Once again, this was a wonderful Yelp event. Kendall and Postino's, thank you very much. We chose to visit around the time of opening. After noon, you can expect the crowd to significantly increase and it will become busy. We ran into that, towards the end of our visit. With the increase in traffic, it was nice to be tended by more than one waiter. I didn't think about it then, but I would have loved to tip the second person, as well. When going to Postino's, I always try to get something new and they never fail to impress. Drink: The Mockingbird (Mocktail) - bright pineapple, a touch of Italian orange, and toasted almond bitters. This was very good and is something I'd get again. The Board: Brie, Apple & Fig Spread - this is a repeat for me, I absolutely love it. The apples are always fresh, crisp, and juicy. This is so perfect! Prosciutto Di Parma, Fig & Mascarpone - another repeat, I can't go to Postino's without having this on my board. Mushroom & Mascarpone - If you're a lover of mushrooms, you'll enjoy these little bites. I did notice, we did not get the green onions this time around and I was okay with that. They were removed, due to the current outbreak. Great thinking, Postino's! Salami & Pesto - This always closes the board for me, I love this combination. Although, I will add, I think a different type of salami would work best with this combination. West Coaster Panini - (Smoked ham, smashed avocado, arugula, roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion, Calabrian chili, feta cheese. For my side, I chose the tomato soup, my goodness, was it good. I must say, it is the best tomato soup, I've ever had. It was creamy, packed with flavor, and complimented my panini so well. Also, they add cheese tortellinis to the soup as well. So, good! This was very delicious, the ham stood out and wasn't muted. However, I think I will get another bread next time. I chose the focaccia, it was a bit too much bread for that particular sandwich. I will admit, it doesn't beat their prosciutto and brie panini; that sandwich is divine. Hot Donut Dots - (House made ricotta donut holes with salted butter chocolate, caramel and vanilla glaze dipping sauces.) These are superb and packs a lot in one bite. The cream in the middle is so smooth and full of flavor, but is very heavy. I'm not a cookies and milk person, but this dessert craves a tall glass of milk. They were hot, fresh, and I appreciate the fact that even when fried, they were not swimming in grease. The vanilla dipping sauce was my go-to, of the three sauces. They did well with this dessert, it hit all of the bases. Postino's is a great place to visit with friends, a date, or even as a solo-day/night out. This is a relatively quick trick to the location to enjoy a dinner with a friend. Overall, I would say it was a great experience. Initially I came to take advantage of a deal, however, do know that the $25 board and wine combo is only available Mondays and Tuesdays after 8 PM, and we were there around 4:30. However, despite that overlook on my part, the food definitely did not disappoint! We had an amazing server. She was easily available , quick, and accommodating. My friend had some dietary restrictions and she was quick to ask about them, and make needed modifications without any issue. Extremely kind, and fun to be around, she had some great suggestions for items on the menu. The environment was definitely more relaxed, however, the pace was definitely picking up when we left. As I mentioned we were there right before people seem to be getting out of work, and it seemed like a lot of people are making their way and to enjoy an evening meal or happy hour. We easily got a spot in front, however, if there happens not to be any available, there's lots of parking behind Lush on the opposite side of the road. I'm always excited to come back to Postino as the vibes are amazing and the staff is so warm and welcoming. One of my favorite things about Postino is their cozy sofa seating, it's always my first choice. This time, I also noticed something I'd somehow missed during all my previous visits....their wall of clocks! It was such a fun little detail that added even more character to the space. I tried a couple of wines from the menu. My favorite was the Stage Dive Pinot Noir, it was smooth, flavorful, and definitely the standout for me. I also tried one of their sparkling rosés (Intuicion) and it was refreshing, I personally preferred the Pinot Noir. For dessert, i tried the fresh donut holes, which came with vanilla glaze, chocolate, and caramel dipping sauces. The chocolate sauce was definitely my favorite. Ofc no visit to Postino is complete without ordering their bruschetta. I had to get my favorite smoked salmon, and it still remains the best one on the menu in my opinion. I also tried the apple and cheese