Skeptical because of how crowded it always is. Thought it would be overrated but damn that matcha is fire. Matcha Vienna 5/5 delicious! Perfect sweetness, creamy, and matcha tasted high quality. To improve: the cashier was wayyyyy too talkative. I think he spent about 8 minutes talking to the person in front of us, while the line was way out past the entrance ~15 parties in line. It was sweet of him to dedicate so much effort to each party, but wasn't optimal given the situation. Beautiful setting. This is something I've genuinely always wanted to do.. so here we go! First up: La La Land in Beverly Hills. And no, I'm not late I just don't do the viral hype line situation. 45 minute wait? Not for me. Now, full transparency, I'm caffeine sensitive at the moment, which, as someone who was drinking matcha well before it was a personality trait, is a little tragic. So that also means no espresso drinks for me. I went with the iced salted brown butter oat milk latte and it was delicious. My only note is that the portion felt a little small for the price ... like, if I'm skipping the coffee, maybe meet me halfway on that? Just a thought. The real star though was the crème brûlée overnight oats with chia seeds. I will be back for that alone. Might just start making them at home too, honestly. Also got the turkey and cheese croissant! It was super flaky, super buttery. I ate half there and turned the other half into a whole sandwich once I got home. Love that for me. The space itself is clean. Soft contemporary, cream-colored pool table, very inviting. The kind of place you can actually pull your laptop out without feeling on top of someone. The line can get long but it moves fast; its just that a lot of ppl tend to go into a giant group and order a drink each so thats why its so slow.... but otherwise, once you step in, there's a really chic seating area with all the Lalaland merch. Drink flavors are very unique; I got the Father Day Carrot Cake matcha latte and my friend got the Yellow Rose matcha which has the rose syrup and saffron. World's strongest matcha: double dose matcha (6g) which gives it more of earthy taste but the foam top provides the perfect blend of sweetness that compliments very well. Very good. My favorite so far. 2. Supreme matcha latte: the rarest matcha with only 100 ibs harvested per year. Only makes about 20 cups per day so try to go early. More on the earthy side but good. 3. I had such a nice experience at La La Land Cafe. The service was super friendly, the cashier took the time to explain their most popular drinks, which I really appreciated. I went with the matcha and it was delicious, not too sweet with a really good, balanced flavor. I loved both the outdoor seating and the indoor space. The all white, modern decor is very minimal and chic, and even though there aren't windows inside, it still feels bright. They also sell cute merch. Love this location!! I'd heard the line can get crazy, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a short line around noon on a Sunday. Even better - the line moved quickly and I waited for less than 5 minutes for my drinks. SCORE!! The staff are so sweet and helpful, it's very apparent that they enjoy what they do and where they work. The pastries are delish. I had a slice of banana bread with chocolate chips, but there's also croissants and muffins. Prices on food options are relatively reasonable for the quality and location. I tried a couple of their matcha drinks, which are quite sweet but rather small - especially for the price. Not ashamed to admit that I'd buy them again and again, however... The interior is so aesthetically pleasing, clean, and inviting. There's a pool table to pass time. The restroom is tidy and well-kept. I got their $20 matcha, apparently they sell a limited amount per day but i was able to get the last one at 5pm on a Saturday so im guessing people dont like it that much? 4.25 star review. I had previously tried Lalaland Santa Monica and it was pretty trash so when I saw that they had a location in Beverly Hills, I was a bit hesitant but gave it a shot. The location is big, lovely design and layout. Lots of seating and it would be a cool spot to hang out with friends with their pool table at the back. But we're here for the coffee and it exceeded my expectations. Maybe it was a bad day at the other location, but the baristas here worker well with each other and they took care of each customer and each drink. And the drinks were really good. I especially enjoyed the cortado. I can't remember the name of the second drink, it was a salted butter something and though I appreciated the effort in being creative, it just didn't quite hit. La La Land Reserve is definitely an experience. The lines might look long, but they honestly move pretty quickly. Be prepared for everyone including yourself to be taking photos of every corner because this place is so aesthetically pleasing. I absolutely love the space. I ordered the saffron rose cream top matcha latte and it was delicious, truly unlike anything I've had at another café. So unique and worth trying. The only cons compared to the classic La La Land cafés are that the regular locations have better quality cups and much better portions. Lesson learned, next time I'll be ordering two drinks just for myself. I also tried the pain suisse, which was oddly very flat, but still delicious. This is probably the most bougie and luxurious matcha shop I've ever been to. Walking-in, I liked seeing the green marble and off-white décor which felt like a fancy little cave setting. The coffee bar was in the center where you can see the baristas making the drinks. I also liked their clean-cut uniforms. The had a good amount of seating and tables and even some outlets. They even had a pool table! For drinks, my friend and I ordered the Yellow Rose Matcha Cream Top and it was pretty good. The cream top was made with saffron and rose water which was light and creamy. The matcha tasted like the regular matcha from their regular la la land locations. It was still pretty good though and good if you like creamy and slightly sweet matcha drinks. I would still opt for my favorites in Ktown and OC though. Overall, great experience here! I did think they were trying too hard with their menu descriptions though to the point where it was a bit comical. When I heard that La La Land opened an elevated, reserve location, I knew I had to check it out! