I came in tonight , a Friday evening,to have dinner with my husband . We had been wanting to try this spot for a while and it did not disappoint. It wasn't overly busy but most tables were full .We were greeted by Emmanuel and sat down quickly . We started with some delicious Cuban empanadas . My husband ordered the Entraña Plate and it arrived on a wooden cutting board, and he kept raving about how every bite was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Picahna plate and also enjoyed my food . The salchipapa made the trip worth. The salsa rosada that comes with it definitely enhances the plate. The empanadas did not have a good flavor, and for a $5/each it feels overpriced. Did not disclose mandatory tip before dining here. We split the bill two ways and they still charged an extra 18 percent on both bills. Food was over salted and overpriced too. Might as well have drove to LA to spend the same amount of money for a lot better quality food. We will not be dining here again due to the mandatory tips and the low quality food for expensive price. The receipt we signed at the end still had the audacity to ask for even more tips. They did not deserve more tips due to this terrible tipping practice. Message to restaurant: PROPERLY PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES. I am not responsible for their paychecks. I've been here quite a few times and never been disappointed. Everything is well seasoned, flavorful, and fresh. The mofongo, saltado, aguadito, and arroz con pollo are favorites. As a mostly chicken eater, I really appreciate that they know how to season and cook chicken breast and thigh for the best texture and flavor. My meal companions have said only good things about the other meats as well. The aji sauce is so spicy and good. Entrees are VERY reasonably priced and generously portioned. I always have leftovers to take home. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Also, despite the name, it's not just Brazilian foods. They have Peruvian, Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican and more. Maybe some will be intimidated by the size of the menu and variety of dishes, but they shouldn't be. Held Company Holiday party at the Rio Brazilian venue. The venue was excellent and the service was fantastic. The GM Oldi was so very helpful.I didn't expect the room to be decorated but GM had the room decorated and was more than I could imagine. My DJ was a no show and Oldi jumped right in and had a Spotify play list ready to go and ran the system as needed. The food was fabulous, I received so many thank you's for the great choice in the food and venue. A tasting day was even provided and you couldn't go wrong with the food no matter what you selected. The server and bartender were great. There were no hiccups with this event thanks to the great service. Everything GM promised he was true to his word. Excellent everything! Had dinner here with a friend last night. I was amazed to see the variety and selection of Latin American food choices, not just Brazilian. The servers were very attentive. It had a nice ambiance without being stuffy. I had lomo saltado, a Peruvian dish I had in Lima several times. I was impressed. I'm looking forward to going back to try the yucca and mofongo as well. The food was pretty good so I don't really have a huge complaint about that but it is the way everything is done which is different which I wasn't over keen on. I'm not sure whether I would return. So this is not an all you can eat and it does not have a buffet bar for all your Extras! so when you sit down, they start bringing you little plates of sides whether you want it or not and then the meat begins. I think you can buy a package of what you want or not off the menu as far as the meat goes we were taken out to dinner so I do not know But I do know that the package that was purchased had two bottles of wine with it which was great, but it did not like the fact that I could choose my meats or how much. This place has expanded since we last came here which was during Covid they have turned it into a proper large restaurant which was pretty nice and the service was pretty good too . I just did not like the fact that I could not get up and go to the bar for all my extra foods of my choice and there was only people walking around with a few plates of stuff which was odd. I have been to several Brazilian restaurants, Italy, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills so I have had a good mix of restaurants in different places and although this one is trying its best in Lancaster, I still think that they are missing the buffet bar with all types of salads and extra sides of your choice to eat prior to all the meats coming around. We were the first customers to arrive and not sure if the experience would be different in the evening. From the moment you approach the entrance they have a patio area for those who prefer the fresh air and people watching, lol. The inside is tranquil, it has dimmed lighting and feels more formal, however we saw people coming in with casual wear. The employees immediately greeted us and made suggestions that really helped narrow some of these choices down. The menu felt like I was taking a food tour around Latin America, very cool! Moving on to the food. We