I dont like to say bad things about people that rub me the wrong way. I believe that if you do good, good will come back. With this in mind i would like to say i am doing good by informing you for the service Mike and Brett hold. i read the good reviews and it seems like since Mike or Brett are making money off those individuals, they smiled in every way. The dealer is one minded and it is not customer service. My first day walking into the dealer i was looking at a VW Beatle. Mike walks up to me and asks if i am interested in the vehicle. I confirm i am interested and what was the price on the vehicle. Keeping in mind i had seen the price Online first there was a price of the car right in front of me. Mike answers "what the car says". i respond " i saw another price online for $1000 less". Mike says "im just joking" - keep in mind his tone was sarcastic not polite. This is where i get a weird vibe from him. I respond to him again " i knew that was the price!" and he walks away.... now i don't like to be one sided. my response was serious to be frank. Mike walks away and says no more. i walk up to his office and try again. i ask him how were his holidays and he goes on how stressful he is. so i begin to understand where his frustration comes from. I let him know that the 2012 VW Beatle has frame damage that has been fixed but it is clearly there. Mike couldnt believe it and says his does not know every car by heart and pulls up a carfax ans it doesn't show the accident. Noe i know dealerships and they buy clean title cars from auctions but that didnt mean it doesn't have damage or an accident that was not reported. Long story short this dealership does not hold good honest reviews. THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW as it can get. my story goes on on how i still went to work out a price and they did a credit check. Mike knew as well as Brett i did noe have "GOOD" credit. As we went through the process they said they would call me back the next day because it was late and mike and Brett did not bother calling me. I called back to follow up Ray said they had not done it yet and Mike would call back in 30 minutes and he did not. i Called back 40 minutes later. Because the financial company that approved me charges the dealership $1,100 they decide not to honor the price we agreed on and they went back to the original price listed online. On top of that they charged me $500 from their financial company because they would "not make any money" for the VW Beatle. As I asked Mike to let me see what the bank wanted. Mike responded " I cannot show you what the bank says you have to beleive me". i am disgusted with the type of people they have here. I always love to see everything on paper so as a customer as a buyer we can have a transparent deal. Mike asked for 10 references and their addresses. I've financed a vehicle before with Toyota financial and they never treated me like this. i believe why big dealerships are big and why small ones are small and the way these "people" work they will run this business down to the. ground Now when i come to dealership i expect CUSTOMER SERVICE, COURTESY, and a deal. in this case it's either their way or no way. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. this dealership should be shut down for dishonesty with the vehicle damage not reported in carfax but CLEARLY in the good hood of the car you can see it as you pop the hood. This is my second review for La Mesa Pre-Owned. My wife and I stopped by to say hello and check out the lot. We were greeted like family when we entered the dealership by Brett and Mike. Thinking of a possible upgrade we started looking for a late model, quality vehicle with low mileage in pristine condition at an affordable price with lots of bells and whistles. Well, Mike met all of these needs. After realizing what we were looking for he took us right to the most amazing vehicle we have ever owned. Suddenly and unexpectedly this smiling face walks in and greets us like long lost friends. It was Ray the owner who is the greatest. I have purchased 3 vehicles from Cars for Less/La Mesa Pre-owned on separate occasions. I could not be happier with the cars. The salesman Mike(ex-military) was professional and friendly throughout the process. He has over 15 years experience in car sales. I have also met Ray the owner and he explained the financing process and was honest. I also work on cars and these vehicles have been thoroughly gone through and brought up to standard prior to sale and are as good as any certified vehicle from any Stealership. I financed all the cars through the dealer and the process was painless. If you don't qualify for financing they may still be able to get you into a ride but of course the interest rate will be higher and this is standard for people with sub par credit. These are nice cars but they have been used and driven. One of my purchased vehicles needed tires and I was made aware of this, but for the price I just purchased them myself on Walmart.com and had them installed. Don't waste your time other places. Aloha, We began the headache of car shopping a few days ago. After many failed attempts, we finally found La Mesa Preowned Dealership last night to look for a new vehicle. We were greeted by Mike who appeared to be very well put together. Him and his staff made us feel comfortable at the showroom and he showed us around and guided us through the available cars there. I must say that this was my best car shopping experience ever. Mike was very informative and he was answering very question of ours patiently. What a pleasant car buying experience! While shopping for a mini van, I ran across the Cars for Less (LaMesa Preowned) website and noticed a vast inventory. They were reasonably priced but I was concerned and absolutely DREADING the uneasy-wheel-and-deal-you-pushy car salesman routine. I contacted the lot first before making the trip. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman named Mike. He reassured me the van I viewed on the website was still available. Upon my arrival, Mike was finishing up with a customer and I obshe was professional, knowledgeable and patient in answering all the customer's questions. I took a look at two minivans and with the straightforward approach of Mike and his confidence in standing by the product, we made a sale in less than 15 minutes. WOW! What a purchase. I don't know why I took so long to write this review, but after my truck is in the shop once again, I finally had to make a statement I purchased a Ford F150 2011 used also purchase the warranty which was a couple thousand dollars itself. The truck had problems within 48 hours. I should've returned it then but I trusted people it was a small fix then noticing that the paperwork was wrong for the truck and the .Car fax that was given to me was same type truck but wasn't actually the truck vin was different I've had a truck now going on two years. I've had the truck in and out numerous mechanic shops. I've spent more I'm trying to fix this truck. The truck is even worth the warranty does not cover nothing. That's what it seems and then when they finally covered a rebuild engine. They gave me back $2800 towards the warranty engine when the warranty cost 2500 really not much of a difference. We high tailed it there. Was greeted by a delightful gentleman (Mike). He was as professional and real as they come. He didn't pressure us or hound us like the big dealerships does. To make a long story short, Mike helped my husband with a different vehicle than the one we initially went in to see. And I can't even begin to explain the overall satisfaction from that sale. Found a few cars with this dealer through cars.com that looked great. I reached out to dealership to confirm clean title and ask a few general questions. Response was to call for this info, frustrating response from an online service ...I am working online to streamline my search with limited time. Anyway, I decided to run the VIN #'s and BOTH cars I was looking at were bought at auction and BOTH had serious issues. One had a salvaged title and the other listed "Primary Damage: Front End" AND "Secondary Damage: Biohazard/Chemical" ...this is ABSOLUTELY something that should be listed online in details!! I did hear back from dealer after a 2nd email. Dealership advised me that titles for both cars were 'rebuilt' ...still something that should be listed!! read more

I've already recommended to a couple folks that are looking to buy a car in the near future! Like other reviews I was a little skeptical, my husband even more so. The experience was fantastic though! I'm super singular minded when I know what I want. After several locations shopping around, I found this place and am so grateful. Got my first car here when I was 17 with my mom and still have it to this day (Im 21 now) and the car still hasn't given me any issues . It has a lot of sentimental value because I learned about the importance of having good credit and paying monthly for something. Since then my friend has also got a car from La Mesa Pre Owned. I see the La Mesa Pre Owned license plates on random cars on the freeway and I just get happy because there are SOOO many shady used car dealerships and this one I know I can trust, will always get a car from them whenever I think about upgrading or switching it up! I started my search for a truck about a month ago. After getting approved by my bank for an auto loan my search became slightly more difficult due to the criteria given by the bank. With more intensive search it seemed the only decent truck I could find was the one that the La Mesa Pre-owned team had. Mike and his team were so cooperative through out the whole process.
