The cantaloupe was my favorite, having that juicy, sweet taste associated with the fruit. I'm typically not a huge fan of cantaloupe, but this one was so good, even having little chunks of the fruit inside!! I also liked the ube scoop: the flavor was more-subtle, but I think it's because they use real ube to make it, instead of artificially-flavored. Made for a lightly-sweet, slightly-savory and earthy experience which I enjoyed. Ben Scoops really surprised me in taste and quality. Solid ice cream with interesting flavors to try. I definitely want to return to try more flavors out!

And then she said it would be another $7, I was in a hurry, so didn't really put too much thoughts into it, and just charge it. So now I look at my charges, so it turns out the same serving, one is at $7.35 and the other is $7. When I get the ice cream, I asked her, so there nothing that is smaller than this. She said there is, but not in a waffle cone, it will be extra with a waffle cone. So I asked $2.50 in a regular cone and additional $3.50 for the waffle cone? She said yes!! I am still confused as to whether they have a smaller serving than small and how much it is. I check on the pricing people posted here and don't see a $2.50/$3.50 smaller size showing. It remains a mystery to me, and I really wanted to know as it will be a hot summer, both my elderly parents, who are diabetic, would probably asked for ice cream, and I really don't want them to have a small each on their own, since it is still a decent size and they don't like the same flavor, so they can't really share a small one.

The freeze consist of 4 scoops of their sherbet, sorbet or Italian ice along with a whole bottle of Sprite. Once in a while, Brusters will have special nights when they do $4 freezes and this was exactly how i got to try my first freeze. The freezes are quite the deal and treat for the summer. They are so refreshing and tasty. I chose to get a peach freeze and enjoyed it a lot. My friend got a black raspberry freeze and this was also quite tasty. For four scoops of a sherbet, a freeze is definitely a treat and an indulgence! I think I may have found my new favorite treat at Brusters.

Another gentleman working there even confirmed that they still had it available. When I questioned it, instead of simply explaining the situation, the employee helping us seemed unwilling to make it and gave us attitude. I also asked to sample a couple of other flavors since the item we originally wanted was supposedly unavailable, and her attitude made the whole interaction even more uncomfortable. I completely understand that places run out of items and employees can have difficult days, but this didn't seem to be an availability issue when other customers were being served the exact same thing. It felt like we were simply being refused service for something that was clearly available. We came in expecting a quick, enjoyable ice cream stop, and unfortunately left feeling singled out and disappointed.
