First time here and am so happy I found this little gem. My regular place was booked so ended up here with my friend and her 6 year old daughter. We all got pedicures plus a manicure fir the little. It was such a peaceful atmosphere, the service was superb especially with the little. Best pedicure experience Ive had in a long time locally (Lombard). I have been a client with Susan for the past four years and when I tell you, she slays my eyelashes every single time. wherever she goes, I will forever be a client and follow her. I expected a lot more than I got. The woman who did my fill/no chip was very inexperienced. She did my fill without filing down the top layer so my nails were very thick. She applied the no chip polish 3 times as well as a clear coat. When I got home I really noticed how bad they looked. The earliest I could go back for a repair was 2 days later. The polish had already begun to chip off several nails by then. When I returned for a fix they put me on the phone with the same person. She asked me to come back later that afternoon so she could fix it. I understand that no one working there that morning wanted to fix her mess, but to save business the manager could have helped out. I didn't have time to come back later that day nor did I want the same woman to attempt to fix her mess. So now they completely lost my business. And I had to go somewhere else to get my nails presentable. read more

I would not recommend this nail salon and will not be coming back. I left the photo I wanted up the whole time and it is far from that. I wanted the color blocking just like the Pinterest photo. I was told they didn't have clear nail polish for the French tips. Aside from it being far from what I asked, the quality is terrible. DO NOT GET EYE LASHES DONE HERE!!! They do not know what they are doing!!!! They do it improperly and with the wrong kind of glue. My sister in law got these on and three days later we were in an actual lash place getting them removed. Which cost a lot and took 2 hours. I'm going to report them to the BBB and county health department. It's dangerous to mess with your eyes like this with innapropriate glue and someone who doesn't know what they are doing. I normally love this place. Based on my recent experience, I was disappointed because I knew what they are capable of. The pedi lady knowingly left polish on the skin around my toes, but pretended to not see it. Not an enormous deal, it was minimal, but still, if I wanted a pedi with mistakes, I would do it myself. Then the mani lady spotted her own mistakes, but since I got gel, she asked if it was ok that it just remained. I didn't have enough time to wait for a redo, so I said it was fine. Truth is, they should have offered me a discount. I also have to say their loyalty program sucks. Every 5 punches on their card gives to $5 off. Anyone can see you have to spend around $200 to get $5 off with this deal. A free mani would better encourage me to stay and spend and would be like getting 10% off. At the end of the day 1 of 6 experiences being negative won't scare me from ever returning, but I will be looking for a place with a higher guarantee or getting what I pay for, for a low price, and better loyalty card. read more

I had a broken acrylic nail that I asked if they could repair (Wednesday afternoon). The lady said okay & I picked out the color. There were three available technicians. When I went towards them to sit somewhere, they ALL hesitated & the one told me she had an appointment coming in & that they usually only take appointments. Funny because I was referred there by someone who DOESN'T book an appointment prior to going in. If your not spending some decent money here, they will deny you service. No one asked if I wanted to make an appointment or come back later. I guess fixing one nail wasn't worth their time. I would have made it my go-to spot for nails & pedis considering I'm a client next store & around often. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I was really excited about trying out this place, since I just moved to Lombard and literally live across the street, but I am definitely never ever coming back there. I have been getting dip powder for months and I never had such a poor job done before like the one I got at this place. Although, I didn't ask for a manicure for my cuticles, the lady managed to hurt 6 fingers out of 10 getting one of them to bleed out really bad, the surface of my nails were super uneven and I literally got 4 different nail shapes. I am not here to bash anyone, but they need to get some training, the lady kept slightly "hitting" on my hands to brush off the powder like wtf??? I definitely am not coming back, not even to get the dip powder removed, and I do not recommend this place for dip powder. I had to reshape and file my nails myself when I got home. I feel like I should've said I was not gonna pay the full amount, since the lady hurt me multiple times, but I didn't want to be a Karen, so I just let it slide. read more

I tried a powder manicure for the first time here. It turned out nice but the price was higher than what I've seen at other salons in the area. Also got three different techs which is just a hassle and made the experience too long for my liking. Took off another star because 2/3 techs nicked my finger with the eclectic file more than once. They also cured my nails with a UV light which isn't required for sns dip manicures, not sure if they actually know how to do this type of manicure. I may go back for another service, like a $25 pedicure, because they have a punch card system. read more

