We got the nice employees last trip. We took our Cheesesteak to Wilmington Brew Works. It was a good to above average Cheesesteak. Maybe if I ate it hot of the grill it would be better. I am usually in the area for work every other week or so and I make this my regular stop. If you are on a lunch budget like I am than this place is great. Lunch special: 6" Steak sandwich with crispy fries and a can of soda.....$5! WOW! The only thing that can make this sandwich better is if they used French Bread instead of a soft roll. DO NOT EAT FOOD FROM HERE. Our usual delivery place closed so we decided to try out somewhere we've never ordered from before. I'm disappointed at how bad this food was. Despite the way the food looked (see pics) we spent $30 so we were determined to try and eat this food. #1- they messed up the order. We asked for NO SAUCE on the Stromboli but it came swimming in sauce. I asked for ranch with the buffalo chicken fingers and I got blue cheese. #2- the food tasted as terrible as it looked. The chicken fingers came coated in way too much soggy breading with this weird orange hot sauce. The Stromboli was soaked in grease and sauce making it soggy as well. The meat inside was gross and very low-grade. The fries came with some nasty orange cheese sauce and tasted like they were cooked in grease that hadn't been changed in quite some time. #3- it came with no receipt so I couldn't see how much we even spent on this garbage. This is my favorite hoagie place in the area. I moved out here 2 and 1/2 years ago, and nothing comes close to Concord Pike taste and price. There's tons of meats on their hoagies. It's not all bread like a lot of places. They have specials everyday of the week. At my office we particularly love Thursdays with $5 wings. I am absolutely obsessed with their wings. They are human and have made an error or two, but have rectified immediately. One time they forgot the 2 liter of soda, I told them not to worry about it. The delivery guy went and picked up the sodas at Wawa AND took it off my bill for the error. 08/30/2014 - I no longer order from here. I'm not a fan of bashing businesses, so I won't include anything but facts, no opinions. They've not only increased their prices, but also delivery minimum. It used to be $10 but it has now increased it by 50%. There is no consistency in the products. Sometimes the wings are amazing, other times they're barely edible. Sometimes when you get a Stromboli it's thick and fluffy. Other times it's flat and wide. Sometimes it has raw dough inside, other times they have actually sent it burnt. Their menu doesn't have specific details of what's included. The final straw for me was when I called upset that they put sauce inside of a ham and cheese Stromboli. I expressed it was not listed on the menu that it would include sauce. The owner's response was "our pizza doesn't say there's sauce included either". I refuse to give my money to a business that would ever consider talking to a customer like that. Especially considering how often I ordered and how often my office ordered. The only reason I switched it from 1 star to 2 stars is because I was given a $10 gift certificate for the issue. I gave it away. I'm not interested. I love chicken cheese steaks. I've had Concord Pike's steaks several times before. Over the past year, though, quality has taken a huuuuge dive. I recently ordered a large chicken cheesesteak to go, and the chicken tasted like the inside of a freezer- like someone ground up a chicken flavored sponge, popped it in an open ziploc bag, and let it develop freezer burn next to old leftovers from the Clinton administration. There was hardly any cheese, so the onions and "chicken" just kind of dryly rolled about in the roll, spilling everywhere. The roll was the only good part about the hoagie. I HATE wasting food, but I took three bites and threw it (along with nine dollars) in the trash. This wasn't an isolated incident, as I've gotten a few similar cheesesteaks that have tasted like freezer burn in the past year, hoping each bad order was just a fluke. Never again. read more

So far have only gotten the pizza here but it was good enough to bring us back multiple times...until recently. The crust has a wonderful mild garlic flavor, making you want to finish every bite. I've never had anything bad here (...and yes I actually have had a bad cheese steak/hoagie) Their portions are very generous, prices fair and ingredients top quality. They customize your sandwich any way you like and I've found the staff very friendly. Giving it 3 stars because the steak sandwich was good but you can tell it is under new management. They missed my fried onions,there was a little bit of cheese to go with the less amount of meat that use to come packed and cheesy on the sandwich. They have also raised the price. I ordered an Italian hoagie but I should have ordered a ham & cheese hoagie. The hoagie was loaded with ham on top and there was a thin layer of capicola and salami on the bottom. I didn't see or taste any prosciutto. They charge $9.00 for a small (8") Italian hoagie which is a $1.00 more than a ham & cheese. Definitely overpriced. I can go to another shop and get a 12" Italian hoagie loaded with capicola, salami, prosciutto and sharp cheese for $8.65. I did like the roll. It was firm which prevents it from getting soggy. My family ordered cheese steaks. They said they thought they were average. Nothing to rave about. They expected more because of the price. We most likely will not be returning. My husband went here last night to pick up (3) 12" cheese steaks (Large on their menu) and (2) two orders of plain fries. The bill came to $51.89! Here's the kicker, they charge $1.50 for fried onions! Are you friggin' kidding me? We also added green peppers and mushrooms to ours for another $6.00....wow. So, now the 12" cheese steak goes from $10.99 to $15.45. That is rediculous. Like I said, my husband ran out to grab dinner, if I was there, I would have walked out. I understand an additional charge for mushrooms, even peppers...but fried onions? And at $1.50 per add on, the sandwich should have been loaded...but I had to search for the onions and peppers...I did spot the mushrooms...but I would no way say it justified an additional $4.50 on a 12" cheese steak. In all fairness, the cheese steak was good, but if I'm paying $4.50 to add fried onions, peppers and mushrooms, I shouldn't have to search through the sandwich for them. I'd say the peppers and onions were between diced and minced in size. Will definitely NOT be ordering here again. Just a heads up too, although the fries at $3.99 didn't seem a bad deal...they sealed them in a round foil pan with a lid..so they were damp with no crunch at all. read more

I am a manager at a local retailer and have used Concord Steak Shop 3 times for our holiday meals. They came out to deliver at 3 different times on Black Friday to make sure the pizza was fresh for my employees, which was incredibly nice and also delivered pizza for one other holiday weekend. My most exceptional experience with them was Christmas Eve. In all of the holiday chaos we did not preorder a meal for our employees that were working Christmas Eve. I called Concord at 9:30 in the morning hoping they could help. I didn't want to order pizza again and the gentleman who answered the phone was extremely helpful in setting up a couple of platters to be delivered to my store even though his staff was scheduled for a short shift on the holiday. The trays to feed my 20 employees were at my store by 11:30, delivered by a very nice guy (he had to wait for me to make my way up through a busy store). Several of my employees thanked me and complimented the freshness and variety of the trays. Thank you Concord Pike Steak Shop for helping me to reward the hard work of my employees during this holiday season. Great food, great price and exceptionally great service! read more