ordered platano bites to start. The plantains were sweet and hot. The beans and sour cream were a great pairing. Moments later I see this amazing arrangement with our drinks (mango chamoy and La Llorona), the mannequin had gem tears that appeared to be falling into the drink. The attention to presentation was appreciated; it shows a level of care for customer experience. We ordered the entrana plate (Argentina), the molcajete and aguachile (Mexico). The steak was incredible, the shrimp in these meals was well de-vained and seasoned. Each dish is unique in its own right and we were impressed with how they honored the authenticity of every dish. Kuddos to the hands involved in making all of these meals. To end the experience we had churros with condensed milk and whip cream. The churro exterior was crunchy and the inside was still steaming. Highly recommend trying this place out. They have a ton of variety, and in my personal experience, the service and quality was worth exploring. Overall some things I feel management should consider is their "all you can eat" sign because it's outdated and can be a bit misleading. My recommendation is to replace it with a Sunday brunch sign instead. The second thing would be the volume of the music in the room, when we first got there it was subtle, but as our meal progressed it got louder. This makes it difficult to hold a conversation with the people in your party and can have a negative impact. Just wow!! The meats they serve are so perfectly seasoned and so perfectly juicy and tender! From now on, when we want quality steak, we will go there instead of Black Angus. The service has always been very good. However, I don't think you get your moneys worth with their all meats for $59. They serve it to you, by selection, so slowly, that in the 20 minutes we all know it takes to be full, you will only have about 3 or 4 out of the 12. And you can't just continue to receive the "all meats" that you paid for and take it home with you, because then they charge you $10 per pound of what you have already paid for but are taking home. Starting from walking in. It almost seemed like the girl servers there were new. The guy, super cool, did help us, but he was not... our server. When it came to our drinks, we never got a refill nor were we asked for one (our soft drinks). We also ordered margaritas, it seemed to be all ice, and maybe the mix that you buy in store. I had to get up to go get my own straws from my servers. One of the women servers was just talking almost mute from how low she spoke to us and was just uncertain. The food was ok. Parking in the back avoided the narrow street parking in front of the restaurant. We arrived late afternoon so we were the only patrons. Service was personable, responsive, and kept a nice pace. We decided to do the all-you-can-eat and spent $144 (excluding tip) for 2. I asked for no seafood/shrimp and was easily accommodated. The meal began with a mixed greens salad dressed with an avocado cilantro dressing topped with tomato and purple onion. Before finishing it, we were served a plate of rice, black beans, sausage, pork belly, and chicken. My husband spent a couple of years in Brazil and commented that the beans were done right! I would order just that plate and am thinking about that linguica sausage this morning! All the food arrived hot and fresh! Next was the board presenting our first tastes of meat. The picanha was salted well. We liked everything on the board especially the skirt steak which was like Bulgogi without the Korean seasoning. The lamb looked overcooked but it was cooked nicely and was yummy! We liked the ropa vieja and were surprised at how tasty the pork and pickled purple onions was! We were quite full by the time the abacaxi/pineapple, bananas, and pao de queijo arrived. The pineapple was sliced thin, grilled, and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. The bananas were caramelized well but they were too mushy for my liking. My husband ate them though! The pao de queijo was large and looked like a Dutch baby but they were delicious despite the different taste and texture from what we're used to. My husband ordered more meats he'd enjoyed and they were happy to accommodate us with anything we wanted more of! Our waters were kept full. Well well well I'm back with another review and this time it's coming from a place that is Definitely worth every penny! My sister wanted to go to dinner and so we decided on this place and when I say I was blown away by how flavorful everything was! We're going again this Saturday and I'm beyond excited! The servers were very nice and attentive and it was a pretty good ambiance for inside. It's definitely not a kids friendly place so I would keep the little ones at home! I loved the churros ! I normally do not eat churros but these ones were so good! They were fried a little too hard but they were still very good. I can't wait to enjoy it for a second time this weekend. This spot is open during Covid. We have been passing it several times then 1 day we decided to dine. There was a wait but it isn't that long. We were seated along the street but it is so windy and we asked to be moved. They have a little alcove which is better and the outdoor heater helped a lot. I ordered the 1lb Pupusa Platter.