Been here twice and won't go back. Only been here for a no-chip manicure. They rush you to pick out a color when you walk in. I wanted to yell "Chill out and let your client make a decision!". The lady that did my no-chip the second time I went was really rough of my hands, she let my fingers sit on the edge of the bottle of gel, even though I tried to move my hand away. She was very rough on my hands and the hand massage at the end was so rough my hands actually hurt. Trips to the nail salon are supposed to be a relaxing experience, this was not! Lilac Spa is NOT safe! They do NOT follow precautions for COVID! I made our appointment the day before and noticed photos online of technicians working behind plexiglass windows and when I arrived the tiny salon was overcrowded, masks below nose, customers sitting close to others and they had no barriers between tech and customer! They seem to take anyone that walks in! I told them we were leaving because I didn't believe they were keeping customers safe and we sought out a new salon. .....I Found an extremely COVID safe salon down the street named "Q Spa" that ) follows all COVID safe practices to keep you safe! (Distance between stations, masks worn properly, plexiglass windows between nail tech and clients, temperature taken at door. We waited in the car for our turn and I witnessed the owner even come out and clean door handles between customers! They did a great job on our manicures as well! read more

Went there to try it out for a pedicure. Not bad but definitely not the best pedicure I've had. I paid for the upgraded pedicure but I don't think it was worth it. If I go back, I'd just do the regular pedicure. The stones for the hot stone massage weren't hot. And I didn't notice anything else done differently than the person next to me who got a regular pedicure. I gave a higher rating because it was so clean and the staff was nice. read more

She did not file my nails down so they were very thick and uneven. She cut my cuticles multiple times with her filing machine and just laughed it off. The next morning almost all of my fingers have swollen cuticles and I'm just ready to rip off the nails myself. I tried to have someone paint them a different color and file them a little, but I still don't want to go out in public with these nails. I have received way better service for $25, so I'm not contributing this experience to the less expensive price for an acrylic set, but rather to the competency of whoever did my nails at Lilac. read more

I recommend taking your business elsewhere. This was the worst customer service I have ever received. I called to make an appointment and they asked how soon we could be there and I told her 20 minutes. We showed up 18 minutes later and they scheduled our appointment for and hour and a half later. So we sat and waited. When we finally got in our seats they did not remove our existing nail polish fully (started painting with cotton still stuck to our fingers), they did not cut nails evenly, they manhandled the crap out of our hands, and then did not even paint to the tips of our nails. After asking to fix these issues they then got upset with us... we ended up leaving mid service to get our nails completed somewhere else. While still paying for their cruddy service, they proceeded to tell us to get out. Would recommend Kelly's Nails instead. They took care of us very well. read more

I went here for the first time, and it was awful. They didn't have bad reviews online, but my experience was horrible--would give negative stars if I could. My fingers burn 4 days later because she filed my nails all the way down to the skin and was filing my skin off (after I explicitly told her to not touch my nails because I liked the length and shape). Not only did that happen, but my nails are crooked. The lady next to me expressed that her nails were burning while rapped in tin foil, but the nail ladies paid her no attention. So she took the foil off herself and realized they put alcohol instead of acetone on the second time. The acetone and alcohol created a chemical reaction that caused a burning sensation. After my experience I recommend everyone avoids this place! Might be cheap, but its TERRIBLE! read more

I moved to Lombard in March of this year and was so happy to see a nail salon in the building right next door to mine so I tried it. I have been going regularly ever since. Their prices are so affordable $15 for manicure and $25 for pedicure. They also offer cards that give $5.00 off on your 5th visit. I highly recommend John. Very friendly staff. read more

I am an educated consumer and I like to support small community business, but I cannot support nor trust this nail salon. The employees and owner are dishonest and do awful work. They also do not stand behind their work. I came in for a nail dip, pedicure and a manicure for my daughter last month. The nail tech did a horrible job on my daughter's nails and I asked her to redo them. She did redo them and also took a cuticle cutter and butchered my daughter's hands causing her to bleed. They lied and told me that they didn't cut her cuticles after my daughter told me and showed me that she was bleeding. They lied to my face even after I showed them the blood. The owner/nail tech also had no idea how to do a nail dip. The dip was sloppy and there was crust and polish under my nails. They also rushed me out after my pedicure and prematurely wrapped my feet and shoved my socks and shoes on. After I came home, my nails were ruined and I went there to ask them to fix them, and they haphazardly grabbed a nail polish that was similiar and painted them carelessly. The color was incorrect and the job was poor at best. I would not recommend this nail salon, because the owner is rude, disrespectful, inexperienced, and the staff she employs is not trained in basic nail care practices and they do awful work.
