I love Cleo and Marian. They are so hardworking and very personable. I love the burritos and the food in general here is very high quality. The price is more reasonable here than any other Mexican food place I know of in the Peninsula Bay Area. Currently they are only open for take out due to COVID. Call in your order and then you don't have to wait once you get there. We have been here many times and the food is always good. Very consistent. They were very accommodating and made me an omelet with just egg whites when we asked for it, thank you for doing this. On Saturdays when we come here, this place is busy and it seems like we're usually the only non Spanish speakers which for us is a good sign. By Far and I mean Far the best Mexican food you will find in San Bruno! Ok before we get to the bread and butter let's talk establishment. As you walk in you immediately see a fair amount of tables. (Don't wait for someone to seat you, if you find a table take it) I recommend something a little further from the door, unless you dont mind a breeze hitting you everytime someone walks in and out. You got a nice mural on the wall and 2 big TVs. The kitchen is directly in front of the door so you get a glimps of it as you walk in. This place screams Mexico. Service on both occasions have been very spectacular. We got our menus seconds after sitting down, with a basket of chips (Crunchy and thick) and a very tasty and bold salsa. Food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the camarones a la diabla & my Daughter ordered the sopa the camarones. My dish came with rice and beans and salad along side a cube of cheese (fresco) I believe. Her soup was loaded with plump shrimp and a wide variety of hearty vegetables. We both were blown away. Best part you get homemade tortillas so good. This food will make you feel good really good. It is such a joy to find amazing food locally. I am very impressed and will continue to try new dishes. Parking is good depending on day. So if you are ever in San Bruno and in the mood for Mexican give this place a shot. read more

Yo this place is one of the best taquerias in town, and redwood city is known for most taquerias per square mile in all of the united states. This place hasn't disappointed my roommate and I. We live for those wet burritos and their carne plates. That's all we've had. But I think one thing that we like is that their meat is fresh and better than most places. Some taquerias offer you more of the bad part of the meat and that's a no no for me. Well, sadly, we came back to La Paloma after several years, and I was very disappointed. I was so looking forward to the Tacos Al Pastor. The first time we came here, it was divine! The second time it wasn't as good, but still quite tasty. Today, it was dry and blah and definitely not noteworthy. Truly nothing apecial. In addition, the service was pretty poor (got my order wrong twice, never refilled our chip basket, etc). In the future, when we visit the bay area, I don't think La Paloma will be on our "must visit" list any longer. read more
