This restaurant is located in the heart of Beverly Hills. It is located inside of a very nice hotel (The Maybourne Beverly Hills). I must say the it's a very nice area to be in. The resto is nicely decorated & tidy. You screams Beverly Hills. The host was amazing. There is no dress code, they have both inside seating or the garden. Foods: i had a Caesar salad that was mediocre with 2 small dishes with mystery seafoods that were immediately sent back. The shrimp however was succulent, flavorful & to die for. Our food despite being appetizers took approximately an hour to come out mind you the place wasn't even busy. We waited like we were watching paint drying on the wall. Our server only showed up the time that he took our orders then return with the check. Hence why I didn't give it 5 star. I would certainly recommend it if you are not that hungry. read more

The Maybourne may be a very nice hotel, but wow--they make it incredibly difficult to book their tea service. My friend chose to celebrate her birthday here with a tea party for 10 women, and it took nearly two weeks just to secure the reservation. Communication was slow and unresponsive. Her fiancé even tried to pre-order a bottle of champagne for the birthday girl, but they wouldn't accept payment over the phone, which made the process even more complicated. To make things worse, they mixed up the reservation time. They told us it was at 3:00 PM, but our confirmation texts clearly stated 2:00 PM. When we arrived at 2:00, the front-of-house staff was rude and told the waiter--right in front of us--that we had arrived too early, even after we showed proof of the confirmed time. That interaction really set the tone. We spend a lot of time in Beverly Hills and are used to high-end service, but this experience felt unnecessarily difficult and unwelcoming. We were debating between here and The Peninsula and chose this spot thinking it would feel more modern, but the entire reservation process and day-of experience were disappointing. In all honesty, the space itself wasn't as impressive as we expected either. The Terrace is absolutely fantastic in every way! The seating is mostly outside on the edge of the beautiful Beverly Canon Gardens. The people watching doesn't get any better. There's also indoor seating for chilly evenings, although heat lamps outside are plentiful. Service is top notch as well. Everything our party of 3 tried was foodie 5 star quality. For appetizers we shared the beet salad which was beautifully presented and very colorful. Our second appetizer was the grilled prawns, which came with 6 large pieces, which were cooked in a savory sauce. For entrees we shared the scallops, salmon and the black cod. I would order any of the 3 again. We shared 1 order of the cheesecake and it was so creamy and flavorful without being too filling. Normally I would say it is a special occasion restaurant but it's so good that I want to go every week. Their Golden Hour is a very good deal if you're able to dine early. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner for a graduation celebration last night. Our waitstaff was extremely excellent, not stuffy or boring! We kept them busy ordering many items and making it a family style meal. I had the cod with chamomile foam and it was very beautifully presented and very rich/filling! 4 star when you keep in mind this is hotel food. (3 star if you're treating this as a restaurant, still better than the Beverly Hotel's Cabana Cafe any day, no comparisons needed.) It's easy to have conversations here not being interrupted, there is enough space between tables, very comfortable seating. If you're looking to have a great cup of coffee go to Maru at the corner for some proper coffee. This place's coffee is decent but nothing shocking, just a standard hotel coffee. I had the matcha it's 6.5/10- not bad, not good. Okay to order if you want something to sip on there. We ordered a bunch of different food to share, My fav is the Egg Benedict and the avocado toast, the juice shots are also interesting. I think their juice is better than their coffee. Cinnamon roll is huge, pretty sweet. The bread is also quite sweet. This place is a bit overpriced but I think it's okay if you're here for the ambience for a lunch date/ business meeting, rather than coming *just for the food* read more

I had a genuinely fantastic time at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly attentive and really went above and beyond to make our visit special. They rearranged tables for us, checked in regularly, and made sure we were completely taken care of. Breakfast was a highlight. The pastries were absolutely delicious and the whole experience was just that much better thanks to the wonderful weather that day. Even when we had a minor issue with an overcooked burger, they handled it right away, bringing us a new one along with extra fries. Met a friend here for coffee. Heck of an upgrade from a Starbucks! First off, don't do what I did and park on the street. Free 2 hour underground parking lot available. I was just here for a coffee so my review is only for this--I got the seasonal Harvest Moon flavor. It was $11, which is a pricey drink, but every now and then you want to treat yo' self! It was tasty and came with a lovely little lemon cookie on the side. We had table service that was so attentive especially considering we were just ordering coffees and a muffin. I've always enjoyed coming to The Maybourne Cafe, and my family and I always spend time here. I came in today during the heat wave and asked for indoor seating. I was told there was no availability inside and that I would need to sit outside in the shade, as she frantically went through the iPad, as if it's a fully booked and busy restaurant, but whatever, I was willing to wait because I was hungry. As the girl went to somehow try and source a table for me in an empty restaurant, some other guy came to the host desk and moments later, two very well dressed ladies, not guests of the hotel, no reservations, walked in after me were seated immediately -- inside. I'm assuming because I was in athleisure/gym clothes I don't get the same service. Being told one thing and then watching the opposite happen right in front of you doesn't feel great. I ended up letting them know I no longer wanted the table and left. I wish I had made a point right then and there, but I didn't want to be a Karen. I just felt very disgusted by the service I received. I don't usually leave negative reviews but the blatant "pretty woman" movie scene feeling happening and lack of service by a place I frequent blew my mind today. Located in the Beverly Canon Gardens, the Maybourne Cafe is one of several outdoor eateries. One star for a delicious smoked trout salad. One star for being dog friendly. One star for staff being very polite and efficient I have to knock off a star for the ridiculously high prices. I'm happy to pay a higher price point when the food and ambiance deserve it. But I just didn't see that an outdoor cafe with a trout salad, even in Beverly Hills, was worth $30.00. I also have to knock off a star for the challenging nature of the parking. It may be complimentary, but the parking lot is challenging, dark, and hot. I felt very bad for the workers down there. Overall, I'm glad I tried Maybourne, and the salad was very tasty, but I can't see returning. When I'm at Beverly Canon Gardens, I'll eat at the casual cafe across the courtyard, with burgers, salads, sandwiches, and crepes for $13.95. read more

