We had lunch here. Busy Monday lunch time. We ordered Beef Quesadillas and Taco Salad. They taste delicious. Server is friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated Mexican Restaurant, a hidden treasure off 15th Street, Plano TX. Parking spaces available.

The 8 dollar top shelf margarita hit the spot I had a couple. They brought out a bean dip and salsa with chips very tasty beans. I ordered the pescados plate looks amazing!

Alexander's Restaurant owned by a great family, Bernardo and Claudia. Their fajitas tonight were excellent! We ate too fast and didn't get pictures, lol. Their Margaritas are amazing. My favorite is Alexander's Margarita. Margaritas Love their Tres Leche cake and Churros and ice cream. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Ok but not great, 3.5 rating. We were so excited to try this local spot, unfortunately we left a little disappointed. The chips and salsa/bean dip were really tasty. I ordered the enchilada plate (2) and they were very small in size, also they messed up my order but I didn't say anything (not a big deal but asked for no beans, extra rice). The flavor of the enchiladas were good, my favorite was the chicken with sour cream sauce. The beef fajitas were not that good, the meat looked a little off and the taste wasn't great. Open to returning and trying other items but do not recommend the beef fajitas.

The food is great. The staff is great. So why the low rating? I'm a regular there - I go at least once a week and usually twice. I almost always bring a family member or a friend and the tab is typically about $65 each time. For months I've been ordering the happy hour margaritas - which are $6 - and those were tasty too. Last week I took my daughter there and I ordered happy hour margaritas, and was told that the happy hour ended at 6:00PM (it was 7:00PM when we arrived.) After the meal, I went home and checked their website and it said that happy hour was all day, every day (see attached screen shot of their website.) So I went back today and asked them if they would honor their website's prices, and they said no. So I walked out. I can afford the non-happy hour price of $9 and then some. I liked being a regular there. But there was a part of me that felt that until they update their website, they should honor the prices they advertise. Do they not understand that in Plano there's a Mexican restaurant on just about every corner?

This is my second visit to this location. I was there on June 26th. This time we were able to come together as a family and enjoy the ambiance, food, and fellowship with each other. Everybody enjoyed their meal. Salsa and chips and bean dip was phenomenal. My son had his usual Burger with modifications of ketchup and cheese only. From my memory, surprisingly he was not able to take the whole thing down this time. I think I ended up eating it as a leftover. My daughter had the tacos Al Carbon, My wife had the al alambre, And I ended up sampling the Victoria's pasta. Like I said, everything was great, especially the staff at attending to our every need. It was a week night so it was not super busy. I can remember the first time we went where it was crowded and there was a wait, but the wait was well worth the time that it took us to get in there. This is definitely a stop. I will make again, as there are many items on the menu that I am eager to try! Try! Shout out to the owners as this is a small business, and I sent PRAYERS up for much success with this endeavor!

Tiny plastic salsa cups no bueno

My first day back from Vacay and I was craving Tex Mex. None of my usual haunts seemed appealing at the time. Maybe residual " Hunters Malady" from the challenge of tracking down all that great food on Kauai. Dialing in the local Yelp,a newby poped up. A superfluous perusal of a couple of reviews indicated it may be a find. It was early afternoon about 3 and the place was empty. Never a good sign. We ordered and the food came out hot in a reasonable amount of time. The chips were good but the salsa was served in tiny plastic condiments to go cups? Not cool My Tex Mex plate was just ok. The chili concarne which makes or breaks the dish wasn't quite there. Obviously this mom and pop is trying. They opened last January and appear to be struggling somewhat. I should have looked closer at the reviews before coming. The high 4 and 5 Stars were given by folks with only 25 or so reviews. I'd wait on Alexanders.

My enchiladas were bursting with chicken and the sour cream sauce was the perfect compliment. The rice was excellent as well. Even the iced tea is great, and featured a legit lemon slice. They have a full bar which I'll be trying on my next visit and two large TVs set where you can see one or both from any seat in the dining room. We finally got a table after about a 25 minute wait. We ordered the pork carnitas. The meat came in sizable chunks. Some pieces had a little fat, but most were pretty lean. They were all very tender and crispy on the outside. We also ordered a street taco dinner plate, which came with three tacos with proteins of our choice. We decided to go for a combination of beef, chicken, and pork. They were all delicious, but we liked the pork the most. It was moist and tender. We concluded the meal with some puffy sopaipillas. They were really good too! Our waiter was friendly and helpful, and very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. We enjoyed both the food and the service, and the lively vibe as well. We'll definitely come back. But next time we'll try to get there a little earlier to avoid the long wait.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. Being Mexican, having had an unhealthy share of street tacos in Mexico... I'll tell you that it doesn't matter if you like it or not. This is one of the closest taco spots in the area to hit close. I mean this in the most sincere way possible... If you are wanting tacos from a place where a kid from a Chick-Fil-A store or commercial is taking your order, and all of the food choices are combination of about a dozen ingredients slopped together by someone who seriously thought a GED was "Good Enough" by the company behind Pepsi (cough Taco Bell) then this place isn't for you. I like my steak where the recipe to the chicken, pork, and steak isn't "cut bag open and place in warming bin idiot". All jokes aside this place is pretty legit. It's authentic enough where I'm pretty sure I was the only native English speaking person there, including the customers. But not so authentic that there was a cows head in a pot. This place has twisted my arm for all of my Taco money. While you transparent folk are going after the latest version of the Doritos Locos Tacos that's largely corn and recycled Chinese newspaper I'll be here.
