I love this salon! I highly recommend it to everyone- those who are new to waxing or even people who have been to other places. The girls at this location are amazing. I have been to both Nicole and Candice and they are the easiest people to talk to. I am a baby when it comes to pain, and just recently tried the upper leg and Brazilian wax, and what should have been an uncomfortable experience was made so incredibly smooth (no pun intended) because of Candice. She is so real and down to earth. She also doesn't lie when she knows what she is about to do may cause some discomfort. But she is reassuring and doesn't judge. Nicole, is also equally amazing! She's super bubbly and fun to chat with while she cleans you up! I go to her every 2-3 weeks and she is just talented and amazing at what she does! I want to start by expressing I am in no way trying to get any of the technicians in trouble but more so express some concerns regarding the Brazilian wax services I received, especially on the latest one I had on Saturday, 08/12 at this Elmhurst Location. I have been getting Brazilian waxed on and off for the past 10 years and I am very familiar with the process, the length requirements, post care, pre care, etc. I moved to the Chicago land area a few years ago and found this company. While I like the type of wax used for the service and every technician has been beyond friendly, kind, and professional at the multiple locations I've been to I have to note the quality of the service has been a constant let down and disappointment that has led up to my need to make this review. I'm not sure if it's the training, or the budgeted time for the Brazilian waxes, but every. single. time. I've booked this service at Waxing The City I have had to go home and shave multiple areas that get missed. The first couple of times I figured maybe the technicians just missed some spots for whatever reason and got distracted, so I stopped the small talk chitchats, then I thought maybe I wasn't waiting long enough in between waxes, then I purposely requested different technicians thinking I was just getting unlucky, I have never been so frustrated by the constant missed areas from a wax. I should not have to go home and shave areas missed THE SAME DAY I GOT A FULL BRAZILIAN WAX. I would go to a different company if I had one closer to me but the proximity, and the type of wax were ultimately the reasons why I kept trying. I tried calling the Elmhurst office on Monday to speak to someone but no one was answering the phones, so I drove to the location hoping I would be able to speak to somebody about this and I noticed the space was closed. I arrived at 6:08 pm Monday 08/14. The website, and the Apple Maps page both sale Mondays the space closed at 7pm. This was the breaking point. The price and service are not worth it. I hope someone can take this feedback into consideration and hopefully provide additional training or more time if needed. Or at the bare minimum instead of having the technicians trying to upsell the products they carry maybe have them let the client confirm everything looks okay and nothing needs more attention before they walk out of the room. read more

The level of cleanliness makes getting my treatments done during these crazy times seem just like the "old" post COVID times.