This cafe is trying to be a fine dining restaurant. The interior was clean and The food was average for such an exorbitant price! We have dined at many local Beverly Hills restaurants, but this place is by far the worst. The portions are small and the service was not great! For $275, we could have a better meal at Spago! Keep in mind, this was a lunch and we didn't have any alcoholic beverages. What also was irritating that they included a 20% Service Charge on the bill, even though the service was erratic. I met a client at the Maybourne Hotel and we had lunch on the terrace overlooking the large courtyard decorated for Christmas. The cafe has a truly pretty design. The place is lovely and there is a touch of Greece in the design in my opinion. It is so pretty and clean. We strolled into the Mayborne cafe and it was really enchanting. The service was so great. The server really took the time to chat with us. The espresso cup was the cutest I have seen in a while and they serve it with one lovely cookie that was delicious. This cafe is an experience!. I can't wait to go back and taste the food. Delicious food and wonderful ambiance. Perfect for a quiet afternoon business meeting. Service was fast and friendly, the iced tea was refreshing and our server brought over a side of simple syrup for me. We ordered the lobster BLT and the sea bass tacos to split. The sandwich came with a side of homemade potato chips, which were crispy and wonderful. I liked that the BLT had avocado on it. I added sea salt to the sandwich for extra flavor. The sea bass was breaded and the green sauce on the side was delectable. We asked for extra lime to squeeze onto the tacos and it arrived swiftly. The food is great, we ordered coffee such as French press and latte which took a little bit of time to come. The ambience and setting is absolutely stunning and beautiful, on weekends. There is a light band that plays during brunch hours starting 11:30 AM. For parking, the valet is in the front entrance of the hotel. We visited about a week ago. The food was atrocious. The staff bordered on incompetent. We mentioned a couple issues to the management and he rolled his eyes when we did. Then he sits there nodding at us and obviously making disparaging remarks to some big fat guy I'm guessing is security who is yucking it up with him.. We won't be back and as someone who has been an executive chef for over 30 years, I've made a fair number of connections. Was curious what Claridge's scones and tea were like so went to the Maybourne Cafe this morning and had scones and tea. Everyone there was very nice and very helpful, Thought the scones were rather dry and crunchy. There was a lot of clotted cream so that helped, There was also some Sqirl Jam. The Sqirl Jam was very thin and watery, more like juice than like jam. Didn't use any of the Sqirl Jam. read more

This place is a kind of London-snooty hangout for bleached blond and botoxed BH babes, past-their prime but still rocking those black jumpsuits and Balenciaga bags. The juice was delicious and fresh, though. Expensive as only Beverly Hills can be. Went there for juice and it set me back $16. But, hey! It's Beverly Hills juice, probably hand squeezed by some down-on-their-luck former "Real Housewives" or something. (You know those BH divorces don't come cheap!) I could totally see Andy Cohen sitting on a comfy Maybourne couch, listening to vapid comments from a Barbie doll guest. Still, the Maybourne brings a little bit of English civility to a city in short supply of anything remotely civil. Great place to put your feet up and watch the fascinating and sometimes scary parade of humans that is LA. My server Yasmin was interesting and slightly ironic, as only a true LA born and bred person can be. My advice, have coffee and tea here, skip a meal (if you're like me, you can go without food for a while and be OK). Instead of giving the hotel a month's rent for a steak or omelet or something, give that money to YOUR SERVER. Tip more than the total of your check if you can. The Maybourne Cafe is part of The Maybourne Hotel, it's across from The Terrace restaurant and it also faces Beverly Canon Garden. When you just want to enjoy a drink: coffee, tea, wine or a cocktail it's one the best spots to sit and enjoy the garden setting view outdoors in the heart of Beverly Hills. The menu offers very similar items as The Terrace restaurant but it's condensed. Despite it being outdoors, proof of vaccination is required to enter. The staff are all professional and accommodating. Our waiter Brandon was excellent. Kids and pets friendly. Currently, the garden lawn is fenced and off limits as it is recovering from the holiday visitors. Seating at the cafe is limited, so be sure to make a reservation. We go to the Maybourne Hotel often and have tried the Terrace but only recently tried the Maybourne Cafe and we definitely will add to our rotation. The food, service and ambiance have all been great for the 3 times that we've been there thus far. It's a nice casual setup indoors with a coffee bar and large open fridge section with sandwiches drinks and desserts. We have tried the Turkey Club, breakfast burrito, tomato soup (a bit spicy), fish tacos, Caesar Salad and the triple chocolate mouse. All pretty solid although the tomato soup is a bit spicier then we'd like but it comes with a delicious mini grilled cheese sandwich to take off some of the bite if you dip it. They also have a nice outdoor patio area that we'll take advantage of once the weather gets warmer. read more
