We had a very pleasant experience here. The ladies behind the register were warm and welcoming and politely but firmly defended open seats so those actively in queue had a place to sit. The food was also good, I had the quiche which was clearly freshly baked. The tea was a bit standard (sorry Lipton, you are not as you claim "America's favourite tea") but it was served with a smile and was nice and hot. Overall in a sea of fast food with mystery ingredients, I could see the spinach in my quiche and Jason's breakfast plate must have been decent as there's nothing left. 5 stars relative to the location and surrounding options. Is this place hoping for its first Michelin star? No, its an airport restaurant. Yes I ate with a plastic fork, but the food and the experience? Both were great. If you're in terminal A of DFW and want some hot decent food while you wait to board, you can't go wrong here. read more

Very clean, catchy French music plays at just the right volume. Cute French decorated... which gives a family owned feeling to the place. It's located inside the Dallas Airport so I'm not real sure of the operating hours. What I can say..., the food was served warm and the size of the meal was appropriate for the price. I ordered French dip sandwich and it was fabulous! The French roll was soft and delicious. The man that served me was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. After numerous failed attempts, decided that I would just have to settle for a Coke. The lines and most of the restaurants and convenience stores for extremely long. I saw a refrigerated cooler in the front of this restaurant and did not see anyone in line. When I walked into the restaurant, I immediately saw a self-service check out. Best thing EVER! I was in and out of the store, paid in full & credit card replaced in wallet in under a minute flat! Best experience service in ANY airport business I've ever had! I liked it so much, I repeated it a few minutes later for my sister-in-law ! Guess what, same thing happened again! Doing things yourself is the ONLY way to ensure things are done correctly and in a timely manner!! So glad this location had the self-serve option! This is a cute little French based bistro that offered several pastries and prepackaged sandwiches along with hot meal options. In got the American breakfast which was ok. Its was nothing special but the croissant was delish. My sis got a fancy ham and cheese sandwich called the croque monsieur. It was VERY GOOD. The staff was really nice, quick and accommodating. Poor quality! Placed order to go order of a sandwich and French onion soup. First they forgot the soup, then when I opened the soup it did not have any cheese or croutons. Also the sandwich was not the item I ordered. I ate a few bites of both as I was starving and running to catch my next flight and they tasted okay but very disappointing. read more

Had a three hour layover and wanted to find someplace to eat at for a late lunch. We stumbled upon this place after passing other restaurants and stores located near our gate. After looking at the menu, I decided on getting the pesto pasta and made my way to the cashier. The cashier was absolutely cheerful and had a great personality as he rung up my order and provided me with my order number. Just the setting of the restaurant felt like we were transported to a French restaurant and just hearing the cashier interact with the other customers made me smile. The pasta serving was decent with a French roll and tasted as good as my favorite pasta that I would get at Disneyland (definitely a weird comparison that I'm not mad about hehe) We ended up chilling there after finishing our meal and even thought about seconds, but ended up making our way out about 30 minutes before our flight hehe read more

Rude, uninviting location. No signage to let customers where to go and a cashier who'd rather talk on her phone than talk with customers. I asked if the quiche could be made fresh, "We have those (under a warmer) and we're busy so we're not making them to order." I ordered, then added a coffee and was reminded, "I ask you if that was all and you said yes, so now you want coffee?" I left. It's a shame because most La Madeline's are a great experience. If you like Le Madeleine, I would not recommend eating at the airport location. The atmosphere, food, and presentation here is more reminiscent of Grandy's than the cobblestone, "there's always a fire in the fireplace", French café that I've come to enjoy over the years. I ordered my usual French country breakfast, and it came on a disposable plate, resembling the pile of food one might expect from a cafeteria line. To be honest it was offputting, and made me wonder if Le Madeline's food is always this oily and I just didn't notice because of presentation and atmosphere. Kinda ruined it for me a bit. No complementary bread or self serve coffee are offered, and they did not ask me which blend I wanted when I ordered coffee at the counter. Flat panel digital Menus even took away from the classic, south of France traditional feeling of the place and reminded me of McDonald's. It's possible that the disposable plates, silverware, and cups are due to lack of space in the back for dish washing. But, my advice to Le Madeleine would be to avoid dumbing down their concept, because it re-framed my experience into something I enjoyed significantly less. read more

