Finally got to check out Lalaland at The Grove. This spot is known for long lines, so I went on a Friday around 6pm. From ordering to getting my drink took about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad. I ordered a large Matcha Squared Latte with less sweetness and oat milk (extra charge). I noticed they still added a couple pumps of syrup, but overall the drink wasn't too sweet and had a nice creamy top. The matcha itself was decent, but not as smooth as some of the top tier spots. I'm guessing it's because they prep things ahead instead of whisking each drink fresh. Overall it was good, but I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes for it. If anything, I'd just order online next time to skip the line. read more

When picking up my order, it took even longer because the drink I was given was incorrect. It took at least 10 minutes to get someone's attention just to fix it. I have a few things to say about this place.. I went today after the Spain game and was shocked at how busy it was. My daughter let me know it's all over instagram so we waited 20 min in line and had to go outside for our drinks. I've been to La La Land Kind Cafe a few times but never found their items overly exciting to report back on in a review. However, that all changed this month when I not only enjoyed but ventured here specifically. They had the most adorable Kid's Meal that came with a Disney tote that says "Be Kind" and a food based Disney Munchling blind box squishable.Be still my heart, you've captured every sense of my essence throwing in some delicious tea and avocado toast. I went for a purpose, achieved such purpose and was so pleased with the results that now this little shop is on my good side. However if you skim through reviews, tastes could be a bit better in the food department as a general consensus. I concur. However, it's still good food albeit could use a bit more seasoning - I love avocado toast with sliced eggs, officially called "Mini Eggy Avo Toast". The whole kids' meal was a really cute idea and I just loved my whole meal, including my new Jack Skellington squishy. I love that you can order through the app and then pick up. LLLKC usually has a super long line so it's really helpful and neat you can bypass all of that. The aesthetics of bright, friendly yellows is always cute whenever I'm dipping by at The Grove or Farmers Market. I also love that they have a few 2 top tables outside so I can comfortably sit solo having my drink and/or eats. They're in a great location at the Grove! I had no idea it would be Disney themed. It's bright inside and they had the window walls open to allow for the natural weather and lighting. All my friends know, I have a matcha addiction. So after brunch, my friend suggested we try the hyped La La Land for matcha. It's so aesthetic and the drinks are good! So the shop is so cute! Like I'm obsessed with the butter yellow merch and drinks. It's so minimalistic, LA vibey, aesthetic. This is the hot spot right now, so it's super busy! Long lines and kind of a long wait time. The service wasn't all that, it felt pretty rushed and confusing at times. When I ordered, the barista was a bit unsure and confused so what I initially wanted I couldn't have. Eventually, all was well and we popped into another shop and came back to our drinks being ready. To drink I had the Perfect Matcha with Soy Milk. It wasn't the perfect matcha but a decent one. The matcha was good quality but definitely on the milky and sweeter end. I sipped my friend's and it was so good! They have non-dairy milks and cold foams which is nice. I tried this place once before and thought it was ok, but after learning they partnered with Keith Lee to give back to the community impacted by the Texas floods. That generosity caused me to give them another shot. The Keith Lee latte was very good. I appreciated that no expense was spared in terms of the 8 grams of matcha and the big strawberry. I also like this cup it comes in. I feel like I could used it again before recycling. Save the planet. When I go again, I won't sub whatever milk it comes with for a non dairy because this drink is concocted in the way that it is for the balance intended and my coconut milk substitution deflated it. I look forward to a holiday collab as well in a hot matcha variety with caramel, toffee or something. I'm forgoing SB coffee because of their politics, so I will appreciate other options. This is our second location for La La Land Kind Cafe that we have visited and we wouldn't favor this location ever again. For it being inside of the grove, there are A LOT of people here, grabbing their coffees! After noting the crowd, I decided to place an online order in advance to pick up my coffee. We ordered a La La Land Latte, iced. When arriving, there were two massive lines, one inside and one at the pickup window. I waited in line and it was more of like a mosh pit of people waiting for their order. I feel that this process could be fine tuned because there was so much confusion as to where to pick up the orders for the people placing orders online vs in store. I waited in line for about 15-20 minutes past the pick-up time for my coffee. I will say the only thing giving it two stars at this location is the taste of the coffee. We didn't originally plan to stop at La La Land during our visit to The Grove, but after noticing the line had shrunk from earlier, we decided to hop in. When we first arrived, there was a long line outside and we weren't sure why--until we later learned that social media foodie Keith Lee had a special drink available, with all proceeds going to flood relief efforts in Kerr County, TX. Very cool. After walking a few laps around The Grove and checking out some shops, we circled back and found that the line had died down. We jumped in and placed our order without much of a wait. The matcha was delicious--balanced, layered, and really refreshing. At $7.65, it was a solid deal for a specialty drink with a cause behind it. The space inside is aesthetic and cozy, with lots of thoughtful design. We grabbed seats near the big marble table under the chandelier, right in front of the white bookshelf and fireplace. The seats were comfy and relaxing, which made waiting for our drink actually enjoyable. Aside from the Keith Lee drink, the café also offers a variety of other drinks, pastries, and branded merch, all with that cheerful, uplifting vibe La La Land is known for. He ordered a large size of the vanilla latte and I ordered the lavender vanilla latte. The got his order right, beside the fact that they forgot the vanilla syrup or that it wasn't strong at all. It was incredibly bitter. They made me a matcha lavender when I asked for espresso. I let them know and they remade it, and handed me another matcha lavender.
