Chicken mole Enchiladas 5*
Luanu'u M.

Love this place. My coworkers and I come here monthly basis. Everything is delicious and we all have varying taste in Mexican food. From tex-mex to authentic, we all love it. Easy to call in and pick up is 15 minutes. They also have a drive thru we haven't tried yet. Guacamole and chips 5* Everything is excellent to be honest. Come try and see why all the local Hispanics eat here.

I've never written a review on anything before but I had to make a special exception for this place. I read the reviews that it was already a bad spot but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try it out anyways, wow what a mistake that was. I ordered the carnitas tacos and the shrimp quesadilla and both were absolutely awful. Carnita tacos were so wet and greasy that when I went to pick them up the entire tortilla ripped in half and I ended up with a plate of mush and meat. For the shrimp quesadillas as soon as I go to open the to go container the first thing I see is grease, and lots of it. It was completely inedible and disgusting.. I spent about $22 here and it's money I'll never get back. Do not make the same mistake I did by giving this place the benefit of the doubt like I did. Spend your money elsewhere.

Taco plate - 3 tacos, choice of meat, with rice and beans. $6.50

Stopped in for lunch after driving by every day on my way to work. A colleague mentioned they had great breakfast tacos, so I thought lunch would be a worthwhile venture. There were signs posted throughout noting that the restaurant is under new management. I'm not sure when the change happened or what food was like before, but I thought it was really good. We got there at 11:15 and were the 2nd guests to arrive for the lunch hour. By the time we left at 12:15, every table was full of workers and families. I ordered the taco plate - 3 tacos with my choice of meat (8 or so choices available) plus rice and beans. For my tacos, I went with bistec, chorizo and lengua, fully dressed with chopped onions and cilantro. After paying, we waited at our table where we were served in short order. The beans were topped with a crumbling of queso fresco and the tacos had sliced radishes as well as lime wedges for squeezing. (YUM) They also brought bottles of salsa - green (which tasted like it was lettuce based) and red. Both packed a lot of heat but I very much preferred the flavor of the green salsa. Really really tasty. We didn't buy drinks, but asked for cups of water. Somehow we never got our cups but I think that was probably a lack of understanding regarding the process on our part because I saw that other guests had cups of water. If we'd wanted, there was also a case of homemade desserts (tres leches, flan, etc) for purchase. I was too full from lunch to think about dessert. I really liked La Paloma and it's a nice 2 minute walk from my office. If I had to choose, I prefer Jamal's tacos over La Paloma - but there are definitely many reasons why I would go to La Paloma again. The menu is more robust and, like I said, it's just a 2 minute walk. Plus the food is good!

Located just outside of Old Town Plano right next to a Mexican bakery. When it comes to taqueria I am always all about those street tacos. It must have a good, flavorful tender meat and spicy to very spicy sauce/salsa to top it off. The tacos in this taqueria is fairly decent. The meat is tender but they are stingy on onions and cilantro. The sauce doesn't have enough heat but good flavor. All in all it's a good place for a dent tacos. Plus they are open until 11pm. Will definitely comeback for some more.

Really great street-style tacos. I liked the pastor best. Next time I'll skip the "3 taco place" - the rice and beans were nothing special - and just get 4 tacos. They also have Jarritos and Mexican Coke. I stay away from sugary soda, unless it's Jarritos. Try the Pineapple if you've never had one. I'm not a big fan of the squeeze bottles, but the sauces inside were good, especially the green. I can live with the squeeze bottles when tacos this good are a buck seventy five.

Sopes are deliciousness.

This is one of the best kept secrets. Not too many people know about this place. My wife and I eat there EVERY Friday. It's as good as grandma would make. Their tacos are the best, we also always get ceviche tostada, and the shrimp cocktail. My favorite are the lengua tacos. The service at this location is superb and friendly. If you like menudo, theirs is one of the best! This is authentic Mexican food.

Carnitas taco!

No question about it---this place has authentic Mexican cuisine. Street tacos but with more to them, a huge torta with big chunks of pork, a burrito that rivals the size at Chipotle and a large enchilada platter, all very reasonably priced. Good sauces in squeeze bottles plus typical bottled hot sauces. Had to go with bottles Jarritos sodas just because. Also tried a Boing! drink, which is kind of like a fruit juice in a soft drink bottle with guava passion fruit--different but tasty. The atmosphere is McDonalds-casual but with lively Mexican music playing through the speaker system, adding quite a bit to the authentic experience. Didn't have room for dessert but they had a nice display with several options. We showed up at 9p on a Friday night and were the second dine-in customers, but by the time we left several families showed up. Clearly, this is the place for people looking for a good inexpensive meal that tastes like home. Can't wait to come back.

Street Taco basics... I always get the Bistec(basically brisket sliced thin on a meat slicer then grilled. Well made. Great sauce. Nice staff. I Always leave happy.

They brought a large basket of perfectly crispy, warm chips with salsa and took my order. I got the #15 lunch special which is your choice of two enchiladas (I got sour cream chicken), rice and beans. The food was served quickly and at the perfect temperature. My enchiladas were bursting with chicken and the sour cream sauce was the perfect compliment. The rice was excellent as well. Even the iced tea is great, and featured a legit lemon slice. They have a full bar which I'll be trying on my next visit and two large TVs set where you can see one or both from any seat in the dining room. I told my server she's going to get sick of seeing me because I'll be here at least twice a week! Service was excellent by the way. My tea was even refilled without having to ask. We entered and no one says anything, lady came in after us waiting, shoving us to see if there is a list for waiting... like girl were the only two people in line. We got sat and the workers are very friendly, no problem there. Chips were good and came out crisp. I ordered the two taco plate. Taco shell was very stale, was very sad. The ground beef wasn't that good, chicken taco was better (surprisingly). Rice and beans were decent. Overall, didn't hate it here, but also not that great. There was a lot of people here and a lot of people waiting to be seated as well.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

The bartender was attentive, kind, and professional. The atmosphere felt welcoming, and you can tell they have loyal regulars, which always speaks well of a restaurant. The staff overall seemed consistent and friendly. Now for the food. I ordered the queso to start. The flavor was good, but it wasn't hot -- more lukewarm than fresh-out-the-kitchen warm. For my entrée, I had the skirt steak with beans, pico de gallo, enchilada, and rice. The flavors were solid, but again, the plate came out lukewarm. For a Tex-Mex spot, temperature really matters. I don't need it piping hot, but I do expect my food to feel freshly made and properly heated when it arrives. That was my only disappointment. I've ordered carryout before without issue, and because the service and vibe are strong, I will definitely be back to give it another try. I just hope next time the food comes out hot and fresh. Overall: great service, good flavors, strong local energy -- just room for improvement on food temperature.