I had barely 5 minutes to get off and back on a long day of flights trying to get home in the snowstorm. Right outside our gate was Starbucks, or this place I'd never been. The staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly, also quite a character! They helped me make good fast choices and I got back on the plane asap with the most amazing sandwich, soup, and quiche for me and my husband. Just to be clear this is a Airport restaurant during a pandemic. So the surrounding restaurants were pretty much what you would expect a trickle here a trickle there. Some seating available if you were willing to sit in the awkward spot or the four top by yourself. Not here not this place. There was not a seat available in the house. In fact it appeared as though they had set up some tables just on the carpet outside of their space just to accommodate and even those tables were full. I didn't take any pictures of the food. My only time I don't usually forget this important step bit I was in a trance. Fascinated by the normal behavior happening around me. People laughing drinking being loud having fun....I mean this is an airport right? The prices are reasonable the food is good and the service is fantastic. Whoever is managing this place I want them to manage my restaurant if I ever open one. I've never seen a constant line out the door at an airport restaurant but this on head one. The atmosphere just take a the lead here. I just think everyone saw it and it just grew into an FOMO situation where even I as I walked by thought i want to have fun like they are having. Stopped by here for breakfast while changing planes. It was very good. I had a breakfast croissant with bacon. It was hot fresh, the croissant was flakey and buttery. The eggs weren't over cooked, and the cheese was melted into the eggs. I also had a cup of coffee they offer dark and medium roast. Yay for a good, consistent airport food option with great customer service! Tres, tres bon! I love La Madeleine, and found that the Dallas/Fort Worth Concourse A had a location so I traversed this very drab terminal with Pappadeaux Seafood ads plastering the walls (and almost working to steer me from my destination) to find the pleasant little La Madeleine location very much in the style of its other locations. Very clean, easy-to-read digital menus, and an incredibly pleasant cashier that greeted in French. I opted for my go-to Chicken Caesar which was only a little more expensive that normally. The staff is very tentative, and the cashier brought me my salad that was just as good as if I had gotten it from the location near my house. I noticed other employees were extremely amicable to other guests as well. My tiniest complaint was the classical music was very robust, but better than hearing the terminal calls every 20 seconds. I would 100% recommend if you're looking for a healthy food option away from a lot of the airport bustle in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport with great customer service, this is a perfect spot! read more

Saw the other reviews - although I have not tried the other locations, this IS an airport location and I would not expect service/food quality to be on par with a regular place. However, the food is AWESOME for an airport restaurant. I had the quiche and it was extremely tasty. The breakfast croissant was awesome too even though I ate it 2 hrs later on the plane. Service was quick this morning and friendly. Expectations should be altered when going to an airport location which in itself has different service requirements for in transit customers. It was early, and I was looking for something that served good coffee and something substantial. Don't fall for the signage for "Cafe Sienna", also in Terminal A, as it's just a mere coffee stand with pre-brewed coffee, and nowhere near as hopeful as the name. La Madeleine at least offers both American and tenuously French-inspired breakfast meals, in addition to a decent selection of French pastries and desserts. I got the Country French Breakfast and a coffee. The meal came with scrambled eggs, bacon (or sausage), a potato "galette" (actually hashbrowns mixed with scallions and fried into the shape of a saucer), and a croissant. The best part of the meal was easily the croissant, which was nice and pillowy. The eggs and bacon were skippable. The potato tasted good but was too greasy for my taste. Still, prices are reasonable, and I ended up with a better meal than I was expecting. The interior is actually really nice, with a fireplace and old-style French walls. I'd assume the other pastries are halfway decent based on the croissant I had. A pleasant three stars, and not a bad choice for a relaxing meal at the airport. read more
