Today was a very bad experience. The cashier was great but they messed our orders up really bad, even tho the order was perfect on the ticket. I order a strawberry cloud espresso and they made it with matcha. Then when I told the guy what I order it with espresso and was trying to convince me to just get the matcha one they made, even after I told him I hate matcha. He was pushy, I had to reintegrate that is not what I order and is not what is on the ticket. Then it took forever to get the drink and they also got my friend's drink wrong. Hot instead of iced, but he didn't say anything cause he didn't want to wait another eternity for it. I don't understand how they messed up this horrible. Specially in a 100 degree weather. Passing on this place, trendy but not worthy
This is the place for pictures and very sweet drinks! The coffee itself is great but I wish more coffee shops offered sugar free alternatives. It's funny because there's so many milk alternatives but no other dietary restrictions. Service was à la good as can be considering it was extremely crowded and loud. Kids had a blast and that's all that matters.
I got the Matcha Tiramisu Latte from here and it was pretty good! What I liked the most was the cream top which was soft and sweet. The matcha itself was also pretty good. Good matcha volume and the blend used wasn't dry. I also enjoyed the little lady finger on top which was a nice little snack. Overall, solid matcha. I came here on my birthday since you can get a free drink! You need to download the app and set your birthdate to redeem. This is only redeemable on your actual birthday and you are given an $8 credit and can only choose from their specialty drinks. The cafe itself is also pretty and clean with nice indoor and outdoor seating. I also enjoyed witnessing the workplace culture. The manager seemed to be lively and enthusiastic and introduced new recruits happily. It felt like a positive and uplifting atmosphere.
La La Land is more than just an Instagram coffee shop. The space is bright, clean, and has a simple vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The merch is actually nice too, especially the mugs and hats. We tried the Matcha Cloud and the Spanish Latte, both topped with a mini croissant. They looked great and tasted even better. The matcha was smooth and not overly sweet, while the Spanish Latte had a rich coffee flavor without being too heavy. Be prepared for a long line, especially during peak hours, but it moved faster than expected. The staff stayed friendly and efficient even with the crowd. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out. I'd happily come back.

I finally gave in to the hype. When we walked by, the line was huge--probably around 3:30 or 4:00 in the afternoon. We actually debated whether waiting that long for coffee was worth it, but since La La Land Kind Cafe is all over social media, we figured we had to experience it at least once. While waiting, I did what I always do... I bought things I definitely didn't need. I ended up leaving with a mug, an Espresso Martini candle, a Banana Cloud latte, and the Paris Saint-Germain drink. By the time I checked out, I'd spent about $83. The café itself is beautiful. It's bright, clean, stylish, and exactly what you'd expect from a place that's become so popular online. The staff was also friendly. Unfortunately, this is where the experience lost a couple of stars. I ordered the Paris Saint-Germain with espresso, but it came with ceremonial matcha instead. My sister ordered the Banana Cloud with coffee, and hers also came with matcha. Out of the three drinks our group ordered, two were made incorrectly. Mistakes happen, but getting two out of three drinks wrong is disappointing, especially after waiting in such a long line. The drinks themselves were good. I honestly have no complaints about the quality. But are they worth waiting 30 minutes in line, plus another 10 minutes for your order? For me... not really. I understand why people want to visit. If you're visiting Los Angeles or spending the day at The Grove, I'd still recommend stopping by once. The café is beautiful, the branding is fun, and it's one of those places that's part of the experience. Grab your coffee, take a few pictures, enjoy the atmosphere, and you'll probably have a good time. But as someone who lives in Los Angeles, I don't see myself waiting in that line again. Once was enough. (3/5) -- Great concept, beautiful café, friendly service, but the long wait and multiple order mistakes kept the experience from living up to the hype.

Finally got around to trying LaLa Land and it did not disappoint. I visited on a Monday around 10am and the line moved pretty quickly. I ordered the banana cloud latte and it was soooo tasty! You could definitely taste the banana flavor. The strawberry cloud latte was also really good and had a hint of strawberry flavor. The heart shaped straws were such a cute touch and went perfectly with the aesthetic of the place. After ordering, we went outside to wait for our drinks and only waited about 10 minutes. When the barista was handing out orders, she would say "love you" to the customers, which I thought was such a cute little detail. Everyone was super friendly and nice. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their matcha drinks!
Drinks are rich in taste and consistency, not watered down. Service was fast and workers are nice despite the crowd and long line. Theres plenty of seats outside and inside but you will be surrounded by hoards of people. This place is not bad and would recommend to try at least once if the line isn't too long.
Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, but I think the drinks are overhyped. The flavors are good, but the texture feels watered down, so they don't have the rich, satisfying consistency I was expecting. Overall, it wasn't bad, but I'd rather make the drive to Stagger or One Escape in K-Town for drinks that have both better flavor and texture.

