    Spanish Farmer Omelette
    Debra F.

Many may not give the restaurant five stars simply because it's a very simple place. Nothing fancy with the decor but it's very clean and comfortable. This place has been around a long time and you can tell it's a local favorite! We split the Spanish farmers omelette, which was excellent. We also split an order of the pumpkin pancakes, one of the fall specials. Becky, our server was attentive And did everything right!

Great food and great service. Food came out quickly and was well made. There's a good selection to choose from and something for everyone. Lots of tables inside and does not feel too crowded or loud. I'd come back!

Just good home cooking and great service to be had here. Dottie's is a traditional local diner with loads of regulars the staff knows by name. The prices are reasonable, the food is good, and the portions are right. Skip the toast and go for the biscuit if you are having breakfast. Little extras are available, like flavor shots for your coffee, soft serve, and milkshakes.

Always have a good experience here. Service is friendly and food is good. They almost always have the eggs Benedict spot on.

I opted for a lighter breakfast on this trip but we have frequented Dottie's on many occasions. There is something for everyone. Great local diner with amazing customer service. Check it out!

Service is excellent, food is down home comfort food and on a Saturday morning, breakfast is like one big family! This is one of our favorite breakfast places!!! Everything seems to be made to order. You will not leave hungry, and if you do it is your own fault . We keep coming back since we love it so much. If you are in town and need a Greta spot for breakfast or a quick lunch, this is it but don't look for them for dinner. They close by early afternoon everyday.

We also ordered the Meg Threesome appetizer, which was flavorful and perfect for sharing with the table. The Kilkenny sandwich was absolutely amazing. If you've been missing a classic New York corned beef sandwich, this is definitely the place to satisfy that craving. I also loved the Irish Cuban sandwich--it was juicy, packed with flavor, and a fun twist on a classic. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and incredibly cheesy. The chicken pot pie was generously sized and full of flavor. And of course, you can't beat the 18¢ cup of bean soup--such a fun tradition and a great addition to the meal. The water view was particularly nice. I will say it's a little pricy, but I considered what I paid worth the money as this is not your typical dine-in restaurant. You know "yellow dog" refers to a coward, right? You failed inspection horribly last week. I posted…read morea screenshot and I invite everyone to look for it on Florida Today to see the deplorable kitchen practices here the manager denies so many violations last week. We were victims to their awful cooking and mishandling food. I certainly do give good ratings for good restaurants as much as 1 star ratings for dives like yours. Plus your prices are absolutely insane if I have to leave hungry especially. My steak was overcooked and took too long to get it. 6 oz? You should call that a child's menu item with a side of mac and cheese. Just 6 miles south, The Old Fish House in Grant surpasses the food here, at a fraction of the price with the same damn river view as this uppity location. Vics is another gem in Sebastian, I've been here for 45 years, I know the area better than you. This Yellow Dog "Sample size" Cafe charges a fortune to put your life at risk with ignorant kitchen staff, how can you justify staying open? The country should shut you down! The decor manipulated their decision most likely. I'll look into it, I promise. People only go to this riverfront dive because they're pretentious, not because they expect good food and a drink. I really should have read the reviews and taken the poor 1 star as a big red flag to avoid this place. My date ordered an unrecognizable goo, and she wouldn't touch it. I wonder if we suffered these poor kitchen practices noted in your failed inspection? Thawing commercially processed Reduced Oxygen Packaging (ROP) or vacuum-sealed fish in its packaging is highly dangerous. The lack of oxygen combined with improper temperatures creates a perfect environment for Clostridium botulinum to grow and produce deadly toxins. You're charging customers to end up in the ER as a dining experience here. Look for the screenshots. Edit: added more inspection results from 2024 and 2025, you get busted every single time. This isn't a mistake, its a practice.

Certainly we could have overlooked the service, but the food was just OK. But as far as the service, sure one server for the whole place, it's gonna be epic. NOT! I was also a little put off how limited the menu was. Then again, I'm pretty sure they want you in the tavern part, not the dining part. I had the special Avocado GoGo. It was bad bad. You can see from the pictures not much in the way of avocado. They should have called it an olive tampanade with a slice of cheese. Yeah one. At least the olives were good. My wife had the Mansion Burger. It was good. Very sloppy and who doesn't like a sloppy floppy burger. The fries came out cold, no biggie. When we mentioned it, they brought us two giant bowls full of fries. They were great. All in all meh. Now, if you drink, you want to visit their tavern. That looks so cool. Go there for that.
