Special thanks to Kayla with service. They helped us with a brand new Leisure Travel van that we didn't even purchase from them. I am glad they are here and I'm glad Kayla works there.

TL/DR AVOID AT ALL COSTS THEY SUCK FROM THE WORD GO!! DO NOT USE LA MESA FOR A PURCHASE OR SERVICE!!! I'm usually one to be quick to bring a review up and slow to bring it down. This one has fallen fast and hard. We paid up for a nice Entegra 24L class C on a Mercedes chassis. In short Mercedes did their this right and Entegra and La Mesa have done one thing wrong after another. Too many items are a complete failure to even enumerate them in detail. DO NOT USE LA MESA FOR SALES OR SERVICE YOU WILL REGRET IT COMPLETELY. We have canceled more trips than we've made since February when we took ownership of the new coach. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and the buck gets passed, shoulders get shrugged and calls are very rarely returned even when we reach out 2-3 times a week. It's been there for 2 full months this time and I have no clue when it will return. This place is a joke. We had a helpful service advisor who is now gone. He was hamstrung by the inept service department management. It has never worked properly and we have never been offered any recourse. It's been one shot show after another dating back to February. The gloves come off this week. Dealing with this ineptitude and unresponsive company is absolutely the most frustrating work experience of a lifetime.

They are great when you are buying the unit, its the aftercare and service they are terrible with. My son purchased a 2020 Grey Hawk and it had many issues, the two worst were the lighting in the bedroom and the bolts that hold the unit to the frame were coming out and tearing through the floor. La Mesa repair facility try's to micky mouse things together, they had our unit for more than 6 months to complete repairs they didn't do or did incorrectly, the lights are still not working and the glue they used for the new floor is coming through the flooring. When you call or email for assistance they don't reply. This facility is is several hours away and I'm a first responder, firefighter paramedic and don't have time to deal with these terrible service people. Tried to get them to fix their mistakes and they refuse to help, not even fixing a safety issue call back from the manufacture, the hydraulic pump. Don't let a good deal blind you for the service that is needed when buying an RV, especially a Jayco.

How do u feel about Mesa RV on Chiles Rd, in Davis for repairs?

The staff here was above and beyond! Happy, knowledgeable, friendly and appreciative more like I was doing them a favor vs them doing me one. From the first email request for info, they made sure to contact me under my terms (email for now as I was at work) we did everything over email. Eventually I was able to work a bit through Text. I really appreciated the no calls, and no harrassment! RJ set me up with a day and time that worked for us to pickup, again coming from out of state. Everything was ready to go. They even put the hitch components on the truck and trailor for us when we arrived. When mine didnt work, they worked with us to get it done! I have had Rv's before and this time they took the time to show me how to properly use my brake controller and what to expect pulling something so much smaller than I am used to. We took it out for the first time 3 weeks after purchasing, and found an issue under my sink. Now this not being my first trailor, I expected something to need fixing. Bouncing and driving it happens. I emailed RJ at 730pm on a Friday night.. He responded (I couldnt believe it, I didnt expect to hear until Monday) He had the service person included into the email. They scheduled me a service repair well beyond hours, made it easy. I feel completely confident my new RV will be fixed and make for the rest of summer trips to be fabulous! Next trip.. Grand Canyon! Happy Daze RV, Thank you! RJ thank you! Pamela

Staff is very nice and we did bring it in just before Memorial Day so we knew we would probably have a wait. All we needed was generator oil change, checking the water pump and battery load, looking at the tires sensors, checking the roof and a wash. They said we needed new tape on top to keep the solar panels in place and couldn't find anything wrong with the pump. We got it back after three weeks and on the walk-through were actually told that the guys took all the old tape off and cleaned it up when they didn't even need to do that but they thought it was a water repellent issue which it wasn't. So who knows how much extra time went to that at $175 an hour or so. We also noticed later that we didn't get the tire valve caps back and I went to turn on the air conditioner unit in the 96° heat in downtown Saceamento and they had not turned the switch back on for that in the generator. That meant that after consulting with AI during a work event, I I was crawling under the RV in downtown Sacramento on the street to open the generator cover and flip the switch. The work overall cost $1100. Obviously, we did not think it was particularly affordable, convenient and we're not pleased with the handling of the relatively simple items on our list. There's another place not too far from us and a highly rated mobile technician as well that maybe we'll try next time. ARV business model involves multiple different technicians working on the van, which is why it takes so long, but in addition to the inconvenience we just got pretty mixed results on the work.

I looked at the vans available for the dates I wanted and the Zion was just what I was looking for. It was the smaller of the standard sizes of Mercedes vans. That was great because I was slightly apprehensive about driving a larger van. (After driving the Zion, I feel I would be OK with the larger 170 inch wheel base vans.) The rental price was very reasonable considering that the van was essentially my home for three days. The van was well equipped and very comfortable. I enjoyed my three days and showing the van to my friends.

We were able to attend one of their open houses and it became obvious that they do exceptional work. The owners, as well as builders, were all available to speak with and answered a ton of questions. They gave us information on things we didn't even know to ask. We were able to look at and sit in most of the floor plans they offer, really helping us to understand the different options of "furniture" placement. We left the open house feeling confident that we would be making the best choice by going with Scenic Vans. A week later I was able to do a consultation with two of the owners, mocking up different options for van builds. I left that appointment having complete understanding of what we will be paying when we do our build. They are in the process of helping us get the best deal on the van we will do the build in. A conversion van purchase isn't a small purchase. We are in a season of life change, waiting for our retirement date, but can't wait to have new adventures in a van Scenic will build for us. I have no doubt they will do a great job making the perfect van for us. This company has won us over based on craftsmanship and customer service!
