Birria de Chivo tacos made from ready to eat ingredients from their hot counter!

I went in to find corn husks to make tamales, but after buying enough prepared items from their counter, I may never cook again! My Spanish is pretty limited, but the staff is kind enough to help me when I have to resort to sign language. The items I bought were fresh and delicious. I'm looking forward to trying other items.

Another company lunch success! We got take out from the La Nortena market in honor of Cinco De Mayo, and it was AMAZING. Seriously recommend this spot for any catering/easy meal needs. All of it is good, and a good price.

My Hispanic friend recommended La norteba's tamale after hearing me complaining the expensive ones I got from the more expensive market. I paid a visit and I'm glad I did! The market was packed with stuff, such as veggies, pastries, cooked food and various grocery items. The best part of it, is I got good tamales for 2 dollars each! However, I don't recommend their pastries though. I got a concha bread and a Chocolate glazed donut, and both were dry. Which was a bit disappointing. Tamale was good though!

The meat selection is the best. Their takeout selection is also very tasty. 100% recommend.

There's never parking and always a long line to pay. I used to like buying bread here but it's not as good anymore.

The café itself is simple, clean, and cozy, with a small outdoor seating area available. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. On a previous visit, I tried the elk burger, which was excellent. This time, I ordered the roast beef sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The bread was lightly toasted, the portion of meat was generous, and the sandwich itself was hearty and satisfying. Service was quick and efficient, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch. While the space is modest, it is well-maintained and comfortable. They also operate a butcher shop next door, which has become one of my favorite places to purchase quality meats--I plan to review that separately in the future. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Fresh and flavorful,! My husband had the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. Enough for two people. Lots of meat, thick bacon lettuce and tomato. Wish I lived closer as this would be one of my go tops for a great burger

First time here today! Wow! I love this place. Super friendly as you can see from other reviews…read more And! Very funny, the gentleman, as we walked in, asked if it was one of our birthdays?! Odd, as we were not in festive dress, but it was my partners birthday! He was cutting some amazing ribeye, and that's what we were looking for--he said he got us, and wow. Take a look at those steaks! Selection is good! But, a small place can't be expected to have 100s of items, but everything is carefully chosen and fresh. I'll be back for those oxtails for sure! Also, there was a very wonderful lady there with her fresh baked goods, not sure if that's a regular thing or or a pop up, but shout out to the strawberry pound cake. This is now going to be our regular spot for great meats! As far as price goes, I would say competitive with Gartner's and even some groceries, but this place is special, so you get what you pay for. Oh, and there's a big parking lot in the back, which is great on the busy street.

It's like asking for a grape and you give me an apple...so either you cut it the right way or just call it something else like scraps.
