Grabbed a bite before a musical over at the Legacy Theater…read more You know in this day and age when most people do takeout it was surprising to see what a bustling eat in business they were doing. They're fast and efficient, the salsa's fresh the chips are crisp. They're accommodating to changes that you would like.... Like I substituted beans for rice and a chicken Verde enchilada for a regular chicken enchilada on my combo plate. The chicken quesadillas are huge. And be aware that the fajita carnitas is not cut up. I can't wait to go back and try the Heurvos Rancheros for breakfast. I'm not a big fan of refried beans, but theirs were delish and my memory of the best Heurvos Rancheros I ever had was on top of delicious refried beans that were fresh.

We had a table of 7 people and our server was very attentive and he knew the three local people that have been here a number of times before. All the food was delivered hot and attractive. My tilapia grill came with six grilled shrimp, rice and an avocado salad. My fish was a bit greasy due to grilling a bit too long and it was really crispy . My wife's fish tacos served with rice and beans was more than enough for her and she stated that it was good overall, this can be a friendly service good place to dine.

Everything was great…read more Stopped in for an early dinner on a Friday. We were seated quickly and our server got our drink order. It appeared that the single bartender was overwhelmed as our drink order took longer than it should have, but we finally got our drinks. The chips and salsa were better than many other Mexican restaurants. Our food arrived quickly and looked great. Everything had great flavor. The beans that came with my meal were outstanding. We will return.

Knowing this family of restaurants and their culinary inspired gastro treats, I wasn't sure what to expect.. It is challenge innovate Mexican while also not bastardized favorites. 2 I didn't try any of the specialty cocktails but definitely will look next time. Now that I know the kind of delectable creations this group makes, worth experimenting!. 3 It wasn't a 5* experience because of the service. I think our waiter was brand new to being a waiter. He wasn't engaging, attentive, or accomodating. I arrived a few minutes after the rest. They had put orders in... The waiter came to the table several times bringing napkins or another menu... Ignoring me and my thirst. Once I got served I was better. 4 But then when I ordered food to go to eat for dinner at home.... He charged a 20% tip... Saying it was the group service tax. I protested that wasn't fair or right. I paid for my drink separately with the 20% and everybody else had food there and actually had service. He had forgotten to put in my to-go order so I actually had to order and wait until after everybody had left and they had cleared the table to get my to-go order and he still charged me 20% to to go dinners. His excuse was that it was the computer and there was nothing he could do about it. I CALL BS ... Somebody who actually cared about creating a good service experience for a large group, particularly ones that many of them had never been there before. Would not arbitrarily charge 20% on it to go burrito, And not even trying to get a credit off of it to the manager. The more I think about it, the more I think I should just give him three stars.

Large crowd came just as we were wrapping up. Restaurant is nicely decorated in authentic Mexican designs. We enjoyed their homemade chips and salsa while having our beverages and waiting for our food. I didn't have any alcoholic drinks so I can't comment on them but the selections on the menu sounded delicious. The chips were light with a nice crunch just the way I like it. My friends commented the spicy and mild salsa were flavorful. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp Fajita which came out sizzling hot and tasty - seasoned well. I substituted rice for fries and a traditional salad - no guacamole or pico de gallo. My friend's Pineapple Fajita was not only cool looking but also tasty from the few bites I tried. Our other friend enjoyed his steak tacos. Overall it was a great experience. I unfortunately forgot our server's name who was extremely nice. She was familiar with the menu and gave me perfect recommendations along with making substitutions. We all appreciated her timeliness with checking on us and offering refills. Her excellent service made our experience even better. Highly recommend them whenever in the mood for good Mexican food.

Extremely Disappointed - Worst Dining Experience I've Had…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Sabor in Fayetteville was disappointing from beginning to end. It started the moment we walked in. There was no warm welcome or greeting from the staff. We later discovered a very small sign on the front door stating they were not serving alcohol. No one mentioned this when we were seated. We didn't find out until we started ordering drinks. While there technically was a sign, it was small and easily overlooked. A simple heads-up from the hostess would have gone a long way. We almost left, but decided to stay because we were hungry. Our server, Liz, never introduced herself. She simply began taking orders until we asked for her name. Throughout the meal, she was not warm, friendly, or engaging. Her demeanor made us feel like providing good service simply wasn't a priority. When I asked what type of fish was pictured on the menu, she said she didn't know. I asked if she could check with the kitchen. She seemed reluctant to do so, but eventually returned and simply said it was "blackfish." That wasn't very helpful, but I ordered it anyway based on the recommendation. We also ordered the house dip, which arrived without a serving spoon. When my mother-in-law asked for one, Liz returned with an oversized pot-stirring spoon that was much larger than the serving bowl. We then requested small dishes for sharing, and they came out soaking wet, requiring us to dry them ourselves. Once our food was delivered--by the robot, not our server--we never saw Liz return to ask if everything was okay or if we needed refills, condiments, or anything else. Basic table service was completely absent. The biggest issue came at the end of the meal. We had six people and requested our checks be split into two family groups. The bills were incorrect, and my in-laws were charged separately in a confusing way. After questioning the charges, we believed everything had been corrected. The next day, however, my father-in-law noticed an additional $76 had been charged as a tip on his card, even though his bill was less than $50. When he called the restaurant, he was told that he had authorized that amount as the tip, which he adamantly denies. After he informed them he would dispute the charge with his bank, management agreed to refund the money. I understand restaurants can be short-staffed or experience operational issues. I also understand businesses go through challenges. What is difficult to overlook is the complete lack of communication, inattentive service, poor attention to detail, and the confusion surrounding the final bill. This was, without question, one of the poorest restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time. I sincerely hope management invests in better customer service training and tighter oversight of billing procedures so future guests don't have a similar experience. Based on our experience, I would encourage others to carefully review their bill and credit card receipt before leaving the restaurant.

The owners know how to pack a lot into a small space, haha. The workers here were friendly and very helpful. I was a little confused about ordering and paying and the woman upfront was eager to help. She was super nice. I'm used to paying up front if we don't have a designated server but here you order at the kitchen, grab your drink, enjoy your food and pay before you leave or while you're waiting. I will know for next time :) The food was awesome. I LOVED the birria tacos. My friend and I shared them. The meat was cooked perfectly, cheese was plentiful (the way I like it for sure), and the consumé was flavorful. My friend had the chicken quesadilla. She said it was a little on the boring side but still good. We shared the beef empanada and both enjoyed it. I like that they "dress it up." Everything was fresh and made to order The order came out fairly quickly! There is lots of parking available. I liked the community feel inside. The food is authentic and very affordable. I will 100% be back.

I ordered the carne asada burrito, which came with beans, rice, and lettuce. The flavors were great, but I would have liked a little more meat. Most of the carne asada seemed to be concentrated in one half of the burrito, leaving the other half with very little. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would come back.
