This place is excellent! I had the large shrimp cocktail which I shared with my wife, it was delicious and had a good ratio of shrimp to avocado and vegetables. They gave us chips and salsa for the table, the salsa tasted fresh and was very yummy. I also had oysters for the first time, a scary experience, but they tasted so fresh it was amazing. The service was wonderful, my mom only speaks Spanish so it was nice to have such a helpful, friendly server who could make conversation with the whole table. The server was so good at explaining the dishes and even gave great recommendations. The place was empty, which has never scared me away from trying a restaurant, but they had good music, comfortable chairs, and even outdoor seating. They seem to have opened recently, so definitely check them out!

We came here for a late lunch and we were greeted immediately by friendly staff. We received complimentary chips and salsa. The chips had the perfect crunch and the salsa was fresh and spicy, yum! We ordered the garlic shrimp and Diablo shrimp entrees. They each came with rice, beans, and salad. The shrimp in each dish was cooked perfectly and each were delicious! Our server was super nice and told us about karaoke night and happy hour specials. It was a very nice, relaxed, and comfortable experience. We will be back and thank you!

Same great service as always and still the best seafood place in Vegas. Been to a few other seafood and this place is still the best. The staff is always amazing. The place has a Mexican cantina feel to it. Every item on the menu is a banger, haven't any bad here and I don't ever expect to. They actually care about serving good food in a family atmosphere.

If you're looking for amazing seafood, Mariscos El Ancla is the spot! Everything here is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The ceviche and shrimp dishes were absolutely delicious, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. What really makes this place special is the owner, El Güero. He's incredibly welcoming, friendly, and clearly passionate about his restaurant. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great experience, and that kind of service is rare. Great food, great atmosphere, and great people. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Mariscos El Ancla if you want authentic, delicious seafood!

If Mexican seafood is your passion, you must try this place! Authentically cooked food, family owned and operated. We ENJOYED a fantastic meal complete with a lime and strawberry margarita! The service was attentive and the food came out fast, hot, and well proportioned!! We were also blessed to meet Maria, one of the owners who also runs G.I.V.E. (Generosity Is Valued Everywhere) a mission she has with her husband. What a wonderful surprise while enjoying some fantastic food! We will definitely be back! Did I mention they also have Karaoke every Friday!!!

The food was amazing!! Very fresh and tasty. Margaritas were very good. You have to try! Our server Marina as well as the other staff were very nice and attentive. Not to mention they had a very clean bathroom. Definitely recommend and will be back when back in town.

Great spot for some mariscos! Service was on point as our server was friendly and continuously checked on us. The restaurant had music playing and the Toluca vs America game on. I ordered the camarones bravos, a taco governador and tried a taco de pescado. The shrimps were tasty and spicy. They had some bell peppers and Serranos in the sauce giving it a great kick. The rice and beans were a great compliment, both flavorful. The fish taco was crispy and the sauce that came on it was great. The governador taco was ok, Ilthe 2 tortillas felt a bit heavy and it lacked some cheese. I wasn't a fan of the sauce they served with it either. Overall, great spot!

This place has the most amazing seafood! There are so many unique dishes to try that it's hard to narrow it down. The high quality of food and the flavorful combinations are made with so many different seasonings and salts, it's hard to compare it to other seafood dishes. Everything had a good balance between and nothing was unsatisfactory. The service was amazing, and we were very surprise to see such an attentive owner in manager. She checked on us frequently but not in an annoying way. You could tell that she really enjoys interacting with the patrons of the restaurant. I love the ocean theme and the colors chosen are very inviting and it looks as if the owners have a rich history. I'm sad to say we have not gone back yet, but we will be going as soon as we are able. You cannot find this type of food just anywhere.

The place is diner like, with plenty loud music and clean. We were the only ones speaking English but felt very comfortable as the staff is very helpful. Service was quick for our Marlin tacos and bacon wrapped shrimp, which were tasty! Great chips and a hot salsa. Nice selection of Mexican beers and drinks, but no lemonade.

The green cevich is amazing. The best Ive had. You can literally eat this until you get sick. The waitress was very kind and even the owner stopped by to make sure everything is okay. As for the vibe here, this isnt your traditional Mexican or seafood feeling joint. I think they are still figuring out the layout here.

I had a horrible craving for mariscos, specifically ceviche, and thought I'd give this spot nearby a try. The reviews are great, but I was slightly disappointed. The interior is clean, the service was kind, and the owner checked in on us multiple times. Things that could use some improvement: -The waitress only talking to my brown friend in Spanish, while I was talking to her in Spanish and he barely knows any. Weird colorist energy. -The ceviche was mediocre. I had to use a lot of salt. Lacked seasoning. -I was hoping to get a bowl of ceviche and sides of tostadas, like most places I've been to in Mexico. Mainly to avoid the tostadas getting soggy, which they eventually did. -I asked for mayonnaise to be put on my tostadas because that's how we do it where I'm from. She offered to bring it on the side but not put it on the tostadas, making me do it. The dishes aren't very customizable to your taste. -I had to ask for water refills. Not very attentive. Highlights: -Fairly authentic. -All of the music was straight from my playlist. -The chicharrones de pescado were good, and the salsa that came with them too. -Lengthy menu with vegetarian options.