bruschetta along with a few other varieties. They were good, but the smoked salmon is still the clear winner. I also ordered the cheese board, and that was probably the only item that didn't quite impress me. Postino is always busy and we've usually visit on weekdays around dinner time. I think they offer happy hr and bottle and board specials throughout the day. Our waitresses have always been very nice. Today I got the watermelon spritz with our donuts. The spritz was very bitter, I ended up not finishing it. The donut was the dense cakey kind with chocolate, caramel, and maybe vanilla dip. My husband ordered a board of bruschetta for us and a cider for himself. The cider was good and the board was okay. Some of the bruschettas were very burnt or lacking in toppings (made it bland). Smoked salmon very burnt Prosciutto fig very minimal topping Mushroom - okay, bland, watery mushroom Tomato bacon - okay - bit sour today Def our first visit the Bruschetta boards were our go to. Last two visits it has not tasted great to justify $18 for 4 slices of toast. We don't do wine so we don't partake in bottle and board specials. Today It was a bit hot inside and we were seated near the back which had no airflow. We were all sweating back here. The seat I was in had some tears in it and I kept readjusting or standing bc the tears would scratch my legs (I'm wearing shorts). It was my third time at Postino Southlake, and this place is always busy. It's the perfect spot for a date night or meeting up with friends. Their happy hour wine is a great deal and runs until 5:00 p.m. daily. I came on a Saturday evening, and our server, Kaiyan (I believe that was her name), was very sweet. It was my friend's first visit, so they took the time to go over the menu with her. If you're indecisive about the wine selection, they're happy to bring you a few samples. I had the Antioch, which was excellent. We shared the new herbed French fries, the table cheese, and the OMG Grilled Cheese without the smoked bacon, which came with creamy tomato soup. Everything was delicious and made for the perfect girl dinner. For dessert, we ordered the hot donut holes and the fudgy brownie. I really wanted to try the Basque cheesecake, but they were sold out, so I'll have to save that for next time. Both desserts were rich, but I preferred the brownie over the donut holes. The service was alot better than last time due to the hiccups here and there but it was definitely on point this time. The inside of the restaurant is always nice and got a little bit of retro going on but relaxed. My friend and I shared a charcuterie board which they are always good especially with the different flavors of sweet, salty, and savory. The appetizers kept this as a 4. Warm Saturday hanging out at the town center. Dropped into Postinos just missed the $6 wine. The burrata was outstanding. The only critique is that they bring out 3 pieces of crustini instead of 6 or 7 to get all the cheese, tomatoes and peppers. Great flavor. We also ordered the bruschetta, there are a variety of options. We did the salmon, tomato w/ cream cheese, special with leaks and a prosciutto. They were all amazing, can't go wrong. This was my first visit to Postino's in Southlake, and I'll definitely be back. Even on a busy Saturday afternoon, we were seated right away, and I appreciated the free parking behind the restaurant. My friend and I came here for a late lunch. Our servers name was Paige and she was a great server. I'm a vegetarian and wanted to get some item swaps on the charcuterie board and she was able to easily swap things out. Sometimes it can be difficult to be accommodated, but they accommodate with ease here! All of our food was phenomenal. I was sat immediately and my order was taken right away by the server that didn't mind at all that I was interested but not quite convinced by the odd pairings for battle of the bruschetta. We stopped by for the Community Yelp event during the summer series and were excited to try the drinks and donuts offered. When we arrived, there was some confusion because the host was not familiar with the event and had to check with a manager. To his credit, he was very kind afterward and got us seated quickly. Unfortunately, the service experience after that was disappointing. We waited around 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and it seemed like there may have been a miscommunication with the staff. We ordered a glass of the Blume, Fiore, and 2 orders of donuts with the three glaze options. The Fiore was absolutely delicious and was definitely the highlight, but one of the drinks we received was not what we ordered and we never had the opportunity to address it because our server did not return to check on us. The atmosphere and overall space are beautiful, and I can see the potential for this to be a great spot. However, the slow service and lack of attention to detail made the experience less enjoyable than expected. The service at the bar is where it's at - and this is where we have hunkered down on every visit. We came here with a group of 7 to celebrate a friend's birthday, and while the food and drinks delivered, the service... not so much. We stopped by for brunch and everything was fantastic! They are known for their bruschetta and I do love a good bruschetta. It's such a fun vibe, there are plants everywhere and the staff is so nice. They do take reservations but we didn't have one. