UPDATE TO MY REVIEW BELOW: I changed it from a 2-Star to a 4-Star because we received a callback from the Manager the next day after I emailed a complaint. And my spouse had a very good conversation with him, not only did he offer 'Service Recovery' but understood the 'negatives' of not keeping up with the quality many have 'enjoyed and experienced' since they opened. We only wish this place the best, and thanks to the service recovery we will remain loyal customers. Service Recovery is VERY VERY important because things happen, just make them better. ------------------------------------------------ This is where the hype ends. This has been a GREAT PLACE. Now fast forward and the quality starts going down. I ordered a cheese pizza for delivery for my birthday dinner celebration. The pizza was THIN and NOT fluffy as it usually is. Biting it or even cutting it through with a knife was hard at work. AND IT CAME COLD. All of us were disappointed how bad it was. I called the restaurant to express my disappointment only to be told over the phone "OK we'll let the chef know because we're really busy". Thats NOT how service recovery works. The pizza we ordered was not good. We identified the pepperoni specifically as having a bad aftertaste. After just a few bites of one slice, we called the restaurant to see if we could get a refund. They refused to do so. They made no effort to make any reasonable attempt to resolve our dissatisfaction. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone read more

They do not have meat. I was so embarrassed because we are visiting from out of town and i googles pizza places for groups and this place cane up. No where does it say vegerarian or its not obvious. I had 13 boys ready for pizza after a hard game. I really feel it should be advertised as a non meat restaurant. Service was great. This place is cute on the inside but the turnoff for me was the large man wearing a filthy shirt doing who knows what regarding the food prep. Great pizza with quality ingredients. Everything was perfect, sauce, crust, toppings, and cheese. One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. They have an interesting mix of toppings available. There are nice tables to eat at the restaurant or they have take out and delivery. And the amazing thing is that its certified Kosher. I would be great if it wasn't Kosher but for many people having a certified Kosher restaurant in San Diego is amazing. read more

Met some friends here for the first time yesterday. The pizza is amazing! Love that you can try different pizzas because they sell by the slice. The Mushroom pesto and rosemary potato were delicious. Also tried their truffle fries 100% tasty. They have gluten and dairy free options, salad, pastas, calzones, soups...I have to go back and try it all. They even let us sample the goat cheese pizza since there wasn't slices available when we ordered. I appreciate a restaurant that provides a little unexpected service. The only Kosher pizza place around. read more

I have lived in San Diego for 45 years and up until last night had yet to discover THE pizza that hit all the marks for me and my wife. While not a connoisseur, I have eaten fine pizza in New York, Chicago, and Boston, but had yet to be satisfied here at home. UNTIL LAST NIGHT. My daughter discovered this place during a "drive-by", and 7 of us decided to go last night to celebrate 2 family birthdays and my grandson's return from a US Marine tour of duty in Japan. Conveniently located on University Avenue, we found the place to be nice and com fortable. The young lady who took our order was not only patient ( it takes time to order from an unfamiliar menu ) and gracious. We ordered and split 2 Mediterranean salads which were excellent. We then settled on three 18" pies ( Buffalo, Mushroom Medley, and Goat Cheese ) -- all proved to be beyond excellent. The crusts were sturdy enough to pick up while supporting the toppings ( meaning no sagging and run-off of the cheese and veggies ), all of which were fresh and delicious. Without question, this place warrants a return visit -- with many other menu options to select from. Our ONLY bit of negative feedback is that the paper plates used for the pizza and salad werre wimpy -- barely strong enough to support a slice being passed to you from the far end of the table. A strong, 2-ply plate would be a fine upgrade. To paraphrase Arnold in "The Terminator", "We'll be back" read more
