I'm so happy I tried this place. If there aren't any appointments at the time I need (rare) I just wait because I don't want to go anywhere else. Everyone is so nice and down to earth! Owners are so kind and they offer you free coffee/tea/spindrift etc. Also, they often have their dog in the shop which is a huge plus for me. Last time I was in, the woman next to me was having a hard time choosing a color and the owner painted his nails in the different colors so she could see them all side by side and tried lots of different powder for metallic sheens etc. Amazing service and so friendly! The pedicures are really nice and include some great scrubbing/massage. The polish lasts much longer than other pedicures I've had! The best part is that you can see the availability times/days on their website and you can schedule AND PAY right there. I cannot tell you how attractive that is to people with anxiety etc haha. What a bad experience! Had an appointment scheduled a month in advance and upon arriving they acted like we had to wait because they thought they were going to take the two that walked in before us without an appointment. What a rushed pedicure!! They also set me up in a chair that was broken where I didn't have any back support besides a dirty pillow. There were two other chairs not being used. The technician took all of 15 minutes skipping steps and then going over to another customer before finishing with the top coat. She also wasn't going to put my flip flops on after she failed to put them on before painting. The technician my mom had was so crabby. She kept tapping her leg instead of verbally expressing what she wanted. The worst of all was the cleanliness of the salon. They had little bugs flying around and everything was a mess. I felt very rushed, even though I had an appointment. No one was sitting in the waiting area we were the only people in the salon. My sister-in law was cut during them removing an ingrown her feet did not even soak long enough. The lady Ari was sighing and grunting and was rushing. I just got a typical no chip and the workers were so sweet and generous. I wasn't sure what color to get and the workers were very determined to find out which color I should get. This was almost a one star rating because they locked up the front door 15 min before closing time!! Mind you, I've been stuck in Chicago for 2 days because of the polar vortex and was in desperate need of getting my eyebrows done... so braving the temps to come here was BIG. I. Was. Pissed. My husband, being the level headed man he is, decided to call the salon and the owner picked up! Rather than raging about closing early, he calmly just asked if they were still open and could possibly squeeze me in to do my eyebrows. She apologized profusely, let us in, did a phenomenal job, was super super friendly and even gave us chocolates. It's been understandably slow and she was just running in the back to start her car when we called!! She completely turned the whole thing around and saved my forest forehead from its own demise! Run!! My first visit here was terrible. The first young lady that was doing my manicure was perfectly fine. the only thing is she really doesn't do the cuticles. then when It was time to get polished another lady took over (I think her name was Rachel) she re-filed all my nails from square ( which I asked for ) to complete round they are numbs...so beyond short you can't even get a fingernail file to them. i've never had the worst nails in my life until I visited this place. Rachael - owner and expert nail artist, was very patient and thorough. I went here after Illinois announced stage 4 of reopening measures and the team was excellent in assuring sanitation. Everyone had masks on , tools were constantly being sanitized, and only limited amount of customers were allowed as a time. Rachel, Wendy, and Caanan (spelling?) are amazing. Rachel isn't there anymore but Wendy and Caanan are awesome. I started coming here about a year ago and will not go anywhere else. They take their time and are so nice. I bring all my friends/family here and they all say the same thing. I usually get no chip on my nails and it seriously lasts forever. The prices here are extremely reasonable, and they will include hand/ shoulder massages with your manicure. If I could give this place a ZERO or negative -10000000 I WOULD. Came in with a friend for a 2 no chip manicures and 1 no chip pedicure. The owner clearly told us when making the appointment about a no chip pedi+no chip mani deal for $60 or $55 if you have cash, GOT to the salon asked once again and she reassured us before starting our nails about the deal AGAIN but once she was done she charged $80 because it was a regular pedi+no chip mani. I came in wanting to get a whole new set because my nails were lifting, she sat me down and said "I don't do acrylic", LEFT to take care of another customer, finished with the other person THEN came back to me and told me she was allergic to acrylic but could do dip. I told her no it was fine, just to take off the whole set and said she does dio for me and we go from there. SUPER rough on my nails and dig into my skin, I have cuts all around my fingers, HORRIBLE. So I notice she's having a hard time with my nails so I told her again as she was drilling the acrylic off my hand that she could just take them off because she was struggling with them but COMPLETELY ignored me and went her way and said she would not charge me for dip, but if I wanted acrylic she would charge me? I THOUGHT SHE COULDN'T do ACRYLIC since she was allergic??! In the end, she charged me $30 (that's what a whole acrylic set costs), I tipped her 18% either way but I will NEVERRRRRRRRRRR EVERRR come back to this place. Unsatisfied and such a TERRIFYING experience when your nail tech just wants to make money with no interest of giving the customer satisfaction. Also when I told her the color I wanted she said "are you sure? It's strong color for you" like I'm SORRY? I'm here for a service not for opinions. Felt discriminated and ignored. Overall, I do not recommend this place and if you do end up trying this place GOODLUCK if you like to be ignored and embarrassed, I mean, even the pictures are clear evidence! Rachel is horrible! She seemed to get sick gratification from causing me pain. I had alot of raw cuitcles and cuts and she literally rubbed acetone into my open cuts and then scrapped raw skin. Im a pretty tough gal. She was literally inflicting pain and looking at me for a reaction. I told her how much it hurt and asked if she could be more gentle but sh e seemed to be getting off on causing me pain. If it were any other time, I would have left. I just got a new job by the salon so it was going to be my new nail salon. Rachel is terrible terrible and rude to boot! Do not go to her..... do yourself a favor and go down the street to another spa. read more

I have been stressed the last few weeks being from Texas in this Chicago cold, and was very grateful when the owner agreed to give a 30 minute massage, even though they were closed. The massage helped loosen me up, and I even got a free eyebrow waxing done!