I ordered a large Matcha Squared Latte with less sweetness and oat milk (extra charge). I noticed they still added a couple pumps of syrup, but overall the drink wasn't too sweet and had a nice creamy top. The matcha itself was decent, but not as smooth as some of the top tier spots. I'm guessing it's because they prep things ahead instead of whisking each drink fresh. Overall it was good, but I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes for it. If anything, I'd just order online next time to skip the line.

It was crowded and the line ran out the door but it moved at a steady pace and after 10min we placed our orders. It took maybe another 10min till we got our drinks. The menu is fairly simple and their most popular drinks are their Matchas! I'm personally not a fan of banana (it's a texture thing), but they claim the Banana Matcha is one of their top sellers! The Strawberry Chai really caught my interest and I enjoyed the flavor combination of the sweet strawberry with the warm chai notes! Only bummer was their French Toast Latte. We were expecting a lot more flavor, but it was just a watery mess. Overall, it was fun to see what all the hype was about, but at $8 starting for a small cup, I'm just not sure it was worth it.
Stopped by the grove and saw that La La land was there, I've seen it all over my TikTok so I was like let me give this a try! The line kinda scared me because it was a bit long buttttt it was moving by fast and the wait wasn't that long either! I got a French toast matcha latte and I'm not sure if they make it with ceremonial but it was good! Matcha wasn't that strong but it was still good. My bf got a banana coffee latte and that was good as well- it tasted like artificial banana haha. Ambience and the inside was clean and cute

Yes I have been wanting to check out La La Land and my husband had the weekend off so we had a mini trip to LA to check out Ripped Bodice and thought it'd be a good idea to go to The Grove while we were here. You can definitely order ahead, which I should have done but, the line went by pretty quickly and gave us some reprieve from the humidity outside. I ordered the the Upside Down Matcha Latte with a regular cloud, should have ordered a strawberry or matcha cloud but didn't know that was an option, I don't remember what my husband got but it was a cooler and added a shot of matcha. We also got a turkey and gruyere croissant and a chocolate chip cookie. Can I just say that croissant was so perfectly flaky and buttery and a good amount of filling. Their chocolate chip cookie is my favorite type, tasted of brown butter and perfectly crisp. The cashier did mention that our drinks would take 20 minutes which we were fine with, we went into Sees Candies and Laneige so that took up some time. There was barista who was calling out names which was helpful, when it came time for our drinks I was so happy. I needed that kick of caffinne and it was a the perfect amount of sweetness. Please come to San Diego because I keep thinking about this drink and that croissant. The cafe itself is pretty minimal but it just felt open cozy? Very aesthetic, and I can definitely see why people come here to take pictures. That being said, the drinks themselves were just okay. Honestly, I don't think they're worth the wait, but it's still worth a one-time visit if you're in the area or visiting LA. I tried the Strawberry Cloud Chai, which was pretty good. The chai itself was delicious, but I couldn't taste much strawberry from the cream. Still, it was a nice drink overall. Staff was super nice and friendly! read more

There are some yummy options here; however, I am deeply disappointed. When you place an order, expect to wait a while for both ordering and picking it up. I expected some wait time due to the long line and the number of people waiting for their orders, but I didn't anticipate waiting 50 minutes. This location at The Grove is pretty noisy, but that's to be expected given the busy setting. The staff seems intense, which I believe is due to being short-staffed. When placing my order, the area was quite dirty and disorganized. If you had a question, the staff would push you along and quickly shift their attention elsewhere instead of helping the customer. When picking up my order, it took even longer because the drink I was given was incorrect. It took at least 10 minutes to get someone's attention just to fix it. The workers avoid making eye contact--possibly because they don't want to be compelled to help and would rather someone else handle the issue. read more

Never again! Also I don't know what's the hype for this place and the long lines! Here is a tip! Don't waste time or money! It's not worth it! Initially when I saw it, i thought it was boba place! So my husband and I saw the line and though let's walk around and come back maybe line will die down! So as we're walking, there was chase stand and we got two gift cards for here each $10. So we're like I guess will go back. We got the French toast latte and chai latte and both were not good! Too pricy for no reason Total for both came to 14.85 and I had $20 worth of gift cards. So I had $5.15. My friend was behind us and I said she can use the gift card. He gave me the empty card and I don't know where that other gift card went She couldn't use it and I didn't get it back. So they just kept the gift card. He was not able to look up the transaction even though I had the receipt nor give me a replacement. It literally happened that time but he did nothing about it This isn't acceptable! Bad drinks and they didn't give my gift card back, plus long lines and bad customer service! I came by and picked up a mocha latte with soy milk. The line was very very long. I saw everyone at the grove holding a drink from here so I had to try it. It was pretty descent but the line was too long to make want to come back to wait again. No inside seating but there are a few tables and chairs outside. read more

