We visited on Saturday, for lunch, with a party of four adults and three children and it was ok. We arrived and were seated in the back room, I believe that is where the issues began. If you are in the back room, expect to see the servers about half as often as if you were in the main dining room. There were extended periods where nobody checked on us, dishes piled up and drinks were left empty waiting for refills. We started with Taquitos Dorados and Elote. Well, that is what we ordered, the Elote was never delivered. From there we went with Enchiladas, Taco Salad, Steak Ranchero, and Red Snapper. The food was well prepared and tasty. The kids meals were brought out incorrectly, with cheese added to a hamburger ordered without. The service was not up to their normal standards, probably because we were in the back room. My daughter and I decided to try Lindo Michoacan at Centennial Center for lunch, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience overall. The atmosphere was nice, and everyone we interacted with was friendly. The complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip were okay--not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. The salsa did have a nice kick and good flavor. I ordered the Morelia (Combo #1), which comes with a chile relleno, chicken enchilada, and beef taco. The menu didn't mention that the chicken enchilada would contain shredded chicken. Had I known, I would have substituted for grilled chicken or chosen a different protein altogether. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and difficult to eat. I managed only a couple of bites before moving on to the chile relleno, which was just average. I've definitely had much better elsewhere. The crunchy beef taco was actually pretty decent and ended up being the best part of my entrée. As for the service, everyone was pleasant, although there was a bit of a wait before someone took our order. Once ordered, however, the food arrived quickly. Overall, while the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was enjoyable, the food simply didn't justify the price. For the quality of the meal, I found it overpriced and underwhelming. I've been working so much, finally having a day off we just wanted to eat out and BOYYYY did Lindo Michoacán come through!!! Our server (I believe his name was Fernando!) was absolutely incredible! There was also an extra host/waitress that was on top of it when it came to getting our dirty dishes away, making sure our drinks were filled! We were seated pretty quickly and served salsa and chips as an appetizer with refried beans and sopa de fideo, which I loved. I ordered a skinny margarita. I was really worried it was going to be too sweet, but it was just right. We ordered the queso fundido with chorizo and ate it so fast because it was too good. We had none leftover. For my meal, I ordered the camarones a la diabla with a side of rice and beans. Thats usually what I order when I see it on a Mexican menu. My boyfriend ordered the burrito. Cinco de mayo was rocking here. We arrive at the 4pm hour and there was a short wait. Mariachi band circulated throughout the restaurant. All hand were on deck as the staff was polite and efficient. I got the veggie fajitas. They were good with good char on the veggies but too oily for my taste. My husband got some enchiladas verde and they looked like a great choice. I visit Las Vegas often and am always looking for new places to try. Lindo Michoacan was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. This is a family owned establishment with more than one location. The restaurant is nice; great decor, clean, roomy and inviting. They started us with chips, salsa and refried beans which I loved. I ordered the Steak Fajitas. What I really appreciated is that they had dinner sized entrees as well as lunch portions. I ordered the lunch portion as it was smaller. The fajitas were amazing! The meat was juicy and the sides were fresh. My dining partner ordered the tacos, which I tasted and they were also really good. They make most things from scratch and you can see in the back where they make their own tortillas. The service was great/friendly and the price was good as well. This was our first visit since we moved back to LV. The decor looks the same, but the place appears clean and well maintained. The menu is slightly different, but many items still remain. The waiter took our drink orders and returned a short time later with warm chips, hot bean dip, a nicely spiced salsa, a small bowl of fideo soup, and our drinks. The starters were all as we remembered. Since we had decided on our selections, the waiter took our orders and returned to the kitchen. I selected the grilled fish tacos, and my husband picked the skewered NY chunks. The meals took awhile to come out, but the waiter kept our glasses filled and our chips refreshed. My orange roughy tacos were tender but slightly over cooked and over salted, but they were decent. I was happy to see the refried beans had been replaced with properly cooked, whole pintos, but the nicety was short lived because they, too, were extremely salty. Unfortunately, the rice didn't save the meal because it was quite bland, and the kernels were over cooked. My husband's steak was grilled to the proper temperature and he enjoyed his meal, but only because he follows a carnivore diet and ate nothing else but the meat. He didn't have the pleasure of experiencing the salty beans and overcooked rice! All in all, our meals were just ok, but subpar from previous memories. Although we've only been gone for 10 years (we lived here 46 years prior,) a LOT has changed in the city, including this restaurant! It was nice to visit for the memories, but I think we'll explore some of the places that popped up while we were gone so we can make new memories, and we'll leave this one behind. read more