We visited on Tuesday for lunch with a party of five and it was a nice experience. We entered and were seated right away, being the only customers in the restaurant. The waitress stopped by and took drink orders, they have giant Modelos, with frosty glasses, yay. We started the order with appetizers; Oysters Exoticos, and Garlic Shrimp. Both were very good, but the shrimp did not arrive until all the entrees were served. From there we had Fajitas, Molcajete, Tostadas, a dish with chicken, beef, and shrimp (can't remember the name), and a kids quesadilla. All were piping hot, fresh, and tasty. Their toxico salsa packs a punch. The service was excellent. The waitress was friendly, prompt and professional. Refills were quick and plates were cleared efficiently. Overall, a great place for Mexican seafood.

It's about a 10-minute drive from the Strip, and I appreciated that they gave an estimated pickup time -- that was awesome. The place looks family-owned, nice and clean, and the hospitality from the staff was top-tier. Now for the burritos We ordered the El-Trio and the Bacon Burrito, and my goodness... these things are HUGE (and the prices is beyond reasonable). We split the bacon burrito between my wife and my high school athlete of a son (who usually eats everything but the kitchen sink), and he only made it through half of the El-Trio! That should tell you something. The burritos were flavorful and packed with meat. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked perfectly, which is such a plus. Honestly, by far the best breakfast burrito I've had. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because my bacon burrito had rice and beans in it, and that wasn't mentioned online. I'm not a fan of rice and beans in a breakfast burrito, so I wish I had known beforehand. Outside of that, please give this place a visit -- definitely a must-try. Sorry, no picture... we started digging in as soon as I opened the bag

During the day you might need to place your order by a stand by the entrance to the kitchen. After a few trips here since my last review I have to admit that this place is HIT or MISS. Honest it is like two different restaurants are in this one spot. All of my lunch visits were horrible. We've experienced the worst service ever and subpar foods. On my last visit we were the only customers in the dining room and we were too much trouble for our server to handle. It took her 25-30 minutes to serve us beverages and chips and salsa. When our meals finally arrived the meats were all dried out and tough in all of the tacos. My salad came out without dressing too. At the same time they had a few to go orders going on and all the people returned their food and asked for their money back. This is so tragic. We previously enjoyed the food and service here our last few dinners. The young male server gives outstanding service and so far the food has also always been good-great at dinner time. Lunch time visits were another story. On both lunch time visits we had female servers that have a language barrier and are not service people. They brought us subpar food too unlike what we tried here at dinner time. I am being generous leaving Asada three stars. I hope it's not too late for improvement. Hit or Miss

I debated between the torta and the tacos, but since this was our first date, I played it safe and ordered the carne asada tacos. At $3.25 each, they're street taco-sized in theory, but the mountain of perfectly seasoned carne asada spilling out of them told a different story. I actually had to ask for a fork just to finish what escaped onto the tray. The tacos came loaded with fresh cilantro and red onions and tasted far more gourmet than their humble appearance suggested. The red and green salsas were both excellent, but the real star was their pico de gallo-style salsa. It had a slightly fermented tang that instantly reminded me of kimchi, and I found myself putting it on everything. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last. Next time, I'm skipping the internal debate and going straight for the torta.

The carne lacked char, and was thickly diced. The pastor did not come with pineapple, and had a slightly chewy texture. The tortillas for the sopes were pretty good though. I thought they had a next bite to them, but the chicken that I ordered with them was very dry, and again lacked flavor. They were loaded with fresh cilantro, red onion, beans, queso fresco, and crema. My girlfriend really enjoyed your tripa tacos, but also stated that her asada taco was flavorless. Additionally, the salsa had no spice or flavor whatsoever. To end on a good note, the horchata here was particularly good. Probably one of the better horchatas in Vegas. - The service I had was also very subpar. The lady at the service window did not greet us when we walked up, and was not diligent or attentive when taking our order. - Finally, I'm really not sure if it was the truck or the area, but it smelled really bad. I was concerned that something was wrong, because it smelled almost like sewage (which it very well could have been, considering this is a food truck in a parking lot.) there's no seating, and they give you a buzzer to wait in your car for your food, which is a nice touch. Ultimately, I wish I could say I was happy I tried this place, but I did not enjoy it, and wish I would have taken my money elsewhere.
