin breadcrumbs, and was super creamy and delicious. The elote was probably my favorite. You can't beat truffle! I also especially loved the yuca that came with the beef. The drinks were super strong. After about a drink and a half (the hibiscus margarita and the Mexican mojito), I found myself needing to probably cut myself off. We sat at the bar, and the server who helped us was really nice. If you're looking for a nicer and more upscale happy hour experience, this is it. It's a great night out with amazing food. Highly highly highly recommended!

The soups are delicious (except the seafood soup - shellfish must be from frozen). The sandwiches are the best. We tried the palta with camarones app and that was great. The prices are a little high a nd the credit card extra charge is annoying bc it's not clear anywhere and they should post prices with cc and cash. But for a few times a year it's good. As a chile and myself, I, more than anyone, crave these delicious flavors from my home country. As far as the food is concerned, every dish was spectacular. What I failed to take a snapshot of were the empanadas de Mariscos, or the seafood empanadas. They had a very nice, rich flavor and not dry at all. It gave that mouthwatering taste that went very well with the pebre that also was fantastic. I love a good pebre or Chilean salsa. The service was was alright and everyone seemed nice, just lacked a bit of energy and desire to serve. The restaurant played a lot of Shakira, which was nice but I would love to hear authentic Chilean artists and there are plenty! Next time I am in the area at night I would love to stop on by as it appears to have a DJ club feel to it in the evening. Viva Chile!
