It's been a while since a place has shocked me to my core, and for the most unexpected reasons. La Natural has become a local favorite and it's easy to understand why. From its cozy and elevated ambiance to its unique but homey plate deliveries, it is a very rare gem in the booming area of Little River. I went for an unexpected visit at around 6:00pm on a Sunday and was told we'd have to wait over an hour since they were fully booked until 7pm. We understood but decided to wait, which was the right decision as they sat us only around 20 minutes later. With that pleasant surprise, it's right to say that we were off to a great start. Known for its unique sourdough pizzas, I have to say that although they are truly delicious, out of everything I tried, the pizza ranked last. Which shows how truly diverse and well balanced their menu is. The Kale salad ranked second with delicious cheese on top and a dressing I can still taste just thinking about it. But the star of the show to me was their Rigatoni with sage and Thai chili. That's all that plate is described as, and it seems incredibly simplified for a plate that feels like an explosion of flavors in your mouth. I grew up with an Italian Chef as a Dad and still had never been the biggest fan of pastas, and this plate, after 25 years of living and trying different pastas, officially converted me into a pasta lover. Let me be clear and say that the pizzas leave nothing to be desired, but for a place that is known and recognized for such a superior level of Pizzas to have some of the best appetizers and side dishes I have tried in a really long time is an impressive feat. You will catch me here anytime I get a chance to get my hands on this pasta dish, and if you think the hype is not real, please go try it for yourself and enjoy being proven wrong. read more

A friend and I came here to catch up and have some pizza! When we arrived it was much smaller than we expected but had a nice cozy feel to it with a simple decor. I really appreciated the natural light coming in as it gave a nice ambiance. Also, as we were the only ones in the restaurant, the service was attentive and fast. We decided to get a pizza each and share so that we could try two different options. While we both finished our pizzas, I can't say we were wowed enough to make it a regular pizza stop. I'm glad we went and gave it a try, if you are looking for a nice, quiet place for pizza then this could be an option for you to try, maybe you enjoy it more than we did considering its a Michelin establishment. I will note that the prices are a bit on the higher end, there was a service charge automatically included and there was no designated parking which could be an issue. Loved the friendly service but with educated recommendations. As a vegetarian there were more options than I usually get. Really unusual dishes and wines. We kept getting surprised. My friends loved the veggie options as much or more than the meat. All of this in a space that is refreshingly open feeling and fresh. Not a usual Miami look. It could be in Ibiza. He made recommendations, told us about his process, and gave us some insight on Miami's best places and what to look for. The space is modern and minimalist but also warm and earthy. That alone could have made the experience great but they took it up a level with the pizza. I had the white sauce. prosciutto speck. basil. 10/10, no notes. Absolute perfection. The dough alone is incredible. Same goes for the other pizza, the tomato sauce. mozarella. basil. parmigiano reggiano. The Appetizer was also a solid suggestion. As a vegetarian, this place rocked. I loved the carrots and I had the bucatini pasta which was very flavourful. I went with my brother and he had the rigatoni which he said was equally tasty. It's located right next to a railroad so you may hear the train come by a few times during your meal. Desserts are limited but they were great! Service was helpful and efficient. This place will fill up so make sure you have a reservation on high traffic days. I would have liked to see iced tea on the menu. I don't have anything against pets in the proper areas, having dogs inside is not a Michelin appointed restaurant trait. Would also like to see sound proofing in here, it gets loud and you have to start speaking just as loud if you want to be heard. Bathrooms smelled great and were clean. Parking shouldn't be a problem, there is quite a bit around the restaurant and on side streets. This place is known for pizza but they offer a list of small plates that should appeal to most. Hands down the best pizza (if you like Napoli style) in Miami and Ive tried many. The crust is perfect, outside crisp and the interior of the pizza not soft, nor mush. Its a little pricey, but its so worth it. Perhaps its the sourdoug they use for the pizza crust combined with the woodburning oven and burata in lieu of mozarella? Fresh ingredients used lightly, just enough balance. Only negative is if you sit outside we got eaten alive -citrus candles didnt help- and the train, so loud- ruined the ambiance. Show how close the train (with graffitti in background is) and they sound -obnoxiously- the horn. Service was fine, nothing to write home about. read more

One of the perks of living in Miami, particularly near the Design District, is that even if you want lazy laid back dinner, you can still go to a Michelin Bib Gourmand rated spot. So toward the end of this lazy Sunday, when I realized it was after 730 in the evening, La Natural was the first one who had seating for one. I was glad for the opportunity, as when I tried coming here about a week ago after a gallery night they supposedly had the kitchen already closed. Service was pleasant but laid back. After a early part of the weekend worthy of a David Guetta song, I was definitely going nonalcoholic. I'm glad La Natural had teas and such. The chamomile was perfect to ward off the Sunday scaries. I normally leave the crust untouched. However the light crisp, the natural bit of powder of the dough and how it combined with a slightly acidic tanginess of fresh tomatoes and creamy mozzarella was too good not to eat. Dip it in the honey that came with the camomile tea for an extra bonus of flavor. The pumpkin flan, while yummy and not overpowered by the pumpkin, was a little dense for my preference. Unassuming little restaurant kind of on the outskirts of Little Haiti in Miami. When you make the reservation, they let you know that there will be absolutely no cancellations or changes or you will be charged. But trust me, you want to go! Food was absolutely delicious. We started out with baked squash (delicious) and baked onions (omg...so fantastic. Don't miss this). We also tried papaya with anchovies. Really not a big fan of this. The papaya was fine, but the anchovies were really not good, or at least not good on the papaya. To be fair, I'm not an anchovy fan. We just thought we'd give it a try. The. We ordered 4 pizzas. Honestly, we only needed 3 (we were 4 people) but we managed to eat them all! The onion pizza was our favorite, followed by the prosciutto pizza. Both were white (no red sauce) and absolutely amazing. Then we had the garlic and spicy red pepper. Very good. Definitely had a kick. Lastly we had the burratta pie. We all love burratta and this was good burratta too, but we all felt it was just a bit too much. A slightly smaller amount of burratta would actually have been better. But still very good. All the pies are made with sourdough bread, and wow that is just great. We also had a tiramisu and a chocolate cake for dessert. Both just yummy. Add a bottle of wine (not crazy expensive) and this was an almost $75 pp diner. Worth it for pizza? Debatable. But it was very very good. read more