Only been here once so I wasn't sure what to make of the products but my first impression: Meh. I think this spot is a little overrated. Someone I know who tried this place also felt the same way. It's the only dedicated matcha or chai latte spot around here so hard to compete. Pretty pricey too for substandard drink. I couldn't detect much of the matcha or perhaps it wasn't great quality compared to other places like Maruwu Seicha. Plus, there was only one register so the lineup took quite long, Snaking out the front door. Took me 20+ minutes and it wasn't really worth it. I'll admit the interior design is cute and they sell other merch, including their own tin of matcha. But overall I wasn't really impressed. read more

Such a cute little cafe! Not only is the ambiance nice, but the cups and merch are so cute. The straws have little hearts on their ends, I love! The line wasn't too bad and the service was really good. Caroline was absolutely wonderful. She was sweet and gave us a lot of suggestions and replacements for our needs. We wanted 2% milk and they only had whole and non fat and instead of simply dismissing our preferences, she suggested that we combine both, which ended up tasting good! Loved it, will definitely be back! read more
Soooo busy. Mobile ordered and it said it will be done at 11:15am. It wasn't done until 11:30am. Got my usual upside down latte. My daughter got the upside down matcha. Hubs got the mango iced tea. Giving them a 3 because if it weren't for the nice person helping me, the rating would be less. FYI - this rating is just for this visit. This review is for my drink, the banana cloud matcha latte. It was a 10/10. Perfectly sweetened and the banana flavor was so good and not artificial. The wait was long but I expected that so I have nothing to say about it. It was about $10 and that's what an LA matcha is priced at so no issues there either lol You order inside and then go outside to wait at a window for them to call your name. Pretty self explanatory. Would go back if there wasn't a wait or just make an online order for pick up! read more

I've seen this place online and wanted to try it since we were in the area. We waited about 30 minutes in line and they do cut off the line at their closing time. I ordered the hot world's best vanilla latte with matcha. I don't think it was the world's best. It was good but I've had better. The matcha flavor was strong but it was pricey for the size you get. It felt small for a $8 drink after taxes. It was a good drink to sip on while we were walking around on a cold night but felt underwhelming. I was expecting more. Inside is really cute with the decor and they sell some of their merch too. They sell an espresso Martini candle and their matcha. read more

Okay! So I went to the Grove and saw this place had a long line so I decided to check it out. Ordered the mango peach cooler and strawberry dragon fruit and I can definitely say the mango was way better than the strawberry. Strawberry tasted water down and I really wanted to like it! But the service was amazing and really fast even with the long lines! I will come back and check out the other drinks and food once I'm in the LA area. read more
I'm absolutely obsessed. La la has the BEST lattes in the world. I tried the one with banana and it was so fricken delicious. I don't know how they do it. It was super busy even at 7pm, but it's worth every minute of waiting. Vibes are spectacular. Such a beautiful lobby and outside patio. Love the string lights at night that create such a cozy atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. read more

