La Michoacana could be the place to be for your late night Mexican food. The food here is decently priced. This time, I ordered tacos with buche, cabeza, and lengua. The buche was hands down my favorite--perfectly tender and flavorful. I also had the menudo, which was loaded with tripe and seasoned just right. I sent it back to get reheated because I prefer my menudo piping hot, and the staff had no problem accommodating my request. The horchata I ordered was creamy and refreshing, the perfect balance to the savory dishes. The service was excellent. The lady who took our order was incredibly kind and likable--she really made us feel taken care of, which is always a big plus. The ambiance is great for casual dining, whether you're stopping in with friends or grabbing a late-night bite solo. Based from my recent visit, I would recommend La Michoacana.

I loved this place back when I used to live in the apartments behind it. It was very basic back then. It used to be open 24/7 and I'd come here late at night for a good taco. They have really fixed the place up but the food is just as good! The staff are always friendly even though they can tell I'm just another white girl. I love coming here the prices are reasonable and the food is great! Definitely recommend trying this place out!

The tacos here are delicious. The meat is tender and flavorful. Usually I get the asada, carnitas, &/or the pastor. They have an open salsa bar for red and green salsa as well as limes and pickled veggies. The service is friendly. You order at the counter and they call your number to pick it up when it's ready. There's a pretty mural on the wall by the salsa bar. Sports playing on the tv, and a small arcade area.

Quesabirria tacos for the win. The standard was set here for Reno a long time ago and I'm SO happy to see it still in business! Street tacos, desserts, you name it. They have it all. Don't expect a sit down experience where a server comes to your table. This is more of a cafeteria style where you order, park it and grab your salsas, and wait for them to call your name in the window. I love it, because its authentic, cheaper than most food experiences these days, and the food quality is above average. Enjoy!

The tacos are very good, the wet burrito and torta are some of our favorites. Been going to here over a decade, love introducing coworkers to the variety of apps and entrees. For friends visiting from out of town, this is one of our favorite places to take them for the experience. Staff has always been great, men's restroom just needs a little love!

I like how this place is open for 24 hours. The service is very great along with the ambiance of the restaurant. There is a lot of seating, and there's a good amount of people that come in. I would say the prices are fair, especially the super burrito. The meat lacks a bit of seasoning and can be dry, but in terms of a good midnight meal, I would say to give this place a try to satisfy your taco craving.

So I was headed to Olive Garden ... but I think it was really wanting something else and earlier that day hey buddy, I find asked if I've ever tried La Michoacana. I said no, but let him know that and I have been hearing about this mysterious place for years and I never knew where it was - when he said Olive Garden parking lot in down south Virginia I decided to go and get that and you know certainly I come into the parking lot for a different entrance and there it is so I put Olive Garden to the side and gave this place a chance. There was a freezing cold night and I did not wanna be out lat there te. This is why I was going to get carb heavy pasta ... was feeling like I needed to hibernate. However I'm so happy I changed my mind and try this place first before going in. I looked on yelp and Google and looked at the reviews and saw the menu which I don't know why but Google had like 10 different pictures of the hour sign and they're all different confused on if it was even gonna be open, but it was I went in and it smelled delicious fresh spicy jalapeño aroma that make your nostrils open up and say hello I just got three Carne Asada tacos to go based on one very simple online recommendation. The cost is way less than Olive Garden and and the time to get my food was faster too. let's not you know pretend that there aren't 100 other types of restaurants like this around the Reno Sparks area. Yeah, what makes this place better and worth the drive across town to ensure you've been here at least once? I moved here in the year 2000 and since living here I've heard about this place countless times from strangers to friends, and I can't believe that it took this long to actually figure out where it was and try it. It has been a staple for those around Meadowood Mall for many years and now I know why I am so excited to go back to try the other meats they have and other specials

The lady that helped me was an angel. She was super nice and gave me a rundown of what was in the birria cuz I have a sensitive stomach but it was sooo good and the champurrado I gotta say might be the best in town.

WoW. We're so disappointed today. Everything has changed. They no longer have Flan. I wouldn't reduce the stars for that. But the Huevos Rancheros are totally different. They are NOT served with ANY sauce at all. Just dry chopped peppers. And I ordered the eggs cooked as LITTLE as possible. And they came with broken yolks cooked totally hard with browned crispy egg whites. I also asked for sauce on everything including the beans. The beans were dry and not seasoned. Just nothing like it used to be. I think we may have a language barrier. She obviously heard me. I repeated it twice. She even went to the cook to explain the cooking. I just think she doesn't understand the difference between little and lot. I suppose if you speak Spanish it will be different. But if you do not, beware. I doubt we will return. (:-(

First off, huge shoutout to the staff at both locations. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a group of about 12 showing up and ordering at different times, plus another large party there, and they handled it all really well. The patio has such a great Midtown vibe, and I'm always happy supporting local small businesses. We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Tacos are always subjective, but I'd absolutely recommend giving Ana's a try because there's something for everyone on the menu. The cocktails are fun too, and I'll definitely be back.

Upon walking in,I was impressed with the patrons, this was a no frills crowd who looked like they were all in on a secret that this place was going to be a really good foodie spot. This is one of those spots where u walk up and order at the counter and they bring your food out to you.I loved the decor as you can really tell the owners are proud of their Jalisco roots. As an added bonus-I do tend to like taquerias that have pics of the menu items on the walls-always been a good luck charm for me that the place would be pretty good. We ordered a few things-A Super Burrito with Al Pastor($13.50)-it was pretty tasty-way way filling-killed my buzz totally-which I guess was the goal-I'd order it again for sure.We Also got a Shrimp taco($5)My wife is from Jalisco,so kinda picky with her Mexican food but she thought it was pretty tasty-one of the most flavorful tacos she has had in a long time.We also got the 2 enchilada plate with ground beef and chicken($15.50)-This dish came with rice and bean-I really liked the rice quite a bit and beans went well with the chips because of the added cheese on the beans. One thing I didn't love was the fact that you had to pay for chips and salsa-I'm sure I'm just spoiled from all the places that gives those out for free but I guess that's the way it goes-pretty sure it was like $3-no biggie. In closing-if u ever find yourself in Reno and u want something other than the commercial stuff they sell in the casinos-I would highly recommend walking across the street from Silver Legacy and walk into this little hole in the wall hidden gem of a restaurant and enjoy yourself a taste of Jalisco -you won't be disappointed.

I was also shocked by how much duck they loaded up the duck confit taco with. That was probably my second favorite. Super tender duck with tons of flavor.
