This restaurant is located in a shopping center in the intersection between Woolsey and Bear Creek. We came here with friends during my child's soccer tournament. The wait staff is friendly and funny. The restaurant caters to a wide audience from those seeking a more authentic Mexican food experience and those who want the more standard affair of burritos and enchiladas. The adults in our group wanted authentic Mexican food while the kids wanted a more simple. The adults ordered under the "Authentic Mexican Tacos" part of the menu. Between the four of us, we tried the Azada (steak), Lingua (beef tongue), tripa (tripe), chicharron (fried pork rinds), and pollo (chicken). The tacos are served with homemade corn tortilla topped with onions, cilantros with a side of lime. The tacos were very tasty. The tongue was melt in your mouth and the tripe was also top notch. The fried pork rinds was good but not crispy (still very good). The beef was a bit hard but had a nice flavor. Chicken was my least favorite and a bit dry. The kids had the beef burrito with a hard beef taco, side of rice and retried beans. We also ordered a side of sliced avocados. They pretty much demolished the dish. Nice little spot in Hampton, actually it's a nice Gem! The food was hot and fresh. The drinks were at a GREAT price and cold! The fajitas were good and sizzling. The only thing that I didn't care for was the chorizo cheese dip, the cheese was watery and didn't coat the chips. The chips are thick so the cheese would have been a great addition. Absolutely love this little place. I was there the other day and ordered the Huevos Rancheros. While waiting for them, a young man hit my truck in the parking lot while backing out. My luck....so I went out there and got it taken care of with the Hampton Police Dept ( very kind officer). Upon coming back in, my Huevos were waiting for me. After the first bite, I forgot about the unfortunate incident in the parking lot. The food was delicious. 100% authentic. I am glad my friend Jordan suggested this place. I wanted to order a second set of Huevos, but had to head back to work. The place is humble, but clean. The shopping center is a little older but usually those little "holes in the wall" kind of places offer the most authentic and best food. That was the case with this Taqueria. We had dinner here a few days ago and absolutely loved it. The menu is huge, and the staff is very pleasant, the chips are served warm, and the salsa is well balanced and not too spicy. This could be overlooked, except they nearly sent my partner to the hospital by including an ingredient he specifically asked to be removed from his plate. As a final insult, it was far overpriced. Wow, this place is just bad... I mean REALLY bad! Wife ordered a rib eye steak for around $14 and it looks like the quality of steak served at waffle house. It is about 1/4" thick and order medium rare and is like shoe leather. I had the steak fajita salad ($10) with about 4 pieces of "steak" and hardly any lettuce. Best part of the meal was the Salas and mixed veggies the wife got instead of rice. Oh ya and $3 blue moon beer is not a deal. So, I guess that is something. read more

I noticed some non traditional menu items were available that I haven't seen available at other Mexican restaurants in the area. No! The food was not good at all. Mine wasn't seasoned and my mom's was burnt! My sister's was burnt and really dry! The fajita plates didn't even come with rice like usual Mexican restaurants. My dad was the only one who enjoy his meal. Plus, the corn tortillas were nasty! That's not even the worse part. For 4.5 people, our total was $70!! That is way too much.
