It was nasty and I still paid for leaf lettuce that they didn't have

I'm so disappointed today with your restaurant. I ordered a taco no shredded lettuce with lettuce leaf wrapped, I ordered 30 mins in advance, when I got there I waited another 37 mins for a 1 taco order so I wasted my lunch hour. When I finally got my order I asked why it was on bowl, girl said they didn't have lettuce leaf so they added shredded lettuce without asking me. I was upset and frustrated since I paid extra for lettuce leaf wrapped. Shredded lettuce was soggy in some greasy liquid, I ended up not eating this nasty thing. I've been calling all day and no answer.

I dined at lunch and was really impressed! My "Teacher's Treat" option included a soft chicken taco on a corn tortilla, a mixed salad, house-made chips, queso, and large drink. The chicken was very tender and all the vegetables in the salad were fresh. The queso wasn't stereotypical orange-Velveta queso. It was clearly made fresh with authentic cheeses. It tasted terrific! My friend's meal came with a cup of gumbo, of which I was dubious (Mexican gumbo?). But it had big chunks of chicken and celery and a nice flavor. It also, however, had a surprising kick of heat due to a few hidden peppers! The patio is very open, has fans for cooling, and TVs for watching sports. The patio is also dog-friendly.

I absolutely love this neighborhood restaurant. I'm fairly new to Leander and this is my absolute favorite spot to enjoy some tacos, trivia, margaritas and bloody Mary's . Autumn and Beth are amazing servers and bartenders. Super sweet and attentive. Try the Bloody Mary it's absolutely delicious!

It's my second time here and the food is always delicious. You wait at the door to be seated, but you seat yourself. I've sat inside, by the bar and there (clear covered) outside with heat lamps and hot pits. You see the Longhorns as soon as you park. There's Longhorns corn hole, which can be fun for having a drink and waiting for your food. I ordered a 24oz house margarita, had far too much mix than tequila. I ordered a shot for my drink to actually taste as it should. My friend however ordered a raspberry margarita and it was good. Next time I'll stick with beer. We ordered the spicy queso with chips. Both were good. As we were finishing our Meat Monster tacos in a bowl. It is loaded with three types of meat, queso, Jack and cheddar cheese and pico de guio. (I forgot the taco bowl photo, I'll have to go back and do it again!

Beth was my service Tuesday morning and she was amazing! Stopped in before an appt on the weekend and had a simple small but filling breakfast. Great service and great food

Located in Leander in a safe part of town with plenty of parking lies a little hidden gem with little fanfare called Guaco Taco. Outside is more or less a run of the mill restaurants façade with a small but quaint sign and a large porch area. Walk on in and the place has a more character. The tables are humble but the bar is distinct in that it has interesting walls, a nice marble top with multiple windows that open up to the outside right behind the bar. That along with a lot of TVs and a proud selection of the finish spirits on the bookshelf like wall make for a fun presentation. The number of cocktails isn't earth shattering and the presentation is simplistic in nature. That said the drinks are decent, which is to say they're serviceable but they're not trying to encourage the pinky up crowd. Their bourbon and diet was perfectly balanced and the only reason I mention that is how many times I've had somewhere that doesn't know how to make it. The "Lime in Da Coconut" was an extremely tasty concoction. Coconut is stuck to the rim while the drink balances fresh lime juice to cut the rich coconut. A very nice spring and summer refreshment for adults. Also, the bartender and waitstaff are extremely nice and quick to fulfill orders with a smile on their face. As for the food it's pretty good however I only sampled the nachos. The whole dish was again, simple yet familiar without any over the top flair. The beef was well seasoned, the guac was fresh as was the pico de gallo. As a personal preference I'd rather have melted cheese than queso, but that's me. Also, I added some shredded lettuce and it was a great addition. The portion size was small so be prepared if you eat a lot, it might take an app and entrée to "fill 'er up." Guaco Taco is a very good, hometown like bar with great food with a relaxing, kicked back atmosphere. The staff are pleasant with a fresh and tasty food selection accompanied by no fuss beverages. This is a place where you can stop by after work for a breather or bring the family in for some clean food. A solid choice as opposed to chain restaurants.

Not just another steak burrito, but one made "Baja Style", with Ranchero meat or similar. We've found something that comes close at Aparicio's. It's not your ordinary menu choices of ground beef, pork and chicken. First of all, customers waiting in line were raving to their friends on how amazing the food is. The quality, the service and the portion sizes. Taco prices are a bit higher than your average taco stand, but this is not a "hole in the wall" dive joint. The owners have made your experience here unique in the decor, yet the food served on homemade tortillas lets you know you're being blessed in the kitchen, by someone who cares. When we arrived we told them this was our first time. The host spoke to someone, and out from the kitchen comes a sample tray with five cups of food to sample. Carne Asada, chicken, pastor, chorizo and Pableno Pepper sauce. We ordered the Cali Burritto. A Carne Asada burrito with fries, pico, and other fixings. It was huge, even after cut in half. I opted for two tacos, pastor which came with a slice of grilled pineapple and Chorizo. Both served on hand made flour tortillas and they were great. We also got an order of cheese fries. A small bowl of McDonald's size fries with shredded cheese and a light cheese sauce melted on top. It was great, paired with a homemade jalapeño ranch sauce. Finished with a fresh strawberry horchata drink in a large mason jar and a mango melon drink. 6:50 each, yet well worth the cost. So if you're looking for something other than Tex-Mex fusion Mexican food, or if you're missing tasting real authentic Mexican food without having to drive to San Antonio, then drive on over to Leander. Once you pull into the lot, right of Smoky MO's just behind the jewelry shop. Enjoy! Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

I never went as the exterior is pretty unassuming but it was surprisingly warm on the inside! I actually ended up going two days in a row as the food was so good. On the first day i got a pastor torta cubana (pretty rare in cedar park/leander) and it was stacked! It was loaded with all the toppings, they did not skimp. Nice to have a place with tortas nearby. I came back the next day and I tried their seafood. I got shrimp ceviche, which came with tostadas and toppings (limes/avocado/mayo). It was light and delicious. As id skipped breakfast it also got a breakfast taco...it was HUGE! Mexican scrambled eggs and cheese. And super reasonably priced. We got queso as well and it was fine. Ive had better but it was decent. The waitresses were amazing and super attentive. Before leaving we asked for a refill for example and they put our drinks in large Togo cups without us asking. Queso tastes like velveeta with Kraft singles melted with a handful of chopped tomatoes. Just terrible. The salsa that came out with chips (thin and flavorless) was sweet and almost had a chutney taste. The bean dip was very watery. So unappetizing to eat. Ordered burritos and a salad.. The burritos had the same gross cheese and the ground beef was unflavored. The flour tortillas were thick and hard. The salad was okay. It really wasn't worth coming back for. Table water was gross, lots of floating particles. It states it's Mexican food, but it tastes very whitewashed. Definitely does not have the authentic flavors of true Mexican food. Needs salt at the very least. Do not recommend if you're craving authentic Mexican food.
