We recently had my daughter's birthday party at La Mode Nails. The owner was very kind and welcoming. We started the party at 4:30 and the owner told me we were welcome to stay as long as we liked. There was no extra charge to host a party. The owner tried not to accept other clients during our party time as well. They had a small table for us to set up food. We ordered pizza from Little Caesars just a few doors down. Super convenient. (There's also subway and a bubble tea place in the same plaza.) Parking is small and might busy during certain hours but our birthday guests had no problems. My daughter and her friends loved every minute of their mani and pedi experience. All the technicians did a great job making the kids feel special and pampered. Thank you La Mode Nails for making my daughter's birthday party so much fun. We will be back again! read more

We recently had a mani pedi party here for our moms group and La Mode Nails did a fantastic job on execution of our event! Nima did a great job coordinating her staff so that our group of 18 ladies were all happily serviced with lovely manis and/or pedis! She let us stay as long as we needed to and kept her doors open until 9:15pm for us! We brought our own food and drinks as Nima setup a table for it. They also gave a nice lotion gift for each person with coupons which we'll definitely use for our next visit! I have gone 4 times to this new salon. They offer no-chip and include nice spa touches like massage and aroma therapy free. Even the removal of the old no-chip is free, which I have seen nowhere else since it is a time consuming job. The prices are great, with coupons and a frequent buyer program. The manicures last many weeks with no lifting of the polish. They know how to do a professional job. read more

While the staff may be nice and friendly, I would not recommend this place. I had gotten a dip mani and regular pedi. The dip was $5 off since it is new to the salon and they are still learning so it was $30. After my nails were done, they were very sheer and you could see through the color since they didn't put enough coats on. They told me to schedule an appointment to come back that week to fix them. I scheduled an appointment and they said to get there early if possibly and not to be late. I was early and they sat me in a chair and after waiting about 10 minutes, they told me they are too busy and don't have time for me. Recommended I go to the other location. It turned out they double booked me. I never got my nails fixed and paid $60 for my mani and pedi to chip within a few days. Within 3-4 days, my nails had already chipped or the polish had come off completely. Dip should last 2-3 weeks without chipping. Additionally, my toes chipped within a few days. I've never had a mani/pedi chip this fast before. I will not be going back. read more

This place is great! I've got a ton of nail salons near me in Skokie, but I went out of my way to La Mode because of their rave reviews and it was worth it. The technicians worked fluidly with each other and were attentive to what I needed. Got the no-chip and it looks fantastic. Love that they have a punch card too. Parking can be a bit tight because they are located in a strip plaza with very few spaces for too many businesses. Other than that, I will be back! read more

This was by far the best manicure I've ever had. They have a lot of extras included that other salons don't do like a very good hand, shoulder and back massage. They have free reward programs that other salons don't have and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is definitely my new place to go. I got a free manicure coupon in the mail and I gave this place a try (because who says no to a free manicure?) and I was incredibly pleased with the service here. The nail technician spent at least an hour on my nails and was incredibly sweet. She cut my cuticles with care and didn't cause me to bleed at all, unlike many other salons. The place was really clean and the warm neck pillow, towels, and hand/neck/back massage felt AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back for other services here! I'm so happy I went! read more

The service was really poor. They didn't scrub my feet or my hands and they were speaking in a different language and I could clearly tell they were talking about me and my daughter. The had a bad attitude and ignored the things I said about what I wanted. Miki was one of the girls and she didn't do my manicure properly because she didn't fully apply color on the nail and it wasnt even near my cuticles. My pedicure was also very badly done. I got a French pedicure and she didn't clean up the edges very well and the only polish applied on the toe nails was the white line. There was no top coat or base coat. Overall the service was awful and the actual nail painting was very bad as well. read more

As an update, this is the first pedicure I've had where all of the nail polish has chipped and started coming off after 1.5 weeks.

I don't know if Miki was new but I was super disappointed. I had someone last time who was great. This time I did not get my cuticles cut, the nail polish I had on before was still there on the nail, so my beige is more of a red, pink washed out color. Also some of the sides of my nails seem to only have one layer, like she forgot to pain over it again. They were rushing to finish even though I came an hour and a half before closing. Nothing worse than leaving the nail salon and not loving the final product. read more

I just wanted a pedicure, I want to say she was the owner, she kept rushing the girls, I'm sorry but I understand it's a busy time but know how to manage your nail techs. Don't have one stop a manicure to fill up the water for my pedicure and end up burning my feet and the tub almost overflowing as well as her cleaning the areas of other nail techs. Let her finish what she's doing with her customer. The over all pedicure was eh. None of my nails were cut evenly; some too short and some too long. for the experience and the pedicure I got done i think I definitely won't be back to this place. Not worth it. read more

If you don't mind people taking 2 hours to do your nails and then practically kicking you out of the pedi chair BEFORE The pedi is finished. The third strike was that she put your face in front of mine to see into my billfold. It was all I could do not to say, "Little mam. Are you nut cake?" I went to La Mode Nails because my daughter recommended it. Had a pedicure a week ago and it still looks amazing. Service was great. My pedicure came with a complimentary back rub - in addition to the usual leg and foot massage. Massage chairs are wonderful and they also put a warm pillow around your neck. The magazines are all current issues - unlike some places I've been to where the magazines are months or years old. Service is great and the staff is friendly. The place is very clean and prices are reasonable. They also have some great coupon deals. In town for a hockey tournament and found this gem. Phenomenal service and very comfortable, clean atmosphere. Owner greets everyone by name and takes time with each customer.