I've been to La La Land Kind Cafe a few times but never found their items overly exciting to report back on in a review. However, that all changed this month when I not only enjoyed but ventured here specifically. They had the most adorable Kid's Meal that came with a Disney tote that says "Be Kind" and a food based Disney Munchling blind box squishable.Be still my heart, you've captured every sense of my essence throwing in some delicious tea and avocado toast. I went for a purpose, achieved such purpose and was so pleased with the results that now this little shop is on my good side. However if you skim through reviews, tastes could be a bit better in the food department as a general consensus. I concur. However, it's still good food albeit could use a bit more seasoning - I love avocado toast with sliced eggs, officially called "Mini Eggy Avo Toast". The whole kids' meal was a really cute idea and I just loved my whole meal, including my new Jack Skellington squishy. I love that you can order through the app and then pick up. LLLKC usually has a super long line so it's really helpful and neat you can bypass all of that. The aesthetics of bright, friendly yellows is always cute whenever I'm dipping by at The Grove or Farmers Market. I also love that they have a few 2 top tables outside so I can comfortably sit solo having my drink and/or eats. They're in a great location at the Grove! I was a hater made believer but still hope they up their food flavors a bit. But~ I'm rooting for them now and hope they keep up with the kindness mantras~! We came here due to the massive hype we saw on TikTok. We drove a bit out of the way during our trip to LA but it was worth it. For starters, the aesthetic was nice! I had no idea it would be Disney themed. It's bright inside and they had the window walls open to allow for the natural weather and lighting. The staff was friendly and gave us some solid drink recommendations being our first time. The drinks themselves are a bit more expensive than Starbucks ($7+) but the flavor does not even compare. My matcha was one of the best I have ever had. I was sucking the flavor off the ice cubes once I finished. The matcha was so flavorful and delicious I wish I could've had more. Tried La La Land for the first time after seeing it on Tiktok. Wanted to check if the hype was worth it. The place looks nice and clean inside. It's small with just one couch and two chairs but very aesthetic. I ordered the Banana Cloud Latte and Matcha Cloud Latte but I liked the banana one better. The stars were because the Matcha was pretty good and sweetness was on point. However, I asked for no whipped cream, but it still came with the whip. And it was a pretty small cup for $8. The design was nice inside and even the straws were super cute (heart shaped). We were not greeted upon entering while others were. The staff were busy dancing and socializing instead of greeting the guests. And our cashier just had a hard time focusing on doing her job. She was busy dancing, singing, and chatting instead of taking the order and didn't even say thank you. She even got my name wrong for the drinks. My first time at La La Land was a positive experience! The whole exterior and inside was inviting. It felt very chic. I wanted to try one of their cloud matchas, but the cashier said they were pretty sweet and I don't like overly sweet drinks. So, I opted for the mango Passionfruit iced tea. It was so good!! Especially on a hot day. There was a hint of sweetness, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish they would let you modify the matcha drink or cut back on the sweetness ratio. Most people these days aren't into sugary drinks. Especially for health reasons. But, nonetheless the iced tea was perfect. Saw La La Land all over social media and had to give it a try because I'm easily influenced. The line was long and moved kind of slow if I'm being honest. It was also a sweltering hot day and this location did not have a ton of airflow. Luckily they did have plenty of seating, so when I felt over heated I was able to take a seat and had my husband order for me. I had the la la latte, which I thought was delicious! I've been thinking about it since the day I ordered it. Others in my party did not understand the hype, but I get it! The place is aesthetically pleasing, the coffee is good, the vibes are all about being kind. This is my kind of place and I hope they expand to open some locations on the east coast soon. read more
Lots of hype about this place - very popular, long lines. Cute reusable plastic cups- small or large size. They also have hats for sale and their pastries look huge and decadent- not for nut allergy customers. Three of us got drinks from here to try. All my friends know, I have a matcha addiction. So after brunch, my friend suggested we try the hyped La La Land for matcha. It's so aesthetic and the drinks are good! So the shop is so cute! Like I'm obsessed with the butter yellow merch and drinks. It's so minimalistic, LA vibey, aesthetic. This is the hot spot right now, so it's super busy! Long lines and kind of a long wait time. The service wasn't all that, it felt pretty rushed and confusing at times. When I ordered, the barista was a bit unsure and confused so what I initially wanted I couldn't have. Eventually, all was well and we popped into another shop and came back to our drinks being ready. To drink I had the Perfect Matcha with Soy Milk. It wasn't the perfect matcha but a decent one. The matcha was good quality but definitely on the milky and sweeter end. I sipped my friend's and it was so good! They have non-dairy milks and cold foams which is nice. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other offerings, but not sure if I'd wait in that line again. Overall, La La Land Kind Cafe is a trendy matcha spot in LA. It's good to try once but the long lines can be a lot if you're in a pinch. The cafe is in The Grove and parking is in the shopping parking lot. read more

GOOD I was worried this place was only popping because the place was trendy. They have an extravagant interior and cute cups/straws ( they are hearts) so I expected them to have invested everything on presentation. But the coffee is good too! I ordered the la la latte with an add shot. Very thick and creamy vanilla latte. It was very sweet but thankfully I added a shot so it balanced out. More of a sweet treat. The employees were friendly and provided suggestion. Dayum on the price though. For two medium drinks, one with an add shot we paid 20 + a tip. That's Los Angeles for you. read more

First time at this location. Crazyyyy busy location. It's better to order online and pick up. The lines are long specially during the holidays. We saw the line and left, but then my sister ordered online and we went and picked it up after a few minutes. We all ordered cappuccinos with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Sooo good. Beautiful cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice ambiance. Customer service is ok, not great not bad either. read more