I went with a dear friend that I wanted to catch up with. Everything was perfection. The pizza was crisp. The pasta was fresh. The salad was phenomenal. First time dining in La Natural, it was recommended by one of our friends for being a chill trendy location where you can get good sourdough pizza. Granted the night we went there was a huge bachelorette party going on so it was extremely loud for the small location. Being small and the location going for a cave look the sounds really echoed throughout. But I won't let that affect my review on the service and food. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful they offered us great suggestions and recommendations. My wife and I ordered the Rigatoni with Thai chili which pack some great heat but still delicious and al dente. We also ordered the Prosciutto pizza with white sauce. Also had a good amount of prosciutto on the pizza but with the white sauce unfortunately didn't pack a lot of flavor in my opinion. We chose that pizza because it was the only one with meat/protein on the pizza. I'm not sure if they're willing to customize the pizzas but if they should offer that. We also shared a bottle of Orange wine. Not sure exactly which one we ordered but it was still good. This is the second time we come to eat here in as many days, and the pizza is absolutely spectacular! Javier has crafted a product that is second to none, and has nothing to envy from any of the best pizzas that I've eaten, not only know my travels, but haven't been raised in Italy up and down the boot. Today we had a traditional Barata and tomato pizza and Hamm with a couple of slices of anchovies on top to make it a Napoletana and boy, was it ever delicious! I came to La Natural a year ago and when friends that live more North than me decided to get together for dinner, I thought this was the perfect spot. I really like the vibe and ambience of the restaurant and the music is great with the added benefit that it's not so loud you can't hear the people you're catching up with. They have an extensive wine selection including Lambrusco which I love and isn't often offered at a lot of places. We started with the rosemary bread, mortadell, sweet potato and the romaine miso salad. Yum! Then we moved onto pizza, they had the burrata and I had the Calabrian chili which had a nice kick. This is such a cute hidden gem in Little River. The ambiance was very nice and minimalistic. The service was great and our waitress was very informative and gave us really great recommendations throughout the meal. The menu is pretty minimal, but everything was very tasty. We started with a Spanish wine and the sweet potato appetizer which was out of this world! The buckwheat provided a really nice crunch. Next, we ordered the onion and ricotta dip along with the white sauce and wild mushroom pizza which was so tasty! The pizza crust was so fluffy and really resembled a classic Napoleon Italian pizza. About a year and a half ago, this place was glorious. Fresh & crisp vegetables and stunning, flavorful pizzas were served up *consistently*. Unfortunately, this is no longer true. I found the salad overdressed and salty. The bread is still at 10/10. The saddest part is that they changed the szechuan pizza. It's extremely overseasoned now. It was once the most exquisite pizza in all the land, generous portions of scallions, lightly sprinkled with szechuan, perfect proportions but no longer. Service was alright, the place itself is cute but all conversations echoed and made it very loud inside. Ok so here's the food: Burrata pizza: it was okay, the tomato sauce had a good taste but there was so much that it quickly made the pizza soggy. Mushroom white sauce: good but nothing great. Was a little flat We ordered a pizza with mozzarella cheese like a margarita pizza, it was ok. Some of it was raw. The dough was fine- their "48 hour cold fermented" was good but... noting worth $30 for a pizza. Some parts of the pizza was raw. Probably the worst dish was the pasta. Definitely avoid it. It's a rigatoni with sage and Thai chili. Can't taste the sage at all and it's a medium spice. But that's it. So bland. The sliver of sage did... nothing! At least it was cooked alright, (still don't waste your money) but not worth another whopping $30. The Japanese sweet potato is okay, a little too sweet for me to be an appetizer. The Castlefranco plate/salad was disappointing and the spigarello was pretty bad. Also make note that 20% tip is already included. In all I think it is incredibly overpriced for what you're given. This place is one of Miami's quiet hotspots. The food is delicious and the place is packed, but it's not one I hear people constantly talking about. One of those "if you know, you know" vibes. The rigatoni pasta is something I'm still thinking about. And the pizza, of course, was amazing. The prices are a bit on the higher end, but worth the splurge every now and then. All of the wine options are natural, which is nice, but not be for everyone. Only reason I'm knocking down a star was because the hostess was a bit rude, brushed us off a bit, and we waited 30-45 minutes past our reservation to get sat down.
