Every Sunday I make the drive from the San Fernando Valley to Palmdale just to have this menudo!!! The best menudo period and topped off with the excellent customer service, La Palma is absolutely legendary! highly recommend. The best tortillas hecha a mano hands down!

If you're looking for authentic, homemade Mexican food that truly hits the spot--La Palma is it! I ordered takeout for my family, and every single person was impressed--it was so good! The flavors are rich, comforting, and absolutely worth the visit. And on top of that, the owners are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet--so sweet and generous. They even gave us a little extra, which just shows how much they care about their customers. Affordable, delicious, and made with heart-- La Palma is a true hidden gem. Highly recommend supporting this amazing small business!

My son and I were passing by and saw this place. So we decided to stop and check it out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the beautiful people within the establishment. The food is amazing and people are very hospitable!

This restaurant has two locations and I personally like this location the best. This place has a more traditional family vibe felt like I was home with my Tia's, mother and abuela in the kitchen. The service is amazing and food is delicious. The other location was to corporate and extremely rude and unprofessional. The only downside is this place is cash only and the seating is limited inside. Get your cash ready prior to arriving. The parking is dirt so when it's windy expect dust or raining expect mud but very spacious even for even trucker to park. This place tends to get busy so be prepared to wait; worth it! This building looks like a shack and a bit run down but this is definitely a diamond in the rough. They serve homemade tortillas and let me say it was definitely delicious. Bet you can't just order one serving? 3 nice size tortillas per serving very authentic Mexican food, reminded me of Aguascalientes, Mexico. I would honestly say if going off the various recommendations of either for or against this place to each their own. I personally recommend based off my the family experiences who have been coming here for years and current visit. I would say come in and try it for yourself it's definitely worth it. Lots of recommendations everyone commenting can be be valid and some nitpicking. Either way I hope the owners capitalize on some of these recommendations e.g. placing an ATM here more money for the business as customers might not to return and risk finding another place to dine.

As usual the service and food are Excellent!!! The homestead feeling of warmth and good vibes are like no other ! Thank you Lucy once again! We love you and your family. Blessings

Check your receipt!!!! The cashier ( not sure if she's the owner) will steal from you! When you make her aware that she's overcharging, she will go to any lengths to laugh it off and tries to convince you she's right. We ordered 2 combinations that were supposed to come with 4 tortillas each. (It's clearly written on the board) While we were waiting for the orders another customer was complaining that he was overcharged. She went back and forth with him for quite a long time. At the end he was so frustrated, he just got his order and left. That's when I decided to check my receipt. Sure enough she charged us for the tortillas that were supposed to be included. We pointed it out to her and even though we showed it to her that it was in writing on the board she kept on arguing. Another customer who spoke fluent Spanish and English decided to help us and translated everything to her. She still kept on arguing but decided to refund us for the fraudulent charges. (I think there were too many people now that pointed it out to her that she's in the wrong) Another customer finally spoke up and said that she has been doing that same nasty game with lots of customers. It always is a few dollars. He also said that he's been going there for years and was never charged extra for tortillas. The place is cash only... The food is not bad, but honestly there are lots of Mexican food places out there that will outdo this hole in the wall and they hopefully won't cheat you out of your money. In our case it was was only $4 but with that many people going in and out of this place she's making a killing on stealing from the unaware customers. What she's doing is flat out disgusting and people need to be aware of it! Aside from everything else, the wait time was horrendous too. We were waiting for an hour to get the food. read more

Stopped here for lunch based on reviews. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the wonderful service. True that it is a bit of a "hole in the wall" but that only adds to its charm. It helps the painful trek from LA to Vegas be more enjoyable. read more

This is my first time trying La Palma. Let me start by saying the food was authentic and delicious! With that being said, there wasn't much seating so we had to sit in a shed type room to wait for our food which didn't get to us until almost an hour later. The orders got mixed up a couple times. But overall it was a nice family environment and would consider going again. read more

