I've been visiting this place for a few months, and Kenny is awesome. Initially, I came to remove my old acrylic set I got done at a different nail salon. After seeing my nails, Kenny suggested switching to gel to grow out my natural nails--so we did! I really appreciate the attention to detail and care he puts into prepping and shaping my nails. These ladies were able to fix the crap job I got from EZ nail salon. The price is extremely competitive teamed up with a good job is a WIN in my book. I will be coming back! Will NEVER come here again. The people are rude and do not listen. They ripped the old nails off without soaking or anything and caused my nails to bleed. I told them it hurt and they poured alcohol in them which made them burn Even more. I thought this has to get better right? WRONG!!! They didn't get the color or the shape right and they painted my nail with The same expertise as my 3 year old sister. They knew I wasn't happy so tried to offer me a $10 discount but I'm embarrassed to even be seen with these nails. I told them I wasn't paying but they wouldn't let me leave. I've been to LA Nails before, but this time was by far the best experience I've had there. Came in for a walk-in with my friend today. This is our go-to nail place when I'm in town, but added bonus this time around - 40% off all services because they were renovating and under new management!! I originally came in for gel nails, but changed my mind to SNS instead. I showed the ladies a picture of this ombré peach champagne glitter look I saw on Pinterest, not really expecting them to say yes, as I have brought said picture to different salons before and they said they couldn't do it. The woman who owns the salon said she could see what she could do. They brought several different colors and I felt bad that it was taking so much effort and we weren't finding the right match. I apologized and said I would just settle on a solid color, but Tracy, the young woman who did my nails, responded, "No, honey, don't be sorry. You know what you want and we're going to try to get that for you." She was the sweetest! After much brainstorming, she said she would use clear SNS for the base and a rosy peach glitter gel coat for the ombré. Brilliant. She did a fabulous job and she did so much better than I was hoping - she made it look just like the picture I brought her. SO IMPRESSED! And all of the staff are super friendly and kind. They make you feel so welcomed and cared for. The prices are reasonable too. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Unfortunately, I cannot give a good overall recommendation here. Here are the pros and cons and you can make your own decision. Pros: 1. They do a good job. Cons: 1. You can make an appointment and still have to wait an hour. I go every two weeks and, after the third time of this, I had to say enough. I made an apointment, waited an hour, had my pedicure, then waited 30 more minutes to have my nails done. Almost three and a half hours. Not acceptable. When you see walk-ins being taken first when you had an appointment, it's enough. 2. They do not have enough personnel to handle the demand. read more

She used SNS, put a top coat on and made me put my hands under the light-the whole purpose of SNS is that you don't use a light. She cut my nails way too short. I'm giving 2 stars because the mom was super nice and she did a wonderful job on my pedi. The daughter did my fill in. In the beginning I was ok with the filing, but then I notice the left pinky was crooked. She said once I file it down it would be better. To make a long story short. I was pleased with the shape. Then she proceed to polish my nails with the gel color. I noticed it was streaking, but I said to myself with the 2nd coat it should be ok. WRONG!!!!!!!! She added a 3rd coat and now my nails look bulky and crappy. She said the gel polish was brand new and I needed to add 3rd coat, so it doesn't show any lines. Whatever!! I paid for the services, but I WILL NEVER COME BACKkkkkkk. My REGULAR nail tech was booked today and I took a chance with this place, which I REGRET. I'm going out tonight, I tried on my outfit, put on my open toed sandals. I ruined my nail polish on my toes. They should be DRY. It's been 3hrs since I left. SMH!! A woman walked in to get her nails fixed from a day ago. It took 20mins before someone help. She kept getting the run around. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Stay away from this place!!! Had a full set of what we thought were gel nails, after about 4 days 2 nails broke completely off. Went back to have those 2 nails repaired and the work was so horrible it looked like we allowed a kid to practice at home with some kids press on nails. Within a few days other 2 nails broke off, so we decided to go elsewhere to have the other two repaired and were informed that there was never any gel overlay on the nails thus the continued breakage. At this point, we returned to speak with the owners who have to this day still not contacted us. After speaking with the manger 3 times, twice in person and once over the phone, I returned again to be told the owners weren't answering their calls. This place is horrible!!! I went to get my nails done. I got a full set with gel. Great service, but when they where hand filing my nail, one of them did it a bit too hard and cut my thumb. They noticed it though and while filing the rest, the covered it and continued. I'm happy they did that. My nails look great, but my ring finger nails are longer than every other nail. This used to be my go to nail salon. The quality has really gone down hill. The owner acts like she doesn't care about the quality of the product she is selling. My nails came out uneven and instead of hand brushing my gel nails she just dips them. To me that is just lazy and cheap! I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she completely disregarded what I was showing her. If you can't do it then just tell me. The busier they get the worst they get. I went in today to get a manicure and was refused service following a conversation in the empty salon with a lady sitting in a pedicure chair and a gentleman sitting at a manicure station. When I arrived I was asked what service I wanted and replied I would like a manicure. I was asked if I wanted a gel manicure and said no, just a regular manicure. The two individuals spoke to one another in a language other than English and just stared at me. I asked can I get a manicure? They conversed some more and the lady asked if I could come back later. I told them no, I will never come back to this place and will tell my friends the same. I left. Unbelievable!! The salon was totally empty. I can only assume the person who performs manicures for African Americans was not working or that African Americans are not worthy is service in this establishment. read more

I have never had such terrible service in my life. I came in at 6:30 knowing that they close at 8 but they told me to come in and sit down. They were working on a ladys toes and hands at the time. It took them 30 minutes to even look at my nails. Instead of soaking my hands, the lady takes a tool and begins yanking my old tips off and whispering "soaking takes too long". THIS WAS NOT A PLEASANT FEELING BECAUSE OMG THE PAIN!! But I had 3 broken nails and I couldn't go another day without getting them done. Might I mention that they went back to helping the first lady. It is now 7:30 and all they have done was file down my original nails but once the first lady's friend came in, he immediately left me to attend to the other woman. I am livid. My friend and I got our nails done about 2 1/2 weeks ago with SNS and they did okay! my thumbs were two different lengths along with some of the powder on my skin! I went back tonight at 7:30 to get them taken off and the open sign was on however the lights were off except one light in the back. I tried to open the door since it was technically still 30 minutes from closing and I saw two employees just sitting in the chairs! one of them came and unlocked the door and even though our process of getting them off was only going to be 15 minutes, they said they had already closed everything down! I waited 30 minutes for her to start, she took people who came in after me, and the entire time she was talking to everybody walking in and showing them around the store. She would stop what she was doing to explain to me why they were so busy and the whole time I'm thinking, "Can you please just paint my toes?" I've been getting my nails done consistently for years, and recently moved to this area and decided to try this place out simply because it was close to my house, their prices are a little high in my opinion, and the service took way longer than usual. For example, an hour and 45 minutes for SNS nails, as well as she was very rough with my hands and hurt me multiple times. When I explained that I would prefer three coats so that the nails were thicker and able to hold up for longer, she rolled her eyes and gave me attitude about it and about how that would look bad. I said that I understood that would just rather have it Because I am a nurse and my nails go through a lot. She ignored my request, did the nails then anyways, and within 24 hours one of them was broken from just regular day-to-day activities. I went back to try to have it fixed and she did fix it and made it thicker (see picture of the one fixed compared to the thin original) then the next day 3 more broke, so i went back to get those fixed AGAIN, & she proceeded, in front of an entire shop full of people, to tell me that she told me so and that it was my fault that they were breaking. If you want nail fungus and nails that look like hooves, this is your place! Made the mistake of going to this salon on a recent visit to the area. I was horrified by their dip process (they don't do acrylics) and complained about how thick my nails looked. The nail tech claimed she would file them down and she did make the attempt. They looked like crap!
