I've been wanting to try la la land so my friend and I came to this location since it was down the street (a few blocks down) from the beach. It's very spacious inside but felt a bit crowded due to how many people were in there when we went. It was also really hot inside, not sure if it's cause all the windows were open that day, but definitely didn't feel like the ac was on. They also had a good size patio out front with plenty of seating. Merch lined the walls, some pastries and grab and go items by the cash wrap. A small but overwhelming matcha menu (that can also be switched to coffee). My friend grabbed a lavender matcha in a size small and I got the banana cream in a medium, it was smooth and creamy, matcha taste was spot on. Drinks came out quickly, even with the place being busy. Cashier was friendly but the other baristas not so much. **They do have a small lot for parking but best to just find something on the street if you plan on walking around.

This location on Montana and 15th in north Santa Monica had great energy without feeling crowded and overwhelming. I had a hot matcha and a butter croissant. The croissant was flaky and buttery: delish! The matcha was good: I like my matcha as close to the original flavor of the tea as possible without all the additives. I brought my iPad and enjoyed working there by the open window, people watch when I took breaks and felt a part of the larger community. I would be back and look forward to visiting other La La Land locations. The interior is aesthetically white. The outside had plenty of seating to soak in the LA sunshine: a very LA coffee shop vibe: sunny, outdoorsy, pretty, green and picturesque. Service was good. Parking is metered parking for 3 hours. I got lucky and found one across the street.

Very cute store with beautiful outdoor and a little bit of indoor seating. We got their Queen Avocado Toast 5/5: absolutely loved the lemon zest, chilli flakes and creamcheese combo. The sourdough was the right balance of crunchy and chewy and had a good bite to it. Perfect Latte (iced) 3.5/5: the espresso itself was ordinary and their 'secret sauce' didn't stand out as much. I got it salted and that added a great touch to it. La la latte (4/5): friend got this one and really liked it. The cream top gave a nice thick texture to it. A little too sweet for my liking. The place was crowded (Sunday morning) and our orders took FOREVER! The toast took much longer than our drinks but was quite worth the wait. Street parking. They have their own parking but very few spots.

Nice Vibe Cafe at Santa Monica area. Plenty of outdoor seating. Street side, patio umbrella sitting and inside. Nice decor with yellow La La Land theme. Service is quite fast. Fast food style. The drink is not bad at all and reasonable price. They have free small parking lot in rear or meter parking on the street side.

Overall - 10/10 I love this wonderful cafe and the baristas that work here. I love the baristas, Theo, Jada, and Lilah, and they are so friendly and wonderful and have good customer service skills too. They are very good at explaining the menu to everyone. Food & Drinks - I loved the drinks here, especially the double matcha. I like the use of the new matcha powder that makes the matcha flavors stronger compared to the previous one they used. I also liked the various cold foams that they have, especially the matcha and the limited-edition carrot cake one. Experience - I loved the atmosphere of this coffee shop, and I love studying or getting work done here on weekends or weekdays. Most of the baristas are nice and friendly.

I've come here a few times and no matter when I come, it's always busy! I think that's to be expected because lala land is so renowned. The wait time is usually not too bad and between ordering and getting my drink/food it never takes longer than 5-10 minutes. The drinks are super consistent--they're quality, the various foams/specials/flavors are so creative and delicious, and I think it's so cute that their straws are heart shaped . When I've grabbed pastries or small foods (chia pudding) they've been fine but nothing special. The staff are always super friendly, the wifi is fast and free. The only downside is there's sometimes a bit of luck involved with getting a table or seat to hang around, but overall a staple for a reason.

Stopped by La La Land Coffee and it was just okay. I got the strawberry matcha, nothing special. My partner ordered the einspanner matcha latte, and it only comes in one size 13oz which felt a bit overpriced. But to be fair, that's pretty typical for LA matchas. Not bad, just not something I'd go out of my way for.

Lovvveee this La la location. Super cute outside and inside. Line moves pretty quick and baristas are very friendly. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha (4/5) , my boyfriend got a cold brew (5/5). Would recommend! Cute merch as well.

La La Land is honestly my happy place. Whenever I need a little pick-me-up or just want to relax for a while, this is one of the first spots that comes to mind. The atmosphere feels cheerful and welcoming, and it's easy to settle in and forget about whatever stress you walked in with. One of the best parts is the selection of desserts and sweet treats. Everything looks beautifully made and tastes just as good as it looks. Whether you're in the mood for something light and refreshing or rich and indulgent, there's usually something that hits the spot. It's also a great place to grab a drink and sit for a bit, either catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone. Service has always felt friendly and upbeat, which adds to the overall experience. It's the kind of place that feels a little special without being over the top. If you're looking for somewhere that consistently puts you in a good mood, this is definitely worth a visit.