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and while it was quite busy, the line moved quickly. The staff provided menus as we were waiting so we could make our decisions and were really helpful in answering our questions and providing recommendations as well as a rundown of their most popular drinks. The ambiance was definitely the standout - the cafe is beautifully designed with a white, elegant, and warm interior. As a matcha lover, the row of chasens and matcha bowls displayed along the wall was such a beautiful addition to the decor! There is some seating with small tables as well as a beautiful pool table in the back. We tried the Okinawa matcha latte (matcha with brown sugar) and the yellow rose matcha latte (with the tastiest saffron and rosewater cream top) - both were delicious! Sadly the drinks are on the smaller size. I'm also so curious about their supreme matcha latte (only 20 available per day) - but it also comes with a hefty price tag at $20 lol. I was unimpressed by this location. It was my first time to a La La Land and didnt realize it was a "reserve" location when I was there. The staff was kind the decore was minimalist/moder, and very clear with nice music playing. My problem was with the drinks they were EXTREMELY underwhelming. I ordered "the cois" it didnt really have any flavor, I couldn't taste the brown sugar or salt, it just tasted like oatmilk to be honest. My husband got the "sparkling yuzu" and even that wasnt good, it tasted like sparkling water w the slightest hint of citrus. We didnt finish our drinks and had to go elsewhere to get a drink. They took time to make the drinks look pretty but need to focus on the taste. read more

They've got the service station at the front, with seating and merchandise in the back. The menu is unfortunately only posted at the cash register, and since this menu is unique to their other stores, causing a bit of a hold up in line as customers look over their options. I ordered a "mini" matcha Einspeinner, which came with vanilla and sea salt. Not too sweet, maybe a bit too milky for "matcha connoisseurs," but I really enjoyed it and wished I had gotten the full size. Overall a fun experience for fans of this franchise read more

I ordered a yellow rose matcha. It was delicious! The cream top is infused with rose and it's perfectly sweet and smooth. It's a good alternative to my usually strawberry matcha latte. They run out of their $20 gold flakes matcha because they only serve 20 a day and I got there around 11:40am and got out at 12:40 pm on a Saturday. The line is a bit crazy but we all love trying new things in LA especially matcha and La La Land. I appreciate that the drinks were 50% off. I got a salted brown butter latte, yellow rose matcha, and turkey and cheese croissant all for only $12.55. What a steal!! That croissant was deliciously flakey. I asked for mine warm. My husband really wanted an almond croissant but they ran out of those. The demand is a wild! Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend going to try! I do want to try their gold flakes matcha because they make those super fresh and if they don't sell 20 for the day, they will throw out the special matcha so they're not doing it for marketing but to preserve the freshness of the good matcha. I've been to La La Land a few times before and typically enjoy it. So when I heard there was a new location with unique items, I had to give it a try! I went during the soft opening when all of the items were 50% off. Staff were eager to share the intent of the new location, which is to provide yummy drinks with even higher-quality ingredients. The aesthetic of the new café is very modern minimalist. I got the yellow Rose Matcha latte which was so delicious. A great combination of saffron, rose, and matcha. I also got a turkey cheese croissant, but it needed to be heated up more, and I ultimately took it home to reheat (after that, it was truly delicious). I've loved La la land since the first time I tried the La la latte at the first Southern California location in Santa Monica. I would drive 20 mins for my daily fix, but now I have this location that's more central and closer. They carry their classics but they also have some special drinks exclusive for this location. They have some super unique drinks on tap. My favorite reserve special drink is the "cois," named after the founder Francois. I also had the opportunity to meet this young man who created coffee with a purpose. I love that they hire former foster youth. Besides the amazing drinks and pastries, the vibe is different as it's a reserve location. Instead of yellow tones everything is a beautiful creamy white tone. Absolutely stunning. But matcha, in its purest form, was never meant to drown in milk like some green afterthought. So when I see on the menu: "HIGHEST LEVEL MATCHA LATTE ON EARTH," I feel a disturbance in the force. Fine. Let's dance. But here's the rub, latte is the only option. No straight matcha. No quiet bowl of green reverence. Just foam and dairy, Mugatu's bane. I ask for one as intended, the latte, and one simply as matcha. This request lands like I've asked for a vinyl record at a Tesla dealership. Confusion. Debate. A manager appears.