Two more visits here to try different offerings, and the rating remains high. Fresh tableside Guacamole was an excellent experience both times, and the last was probably the best-tasting tableside Guac I have experienced, prepared to my exact specifications regarding the quantity of individual ingredients. Cups of Fideo Soup were hot and stomach-warming. And, Queso Fundido was gooey and very good. Shredded Beef Tacos were small but excellent in taste, along with fine Refritos and exceptional Mexican Rice. A Bean & Guac Tostada was cool and crunchy. Diane liked the unusual Popcorn Shrimp, and French Fries were okay. But my reaction to Sizzling Shrimp & Chicken Fajitas was mixed. I liked the cooking of the Bell Peppers, Red and White Onions, and requested Tomatoes. But the shrimps and pieces of chicken were hard and not that juicy, and included sauce that was somewhat spicy and a bit bitter. Homemade Tortillas were thin and praiseworthy, and Tortilla Chips well made, as well. I found the Bean Dip to be smooth and addictive, but the Salsa more spicy and thin in texture than I prefer. Service was friendly, efficient, and responsive both times. Booth and table seating were both comfortable. And I enjoyed the colorful ambiance of Old Mexico found here. Placed a to-go order and ended up missing items. Unfortunately didn't realize till I had arrived home. When I did call back to the restaurant and asked about maybe refunding those items back to the card I was forced to use... charged an additional fee for using card, like I had a choice... only offered to remake the missing items and obviously have to drive all the way back over. read more

We purchased food to go for a friend who's been in a rehabilitation center for a few weeks who was absolutely disappointed that the center was not recognizing Taco Tuesday or Cinco de Mayo. Do we ordered a beef taco and a cheese enchilada for pickup. It was s bit more expensive than it appeared it would be from the ala carte menu showed as it ended up 15 dollars. But they also sent beans and chips and salsa and his happiness made it worth it. My wife who picked up the order said it was a really cute place and that service was friendly. Wonderful service tonight, came here after a bad experience at a different restaurant. We were greeted promptly and sat at the bar. Erika was awesome. She was polite and quickly took our drink order. Shortly after getting our drinks we ordered food and were playing some poker. She made sure on multiple occasions that we were doing fine. The video soup and chips and salsa they serve before the meal are so delicious it's hard not to fill up too soon and these are complimentary). We got the table side guacamole, which I highly recommend. They let you choose your spice level and there is enough to make sure you can enjoy the chips, their fresh tortillas, and your entire meal with that extra creamy goodness. I enjoyed the ambience and food at this Mexican restaurant so much that I ate there twice in one week (along with a friend). The decor is warm and inviting, with a cantina theme and plenty of large booths throughout. Meals begin with freshly fried tortilla chips, a bowl of mildly spicy salsa and a bowl of warm, cheesy refried beans for dipping. One night, I had the chicken fajitas, which were nicely grilled and tossed in a tangy chile-based sauce along with the grilled onions and peppers. The other night, I ordered Pechuga a la Perrilla, a simple baked chicken dish seasoned with lime juice, salt and pepper. I was pleasantly surprised when our wonderful server, Cesar, approached out table to explain that he had swapped my order for another dish (Pollo Napolitos) that included the same chicken preparation, but included sautéed nopales (cactus) on the side for no additional charge. That nopales side dish was absolutely delicious. Service both nights was excellent, but I was especially impressed with Cesar, who really took care of us and made us feel like we were his only customers. read more

I don't know if all the booths are in need of repair but the booth we sat at had busted up springs and was very uncomfortable on both sides so you might be better off requesting a table. Whatever you order they start you off with complimentary chips, spicy salsa, and refried beans. Most of the entrees also come with Fideo Soup. I also tried a Cadillac Margarita in the large size. WOW it is very strong. It's the strongest margarita in town. You might not be able to drive after drinking one. For dinner I had the Pollo Al Mojo De Ajo (chicken in white wine, garlic, guajillo pepper) with rice and special order mixed vegetables this also came with house made tortillas). It didn't have much guajillo in it but still was very good and was also an extra large serving that might be 2 or 3 meals for some people. My husband enjoyed the Steak Piccado. Fantastic in every way!!! Upon entering we were greeted immediately by the friendly hostess and immediately seated. Our server was Martin, he was by far one of the best servers we have experienced. Surprisingly we were given chips and bean dip and salsa. The bean dip was delicious. The salsa was spicy for my taste but the flavor was on point. We were also pleasantly surprised that our orders came with a cup of Fideo, which was so good! I ordered from the vegetarian section of the menu. I ordered the taco de aguacate and was vey happy with my choice. My hubby ordered the shrimp tacos (grilled, he had a choice of grilled vs fried). He has so much shrimp in his tacos he was trying to give me some. My son ordered a chimichanga with carne asada and shredded chicken. He couldn't stop raving about it. We have been to this restaurant and ordered out many, many, many times. A couple weeks ago we ordered lunch here... 3 people got sick!!! The manager told my team member who placed the order and picked it up that she would not do anything and she did nothing! I politely called the owner and he said he would need to investigate. He called back and said they had not had any other complaints. One of our team members put the red sauce all over her taco salad, so she really did not notice the taste being off. I explained to the owner how sick all three people got... She was so sick she was up all night and I won't describe her experience, but it sounded brutal. She could not work the next day as she had been very sick snd up all night. My husband was sick as well and after eating he threw the red sauce out. He said it tasted very acidic. He has a strong stomach and almost never gets sick. The other team members said it was the red sauce and she usually likes their red sauce but she spit it out... She didn't have a good afternoon. I had their wedding soup I think they call it, which I love and a quesadilla and guacamole ... I did not get sick. The owner offered to replace 3 salads. We had ordered meals for 10 people. I did not take him up on his offer... Not a nice way for a business owner to treat regular customers for many years!!! read more

