My husband & I shared the Trio Molcajete for 1 and a cheese quesadilla. The Molcajete for 1 is more than enough food to share. We ended up taking home leftovers of both dishes. Let's break down the food step by step: 1-Chips & salsa & chorizo bean dip starter....so good! We've never had the bean dip before and it was delicious! The chips were hearty perfectly salted and the salsa was fresh and full of flavor! 2-Molcajete was the star of the show for sure! Marinated chicken, carne asada beef, and delicious grilled shrimp, nopales, cooked serano peppers, giant grilled green onions and slice of white cheese-not sure what kind maybe mozzarella, & some fresh avocado. The bubbling salsa in the middle was bursting with flavor. Came with a scoop of rice & beans and 6 warm heavenly in house made corn tortillas. Oh my stars were they good! ALL of it was a 10 out of 10 recommend! 3-Cheese quesadilla was good but I would have actually preferred it with slightly less cheese and grilled a little longer. It was STUFFED w cheese! No complaints on the generous size. It also came with some rice & beans, some roasted salsa & some fresh guacamole. So much food, so much flavor, such great service, warm authentic atmosphere & music, and unbelievably priced for the amount of food served. I am only sad we hadn't discovered it sooner. The seafood is as fresh as it can be not being ocean front but again, the plates we had were just good. Customer service is good as well but could use just a little more pizazz as in some liveliness type of vibes for such a nice place. Some of the servers have what it takes, but there are a few of them that just don't deserve the same great tip that most expect in this restaurant and Service Industry City. Servers need to get there shit together everywhere, because many people that eat at many of our city restaurants are starting to say screw the 15,18,20 or whatever percent is recommended. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a fun atmosphere and friendly staff, then we were immediately seated in a cozy booth with a window view. My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas! That's after 30 years here. We used to go to the location near lamb, but excited to see this location open closer to my house. The Cadillac margarita is my favorite, the spicy level of food is Mexican level - be aware-- they don't F around and I LOVE SPICE. This is authentic to Mexican spice level. The langostinos el Rey is salty, citrusy, and in your face flavor. The Agua chile is fantastic - add avocado, the Coctel and molcajetes are amazing, ask for the habanero sauce to really make you sweat. So many waiters just busting their butts to move food quickly. The fresh tortillas ARE A MUST HAVE! Dinner is very busy, be prepared for wait times. They are open for breakfast now, excited to try the menu. read more

We have been going here for a long time. It used to be really good. Now it feels like a money grab. They have a Molcajete bowls and I asked to substitute a meat and was told it would be $8 to change a meat. The entree is $28 so they were taking away one meat and adding another piece of meat and wanted $8 for it!! Unbelievable! Almost a third of the price to take away a meat and add another one. The service used to be great and now it's not. My steak fajitas were like chewing leather. The servings used to be generous but they're not now. The North Rancho Drive Location of La Mojarra Loca Grill is an Authentic Style Mexican Seafood Restaurant and Bar in the North/West Area of Vegas. It is very decorated inside with bar seating, tables, and booths. It is also energetic with LOUD Mexican Music filling the air. Short Story - Not perfect but REASONABLY GOOD Mexican Food and service. Extra generous servings and reasonable prices. Longer Story - For the first time in my life I found the menu extra hard to read so bring reading glasses if you have them. Whatever you order they start you off with complimentary chips and spicy salsa. We started out by trying Margaritas. They run sweet and fruity and don't taste strong but they do build up and turn out to be strong. I tried the garlic style fish plate. My waiter said that it was very good choice and said that one is always good. He was right no problems here. The fish was cooked nicely and was in a tasty sauce with garlic that also was prepared well and didn't taste too garlicky and was cut with citrus. I got rice and asked for mixed vegetables instead of beans. The vegetables were fresh and well prepared. The plate also had a salad garnish and tortillas were on the side. For me (and most humans) this also was an extra generous portion and might be two meals for most mortals. My husband tried the Molcajete Triol (chicken, beef, shrimp). It was a bubbling hot cauldron over flowing with all kinds of goodies (hot peppers, cactus, beef, shrimp, chicken, and a sort of spicy sauce) Tonight the chicken was one that was amazing. It was tender like butter and was infused with delicious flavors. My husband said that the shrimp were on the tough side and the beef tasted good but was chewy. This also came with hot tortillas. This was also extra generous in size. Even my husband who eats enormous portions had leftovers to bring home.