Came in to Palmdale Blvd store on February 14 2019, with family and friends had great service, friendly helpful people. The food was ok, but the margaritas that were ordered were made wrong, and they exchanged them for beer since. Had a great bartender, but now had a new bartender. read more

Breakfast burritos are one of my favorite things. I try to find them whenever possible. The comment about not judging by the outside is true. But this is a must stop when in the neighborhood. Perfect stop when traveling through Pear Blossom to Vegas. Delicious food and friendly staff. read more

Best menudo I've had in a long time! Definitely coming back, we also had the trositos de puerco which were like my moms. The tortillas are hand made. And the ambiance is like being over grandma's house. It even looks like a little house with a big tree outside. And on Sundays a lady sells candy straight from mexico! read more

This is a total hole in the wall, but if you ever happen to be in Palmdale...(I know) I was there scouting shooting locations for photoshoots. You MUST try this place. It is the real deal just like tia maria is cooking in the back. The food was off the charts delicious and they were very, very nice. It's not much to look at but it is definitely worth a try! read more

My dad loves this place! We've gotten tacos , quesadillas and burritos from here before, all authentic tasting! Love that it's such a little place but always crowded. What we like to do though on Sundays , is bring a large pot, and they fill it up with menudo or posole and charge us according to servings. Comes out much less than individual plates though, and it lasts the whole day. Sooooo delicious! Had it last week. read more

Came here after a long day of location scouting. The tacos here aren't average. There are different kinds of tacos and all made right then and there (took 20 min. for us to get our food and we were the only ones in there that afternoon). The wait was worth it! Horchata is authentic. The woman (I think may be the owner) was soo sweet. She gave us free tacos that we hadn't tried yet because she noticed how much we loved the ones we ordered. Wish there was a La Palma in Studio City. I had actually ordered the menudo. And it is LEGIT. Not for the faint of heart. Def. from a cow. Was uber gamey and they did not skimp on the meat. The broth was muddy in a good way. Portion was big. Def. share the menudo. read more

Alright. This place is way overdue for a review. When you first walk in you realize why people enjoy this place so much. The customer service is awesome. They treat you like family. Not to mention the Best Carne Asada burritos in town!! The meat is so juicy and tender it's ridiculous. read more

The friendliest People! Everyone makes you feel like you are visiting family. Menudo is the best in Palmdale/Little Rock area. Pollo Asado on Sundays is also really good. Pretty pricey but very good. Tortillas hechas a mano are really good and made fresh to order. Beans are also really good and chicharron is also really good! I can't go much into descriptions but this place is a must try!!! read more

Be ready to wait a looong time.... It took them about an hour to serve my order and that was only when I complained, after that our food was served, the tacos where cold and sogy... My friend and I just ate here and it was really good. Their huevos con chorizo was amazing. The lady at the register said they make their own chorizo. Also, they're tortillas are fresh and hand made. They smell and taste so good. They staff is really nice too. read more

Since Father’s Day of 2009 and during the peak of the recession, La Palma has been serving the Antelope Valley with our famous menudo, carnitas estillo Michoacán and chicharrones. Started by the late Armando Alonso and his brother and sisters, to this day the restaurant has the same delicious recipes served by the same family that established it.

Although the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, within about 15 minutes it had filled up, which says a lot about how popular this place is. Excellent food, excellent service, and a very clean restaurant. We will definitely continue coming back whenever we're on that side of town. Highly recommended!

Their service was quick and extremely attentive! The had music playing, beautiful murals on the walls. Great spot! Definitely a cool spot to visit if you're ever in the area and in the mood for some authentic Mexican food.

Good authentic food. They have the basic; menudo, tacos, homemade tortillas, etc. The chicharrones are to die for and very fresh!!!!!! You will not find great tasting chicharrones in the AV but here! Just be prepared to wait a while for a table, especially on the weekends. The place is very tiny and does not accommodate that many people. Also, their prices are a little on the high end, but you pay for what you get. Food is great! read more

Hands down best carne asada burrito in the AV. The owners are also the only staff and are so happy when you walk in. They offer table service and you just cant help feeling like youre at your aunt or grandmothers house. Great place! read more