We had family members visiting, so we decided to go to the restaurant. My Mom has been here and said she wanted to go back. Upon entering you get a Mayan Indian vibe and there's a viewing window where you can see fresh tortillas being made. We got there as soon as the restaurant open, so there was no wait time in the service was wonderful. Now the food on the other hand, I would say it was average... I definitely was expecting better. I had the whole red snapper which was not seasoned at all soooo disappointing. My sister-in-law ordered the Carne Asada, which came about 15 minutes after everyone else's food and had an odor of sour beef so she sent it back. Overall, the experience was lackluster. Lindo Michoacan on W Tropical Pkwy is what I use to call my little hole in the wall place that I loved to go to for my to go orders. Now, it's just a place I would go to because I'm right there. I've been here several times for many years and in the beginning they were always consistent with my to go orders, but after the Pandemic, it went down hill. My orders were always missing something, the portions were less and less-never consistent. I would order their Table-side Guacamole, which is suppose to be freshly made as if you were sitting there in the restaurant and watching the server make it front of you. When I order to go, for the 12 ounce, it's not a full 12 ounce, about half that container, that saddens me, but what upsets me is the fact that most of the time it's not as fresh-looks like they took their regular guacamole they use for their side dishes, you know the mushy ones that has been sitting around a bit that's kinda getting dark. It looks like they would take that and just put it in the container, as if someone just didn't want to take the time and do the right thing with the order. So I just stopped ordering that. Now every once in a great while like today for lunch, I ordered to go. I ordered the Crunchy Shredded Beef Tacos and it comes with rice, beans, chips, and salsa. Their crunchy tacos were good. It's crunchy, great subtle Mexican flavors, not spicy with lots of shredded beef, lettuce and cheese. I also ordered their flan. This is a hit or miss. I'm a Flan Fanatic and I can't drive to Mexico, Texas or New Mexico to get my Flans, but anyways, Flans are suppose to be smooth & creamy, not a bunch of little holes in the entire flan which makes it unappetizing. I believe it takes a very patient and precise individual to make this delicate dessert. So I usually take a chance with their Flans because I can't help myself. Today was a great day for the Flan, it was absolutely delicious-just the right amount of sweet and it was smooth and creamy! All in all, the hostess I've come across is always very nice. Their to go orders have been inconsistent and at times disappointing. This is a place better to sit down inside the restaurant and eat your meal. Overall, was a nice place to eat. We went here around 4:30/5:00 pm on a Saturday and it was already pretty busy! You can tell the people were working hard and had a system to serve everyone. They were all very polite and professional. But it was a little noisy and busy for my taste. I think I might enjoy this place more during the off-meal times or on the weekday when it's a little more quiet. And the booth was a little bit squished for 6 adults. We needed just a little more space between the chairs and the table itself. Food wise, the portions were large and the food tasted good. Nothing to complain about there. Prices were what you'd expect from a sit down mexican restaurant. We got the kids enchilada, kids quesdilla, plus the fajitas and a burrito. Everything comes with beans and rice and there is free chips and salsa. Total cost was about $100 after tax and tip. Finally, parking is hard if you come during the busy time because the lot right in front of the restaurant is small, but next to it there is a large parking area. We eat at the Original Desert Inn restaurant 2-3x's a month, menu's extensive, drinks very reasonable , staff is delightful, decor is incredible, many museum quality specimens of Mexican art, take time to study all three rooms of the restaurant. Food is classic Michioacan style, generous portions, guacamole is famous, essentially all chips and tortillas made live in the middle dining room. Prices reasonable. Fellow patrons have always been pleasant. Give it a try, most people agree it's a keeper ( It's been at the present location since it was first built 1990-91. And then completely rebuilt and enlarged after it burned down.) Recommend reservations Friday and Saturday otherwise there is hardly ever a wait-it's a large restaurant-) read more

I went with my standard chicken taco and cheese enchilada combo. Crispy taco shell, packed full of juicy shredded chicken. Lots of cheese and lettuce gave it flavor and a fresh crisp. The enchilada with red sauce was cheesy and delicious. The rice and beans were well cooked and full of flavor. Seriously, one of the best Mexican food restaurants I've tried in a while. Although the staff is very friendly, the food barely passed for good taste. Not sure if the waiter took the order wrong or was just put it in wrong?I was halfway finished before my granddaughter received her fixed order. I mean, how do you forget chicken out of a chicken burrito? Asked for no sauce but came so wet it fell apart & Chicken was also very very dry. For $50 I expected a good meal. For one combo plate and one à la carte burrito:( water and one soda? I know things are getting expensive but it's not worth it for mediocre food. I will have to say goodbye :( read more
