    Pasta Fagiole

La Nonna Bella was a great find during the stay in Garden City. The Pasta Fagiole was as good as my Nonna Maria's (maybe better). A great wine selection also helped start the meal, with an entree off the specials of the day presented by my waiter. The paccheri pasta with sautéed sausage was amazing. For desert I teetered on tiarmisu or rum cake and went with the former. It was different with a Bailey's cream but a delicious change. The place has a classy local feel and I was impressed the chef came out to see if I enjoyed the meal. I will definitely go to La Nonna Bella again!

We had such a lovely time here for dinner on a Friday night! Called for a reservation about twenty minutes before we wanted to go out and were lucky enough to score a table. We started with drinks, fritto misto and the carpaccio. The breading on the calamari and shrimp was light and the tomato sauce to dip was chunky and tasty (could have used a little more, but we're big dippers). Carpaccio was my favorite dish of the night - fresh arugula, a generous helping of shaved Parm, all perfectly seasoned. We had the Margherita chicken and the Strascinate Pugliesi for mains. Literally the best broccoli rabe dish I've ever eaten - cooked beautifully, full of flavor but not bitter, pasta was delicious and looked made by hand. The chicken dish was also fresh and very tasty. Only minor complaint is a side of pasta would have been a welcome compliment to the dish (maybe next time). We were too stuffed for dessert, but very much look forward to trying it when we return for date nights. This will also be a great place to take our parents (who are rather picky eaters). The service was fantastic - relaxed and friendly, right there when you needed something and returned quickly with all our requests. Thank you for a great evening!

    Linguini with Clams

Great! Would def. return! We had the special appetizer, fried zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, & prosciutto. Outside was so crispy Soooo good. Husband had Linguini with Clams & I had the Mesclun salad, with candied walnuts, goat cheese, cranberries, crispy prosciutto , & strawberries Dessert was excellent- Bomballini.

Made reservations for 8:30pm , we're seated right away. Ordered two drinks , they were both yummy and strong lmao no complaints here's. We ordered the calamari and fried shrimp appetizer that was delicious. Will definitely return, best Italian food I've had in years!

After our most recent experience, we've decided we won't be returning. One waitress in particular has made our last few visits very unpleasant. She consistently has an attitude, is unfriendly, and often comes across as rude. We've also noticed her spending a lot of time on her phone instead of paying attention to customers. During our last two visits, she took our order only to come back afterward and tell us that multiple items we ordered were unavailable with no apology. Our visit today was the final straw. After eating here, my entire family became sick and was up throughout the night with stomach issues. While we can't say for certain what caused it, we all ate at the restaurant and became ill afterward, so be careful. It's disappointing because this is one of our regular family spots and we genuinely enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, the decline in both service and our most recent experience with the food has made us decide it's time to find another regular restaurant.

The place was empty when I went in, for which I was grateful. I wanted time to decide the right fixings for my salad creation. The person working this particular day wasn't overly friendly and I almost felt rushed to decide what I wanted. Regardless, the salad was phenomenal and reasonably priced (approx. $15 for a create your own with grains, greens, tofu and other veggies). Plenty big too, just ask my husband who devoured half my lunch (insert eye roll here - I didn't want to share this time, but alas). I wish there was one a bit closer to my neck of the woods but I would absolutely return when in the area. This place appeared very clean which I always appreciate and there is seating available if you chose to dine in.

On the other hand, they are always out of something and the employees are dismissive. My latest run-in with them: I ordered on a Friday night for pickup. I arrived at the pickup time and my order hadn't been started. The employee found it at the printer and began making it on the spot, only to then realize they were out of goat cheese, which for me is a main ingredient in the salad. I told them nevermind, which clearly annoyed him because he started putting the other ingredients in the bowl. I asked for a refund and was told it couldn't be processed in-store. He directed me to go through the app. After speaking to the manage and not getting anywhere, I left without a refund. I proceeded to go back and forth with Guest Relations for 10 days before my refund was issued. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

I was alone and despite being semi-crowded, there wasn't a wait. This place definitely gives a hole in the wall vibe and that's what I wanted. There are plenty of "brunch vibes" in Long Island and that's not what I was looking for today. Service was super prompt and the food came quick, less than 10 minutes. I ordered the Mexican omelette which was eggs, shredded chicken and oaxacan cheese. I expected the chicken and cheese to be cooked into the omelette - it was actually an egg omelette with the chicken and cheese folded inside. No complaints though; when I had enough eggs, I was able to eat just the chicken. It was well seasoned and not doused in cheese, which I appreciated. Note to self: no sour cream next time. It was unnecessary. The omelette came with a side of home fries. The home fries were the perfect mix of soft and crispy, with onions and peppers. They tasted great. It also came with toast and I added avocado, and made avocado toast... YUM. I had an iced coffee on the side. Nothing special about the coffee- not good or bad. They had almond milk and sugar-free vanilla... yay! Lastly, I took a sausage omelette with sweet potato chips to go for my son and he loved it. I would definitely come back. Thanks for a good experience!
