Fajitas I could only eat half but they were so good. The wife had red enchiladas and loved them.

Little and I mean very little Gem in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Does not look like much from the outside but the decorations and tables are very nice, authentic! The food was delicious! The waiter and hostess has such a great personality, very welcoming and friendly! We went in July which I highly DO NOT recommend there was no air conditioning and it was brutal!! They have a special dish that we wanted to try so bad but there was no way we were going to eat a hot dish while sweating like crazy!! Not a good place for a large group, only 6-7 tables in the house.

Great food and service at this cute friendly family owned restaurant. One of our must go when in Penasco.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. This place is really small, so if there's a big party you're SOL. We never leave PP without eating here, we love it so much

The waiter came out and said I'm sorry it'll be another 20 minutes the thing that's surprising is we were the only customers, I can't understand why it would take an hour to get my food. My grandson who ate here once before and thought their hamburger was the best in the world wanted to come back here because the patty he had last time was thick and handmade and very flavorful this burger Was what looked like out of a package you get at Costco with the frozen patties it had no flavor was overcooked, and the bacon was raw. The french fries were overcooked had no flavor and were terrible. My shrimp tacos were cold. They used to come out with some sauce and beans and rice and you had three big tortillas with a lot of shrimp. These were tiny little tortillas with some minimum shrimp their prices are jacked up really high now and then something we found out that not only this place is doing but a lot of others in Rocky Pointe is they're giving you a menu with prices in dollars and then when you get your bill, they convert into pesos at a higher peso rate so you're paying another 10% more than actual price. When are the businesses in this town going to understand they're driving the tourist away. It's getting more expensive to dine out in Rocky Pointe than it is in the United States. The food was terrible today. The waiter tried to make lots of excuses. He was a very nice guy, but this place will be lucky to stay in business if they keep up these practices and poor Service

It's quickly become one of my favorite spots for authentic grilled chicken. The chicken is the star of the meal--juicy, flavorful, and cooked over a charcoal grill that gives it an amazing smoky flavor. The rice and beans are also very authentic and pair perfectly with the chicken. My only minor critique is that the beans were a little soupier than I personally prefer, but they still tasted great. The macaroni salad was the only item that didn't really stand out. It wasn't bad, but it lacked seasoning and flavor compared to everything else on the plate. A couple of things to know before you go: it's cash only, so be sure to bring pesos or usd. It's also an outdoor-style restaurant with covered seating, and because the chicken is cooked over an open charcoal grill, the dining area can get fairly smoky. It definitely adds to the authentic experience, but it's something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to smoke. Overall, the food is delicious enough that I came back a second time during the same trip. While there are a few small areas for improvement, the flavorful chicken and authentic sides make Pollo Lucas a spot I'll definitely visit again the next time I'm in Rocky Point.
