I can't say how much I love this place enough, but I really do. I spent the summer in this cute, small, and quaint town with the best restaurants and people. So the day I visited was my last day in Georgia. I was brought here to say my thank you and goodbyes. I say my thank yous and goodbyes because the town was so good to me. But why couldn't they bring me to this place sooner? We started with the nachos and dip. Now, being here in Griffin, I know what that means. It means their dip comes with homemade cheese with chunks of seasoned meat, which is the best. Of course, another favorite, a theme of the many restaurants in this town, is the Ceviche Cocktail. Of course, I ordered that here at Amigos. It's a giant goblet with a homemade salsa mixed with lime, onion, cilantro, avocado, radish, and Jumbo shrimp, and I mean the freshest of shrimp--the shrimp decorating the rim of the glass. The Ceviche is zesty, spicy, and full of flavor. It's a mouthful of deliciousness! Next, I ordered the fajita quesadilla as my main dish! It was the most seasoned and colorful dish. It came out sizzling. I could hear the sizzle, smell the aroma of the season in the air. It's a mixture of steak and chicken, so tender, with mushrooms, bell peppers, and more. The white cheese melted perfectly on top, bringing more flavor to an already good-tasting dish. I didn't even use the tortillas. It can be a standalone dish. Now, I do like tortillas, but I felt like the tortillas would make me full, and I didn't want that. I wanted to enjoy and eat it all. It was my last day here! The inside is beautiful; a lot went into the decor of this restaurant. It's a Mexican restaurant, and it felt like we were in Mexico. I love the music and the staff, and there was so much camaraderie among the staff and customers. We came after the lunch rush, and it was only a few of us here, and the staff treated us with the same care, checking up on us as if it were lunch hour. All in all, this restaurant is as basic as it gets. I wouldn't order anything with shredded chicken because they do not season the chicken at all. Like I don't even think they put salt on it. Also, I asked for Togo chips and salsa because they do have tasty salsa however I paid $7 (after taxes) for this..... the salsa cup was filled half way. With that being said the salsa isn't THAT good. The margs are good and decent in price. read more

Alrighty..... We gave this establishment a shot this evening and it wasn't too bad. The waitress was very attentive and the food came out pretty quick. It's very clean on the inside, even the bathrooms. I ordered a dish called enchiladas Jalisco. It was 3 chicken enchiladas with rice and guacamole salad. They were good but could have been more juicy. The wife had a chicken breast that was butterflied and covered with chorizo, queso, and pineapple. She really enjoyed it. She also ordered sweet tea and a strawberry margarita. They are kinda pricey here and don't offer a la carte menu. May stop in future but won't break my neck. read more

I was very impressed with this place. We usually go to another Mexican restaurant down the street but, the last few times we went there we were unhappy with the food and service so we decided to give this place a try. This place was great. The service was fast and the woman was very friendly. The drinks were good and so was the food. They have a nice patio, the inside of the restaurant was cute and the bathrooms were very clean. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. We will definitely be going back. We even went during lunch rush on cinco de Mayo so we were expecting service to be slow since they were pretty busy but it wasn't slow at all. We were very impressed. read more

We always have the same waitress when we go and she takes great care of us. They always have great drinks and they have a nice variety of Mexican food you can't get everywhere. The food is great. If you are looking for good Mexican this is not the place. Even placing a drink order took 3 trips back to the table size,draft, type even after I specified all of these in my order. The place was dead and it still took 10min to get the drink after final table visit. We ended up leaving after we had our drink. Who knows how long the food would have taken. read more

However talks bad about this restaurant is also the person that goes and eats McDonald's on the regular. This restaurant is probably the best one I've been at in years. If you don't like to eat the food you order, then don't order it in the first place. And also don't get mad at the waiters they are only human. If you are so perfect you could probably cook your own food. Come and try the food for yourself, because I was satisfied with the food and the service. We waited 45 minutes waiting for food. The owner was out of town and apparently his brother was the manager on duty, however, he wouldn't come speak to us about our problem. The waitress felt bad and was embarrassed. They weren't even busy. We tried multiple times to speak to the manager but he wouldn't show his face. The question is what do you want your crumbled unseasoned ground beef wrapped in? Food was bland rice undercooked beans cold. I ordered the chimi number 9 on the lunch menu. It was over cooked tortilla wrapped around some crumbled ground beef that has no seasoning. Came with rice beans some shredded lettuce a very small dollop of guacamole I mean very small dollop. A small amount of melted weird white American cheese poured on top. I ordered the sweet tea first glass came unsweetened it was bitter. They brought another year this one was sweet but had that old slimmy taste and mouth feel. I asked how old they said today, very doubtful maybe mixed with old tea. Lunch chimi 8.50 tea was 2.25 not really a cheap lunch but made with cheap ground beef all of it from the chips they set on the table to my lunch and the person I was with lunch was underseasoned and over cooked. All three items they ordered was a tortilla wrapped around the same ground beef. Don't waste your time or your money. Unless you like bad food. None of what we had was authentic Mexican or even good or fresh tasting. Just don't go. It's not worth the price and the food is nasty tasting. I didn't nor did the person I was with eat more than 2 bites. Talked to another couple outside they asked omg was your food as bad as ours? Yes yes it was just don't go. Best advice I can give you is go to taco bell this place makes taco bell look awesome. read more

My recent visit to was not good. This restaurant continues to get worse with each visit. When we arrived almost every table in the restaurant had dirty dishes just sitting there--during our hour there noone even attempted to clean the tables. Our food came out and they were still saying that we are washing silverware? Our food was out for over 5 mins before we finally received silverware. The manager was standing at the bar the entire time looking at her phone, she didn't attempt to help with the situation. The cook does a good job, food is prepared well- but Margaritas lack alcohol.