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and opted to sit at the bar. Oh what a gem Postino Southlake is! We arrived Saturday eve about 10 min before our reservation and were seated immediately. Right by what I will call The Wall of Clocks - it was fun to see which ones we had as kids growing up. My Prickly Pear Margarita was superb (I had 2) and the food was awesome. So what happened at Pistino's after being seated, had to be a first. My wife and I pride ourselves in raising two really well mannered young men. When we were being seated, my youngest son does what he enjoys doing, and that's pulling my wife, his mom's chair out for her so she can be seated. This is what a gentleman should do. After doing so, the GM of Postino, Ryan was extremely blown away with excitement. He actually couldn't help but stop by our table and applaud our son what he'd seen him do and thank us for raising such a great young man. He was so proud of this, that he went out of his way and surprised us with a few delicious appetizers. Everything we ate was just splendid. Thank you Ryan for your generosity. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, but what really sets it apart is the staff-every single waiter and waitress is consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. We made reservations for Saturday @ 7pm. Even though both parties arrived separately and gave the name on the reservation they sat us apart. We were sitting in the atrium area between the bar and the patio. Our friends were sitting past the bar. We moved to join them but the acoustics are terrible. Whoever thought of just putting open shelves to separate the tables has lost their mind. All I could hear was the two girls conversation at the table beside us through the empty shelf space. We moved back to our table in the atrium. It hadn't been cleaned or cleared. We ordered the worst old fashioned we have ever had. The ONLY GOOD THING about this dinner was the wine. A Zinfandel and a Sauvignon Blanc. The meatballs with goat cheese and bread were meh. The grilled cheese with tomato soup were mediocre and our friends kinda picked at their food. We both wanted to order the skewers but the waitress came back telling us they were out. Once we got our food we ordered a side of focaccia bread which turned out to be flat toasted bread. It was good just not what it was represented as. Wait staff was non existent and I had to ask one of the people leaning on the bar to ring us out. We ran out of water and had to talk over our dirty plates that were never cleared. I did see our waitress spread pretty thin waiting on patio tables and five tables in the atrium so maybe it was a staffing issue. But I also lots of staff leaning in various areas around the restaurant. Also, it's very loud inside. Very hard to talk to people a couple feet away that you are sitting across from. Postinos is a unique experience indeed! First off, the ambience is both eclectic and relaxed in such a great way. Overstimulating yet peaceful and chic? I'll forever be amazed at how well they have pulled that off. We loved the grilled cheese so much. It was everything we were hoping for!! The boards are really the star of the show here. I highly recommend trying them all. Even the ones you think you won't like. There are great options!! I don't prefer the pesto here, though. It isn't "pesto"-y enough (which I realize sounds silly but you'd understand once you tasted it). It was missing that strong flavor I usually love so much about pesto. Maybe it was a bad batch? I skip it ever since. We LOVE the artichoke, the fig and prosciutto...my husband even loved the tomato bacon one! Service had the food out quickly, but sadly was pretty slow otherwise. Wanted to really love this place. Menu, interior photos and all the high reviews looked promising. Once at the restaurant it was a complete 180. Took 20 minutes once seated to get waters or any drink at that. Ordered Chef Charcuterie board to start. It was so bland and uninspiring we quickly asked for our check and went down the street to a different establishment that saved the day. I wouldn't eat here again even if the entire ticket was comped. Service was poor. Food is a no. Atmosphere is fantastic however.