See the layers of the La La Dream Toast -- the pesto on the bottom was overpowered by the other ingredients

Stopped by here on Fri morning and found easy neighborhood parking a few blocks away. Easy order at the counter in a sunny atrium with windows open to the sideway lended to a nice bistro feel. There was limited seating because were there with laptops and staying awhile. My friend ordered the banana cloud espresso latte (and wished they had asked hee what size she wanted because the regular was too small!) We shared the La La Dream Toast -- the pesto on the bottom was overpowered by the other ingredients, and I wish we had just gotten the regular avo toast. We circled back in the afternoon and she got the matcha version of the banana cloud latte -- she liked the non-matcha one better.

Stopped by La La Land to grab a matcha with a friend of mine. I'm not really big on matcha myself, I was mostly just accompanying her, but I will say the location was really nice. It has a very clean, bright, "cute" vibe as the ladies would say. It seems like a great spot if you're looking to start your morning with a matcha or coffee, or even just sit and relax with a drink in the afternoon. One thing I really appreciated was how clean the place was. I love clean venues, especially when they're clean without smelling like someone just finished bleaching the whole place. They also had some really cool merchandise and apparel, which I thought was a nice touch. I honestly think more standalone spots should do that. Service was great as well. Everyone working there was friendly, smiling, and welcoming. All in all, if I ever find myself wanting matcha again, I know where I'll be stopping.

The matcha was absolutely delicious and the coffee was great too. Let me tell you about there cookie . I recommend not heating it up. The staff was so helpful and friendly. When I asked for one of the totes they gave me one.

The valet isn't quite worth it if you're only getting a coffee and pastry - almost feels like an upcharge on a lightly pricy snack / drink. That being said, the almond croissant? Worth every penny! The almond croissant has a generous helping of almonds and features a nice, crispy exterior and light, fluffy interior. My excited nibbles sent them bread shards soaring through the air! I also had an iced latte, and i often don't finish my drink the same hour. Well, I did here! The espresso they added was nutty and dark; the ice made it a little watery but it was tasty nonetheless. To enjoy all the goodness, seating is available indoors (for a more rustic feel) and outdoors (for a more garden feel). Come early, though, not only for parking and fresh bread, but also because there may be a short line!

Parking in Santa Monica is rarely easy, so I considered it a small victory when I actually found free street parking in the neighborhood during my most recent visit. My go-to order is usually the D'Lox Toast or the D'Lox Sandwich, but this time I opted for the D'Lox on a bagel. It was absolutely delicious as always, though seeing the $20.65 price tag for a bagel sandwich is always a bit of a shock each and every time. And, of course, I couldn't resist pairing it with a Wazuka Matcha. Another $8.50 later, I had one of my favorite matcha drinks in hand. All said and done, breakfast for one came to $32.28, which is pretty steep especially for a place where you order at the counter and find your own table. That said, the quality is consistently excellent. The ingredients are fresh, everything tastes great, and I always enjoy my meal and overall experience at Urth Caffe. If the prices were a bit more reasonable (and the crowds a little smaller), this would easily be a five star spot for me. Until then, it's still a place I'll happily return to whenever my friends want to go.

There are plenty of indoor and outdoor tables, and I noticed a lot of people enjoying breakfast, catching up with friends, or working on their laptops. I ordered the American breakfast with eggs, kale salad, sourdough toast with butter and jam, avocado, and tomatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I also had a black coffee and one of their Bluey's coconut waters, which was a nice addition to the meal. One thing I really appreciated was the location. Got the Pedro Burrito & a hot latte…read more It ended up being 24 dollars, and 29 something once I added the tip. To be fair, the ingredients were fresh - but the execution was lacking. For the latte, it was rather milky - and it didn't taste that strong. As I said, I had it hot, and it seemed rather lukewarm - if anything. Extremely foamy, and didn't seem to taste like maple - even though that was the syrup used. The oatmilk was a great substitute, but something seemed to be missing from the drink. Truth be told, I'm a huge coffee snob. Being in LA, you come across so many coffee spots - and I'll admit that I am picky when it comes to my caffeine. The service was great, and quick. I didn't have a problem with that. The water more so a self service situation, which I didn't mind. Lastly, the shining jewel - the burrito. Which, in all truthfulness, was the most disappointing. The reason I'm still giving it three stars is because the flavors within the burrito were bold, and similar to how I remembered it when I last got it. However, one side of the burrito wasn't grilled - leaving the rest of the tortilla ending up rather gummy. Loved the pickled onions. It added such a needed sharp taste to help balance out each bite. Sadly, they didn't offer the little sauce they typically serve this burrito with. Unfortunately, the food was so underwhelming and a downgrade from when I last went that it is now joining my graveyard of spots in LA that simply aren't worth a repeat visit anymore. Heartbreaking conclusion.
