    We just purchased a vehicle from So Cal Performance, and I can honestly say it was the best car-buying experience I've ever had. Larry, Butch, Lauren, and the entire team are great people who make you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. I walked in a bit skeptical, but it turned out to be a top-notch vehicle that completely sold itself. What really stood out to me was their upfront pricing, absolutely NO hidden dealership add-on fees, unlike so many other places. Everything was transparent, honest, and straightforward. They've officially become the first dealership I'll always consider for any future purchase. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you want an enjoyable, stress-free, and trustworthy car-buying experience, So Cal Performance SD is the place to go. Would love to do business with them again!

    If I could give more stars I would! This is how car buying should be! I truly feel like we just bought a car from family friends. Butch, Larry and Steve were honest, funny and quick. Made the car buying experience actually enjoyable. DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP!!

I was told by the person on the phone, Rick, that the finance company would not approve financing without adding on their warranty, which was an additional $2800. We made the trip out there and after sitting down to talk financing, I mentioned that the price was pretty high, considering the year and condition of the car and then suddenly they're talking about how they're already giving me a massive discount despite the fact that at NO point from when I called to when we were looking at the car, did they ever talk about giving us a discount. At this point, the finance person we were talking to just up and left and the manager took over. I asked for $350 off and they gave me very hard time about it, however they did approve it. They have you sign all the paperwork with a computer screen half turned towards you. The car gave us a flashing check engine light on the way home. Once reading the paperwork that was emailed to us, I saw on the warranty page as well as the financing page that it states that the warranty is not required or considered for accepting financing. This was very upsetting as we were told, Prior to ever making the trip over; that we would need to have the warranty to secure the financing. When signing the paperwork they do not go into detail about the warranty, They hardly even bring it up. The manager agreed to refund the warranty, however, because "he's losing money on the deal" He has to take his cut of our refund ($1,600) And then we can have the remaining $1,300. I explained to him that We were told we had to have the warranty To secure the financing by Rick. He did not seem to care and instead of doing the honorable thing which would be to return the full value of the warranty because we were lied to by one of his employees, he insists on taking his cut. Despite us being lied to, despite book value on the cars loan paperwork listed as under 5000 (the care was listed at nearly 10k and we purchased for 8.4k) despite that we asked and they agreed on an additional $350 off, and despite that we were told they get most of their cars from auction. So instead of Acknowledging the fact that we were lied to by one of the employees And making things right by refunding us for the full amount of the warranty; They are still going to take their cut of $1600 and they are not even honoring the $350 that I requested off (I never originally requested the $1,600 off. As previously stated we came there, assuming we were going to pay full price, and were not told about a discount until I directly questioned what they were talking about) It seems to me like they only gave us the additional amount off to get us approved for financing, but because they were taking less on the car, they added the warranty so that they could still make an additional profit. Every time I call, they say that the manager is gonna call me back and he never does. But of course, when I was calling to originally buy the car, they were l quick to call back. This could have been a much different review, despite the slimy hard selling techniques; I did like the car, however I cannot stand behind being purposely misled and lied to and when Confronting them about it, they refuse to actually make it right. The trust is gone. I have to agree with the negative reviews. Please do not buy a car here. I will never return. What does it say about a business if they do not care about making things truly right?

    AVOID AVOID AVOID I…read morebrought my 73 year-old little old lady friend to buy the clean 2006 Range Rover Sport on the lot. She paid full price, cash for it. It was in good shape but it was filthy, inside and out. So JJ agreed to have it detailed and prepared for pickup 3 days later. When we arrived to pickup the vehicle after two hours of fighting traffic from Orange County, JJ said there was a problem and the vehicle wasn't ready for us. (He couldn't tell me before I left and wasted time and money to get there? Of course not, he could care less, and has no concern for others time schedules.) JJ's excuse was the detail guy pushed all the buttons in the center console and messed up the suspension. Is that possible? Autobaun held onto the vehicle for another week - they had it at Land Rover Carlsbad dealer to reset the suspension. I always had to be the one to initiate communication. JJ's usual response: it's my day off, or "my manager isn't in". He finally delivered it, not on a truck, but they had driven it from SD and used up all the fuel in it. It was also delivered filthy, and DAMAGED. The rubber door liner had a massive gaping hole 6 inches long, which wasn't there when we bought the vehicle. JJ refuses to fix the problem even through the Land Rover dealer in Newport Beach has a $269 repair estimate. JJ says "drive it down here and we'll fix it". Yeah right. Just fix it you GD shister. Fing unbelievable. JJ had multiple chances to make this right. Instead he choose to live up to the po$ used car salesman connotation. This place has no integrity and employs people who echo that mindset. My recommendation is to avoid this place and seek your new ride elsewhere.

We were also told when we signed the contract that we wouldn't have to make our vehicles monthly payment that was due in a week if we traded it in. The payment came out of our account a week later and when we called to get a refund we kept getting the run around for a couple of weeks. Looking at the contract and calling the lender of the vehicle we traded in, we found out that they didn't pay off the vehicle for the correct amount listed on the contract. It's been over a month and we are STILL trying to work out getting our money back. We are not people to write negative reviews but felt this one was warranted.

The lights were on the morning of my appointment and remained on when I arrived at the dealership. I specifically pointed this out to Ivan Gonzalez at drop-off and explained that the lights have been intermittent and may turn off once the vehicle is shut off. Several hours later, I received a call stating that service was being refused because there were "no warning lights on at arrival," which is simply not true. Despite this, the dealership identified the cause of the issue but still declined to make the repair, stating that policy required the warning lights to be present--something I had already shown and explained at drop-off. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience due to poor communication and an unwillingness to address a clearly documented issue.
