10/10 I would recommend getting the spiciest level! I was so iffy at first but I loved it , the white rice was extremely soft

Ehh...I came on a Saturday around 2:30...it was only one guy working the front so i didn't order until 2:46...This is also my first time here so I didn't realize how small this place was (well how limited the seated was) so i order to go....The guy seemed annoyed when i asked about the menu & they don't allow half orders of the seafood (I guess I'm spoiled by my favorite places in LA). Now the food , I won't be back...The potato's were soooo overcooked they were mushy and not edible, the sausage was cold with no snap to them, actually everything besides the sauce at the bottom was at best lukewarm and i only live 10 minutes away! A waste of 50$.

Head on Shrimp medium with all the flavors.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was great, service was awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now I am a big fan probably the biggest fan of the boiling crab. This place is good, but could be a lot better. The spice level on the medium is more like mild. The garlic is chopped so fine that it's almost dust like non existent. Needs chopped garlic not dust garlic, and where is the juice in the food?? I love the fact that it came with corn and potatoes. I almost forgot, but it does have a lot of flavor.

The food was great, and I have frequented this establishment on multiple occasions. I experienced no issues with either the staff or the food. The entire experience was seamless and satisfactory.

Was starving but the fries w crab were okay. Only because I could taste the imitation crab and it wasn't to good especially if you have real crab. Spent over $100 and I expected a bit more. Very greasy & stomach hurt after

Hands down the best Shrimp Boil I've had. This is coming from eating Boiling crab and Kickin Kasian out in the Valley. Hands down the best. I got the 1LB Garlic butter and Louisiana Cajun mix. It already includes two corns and two potatoes. So I just added my usual Quail eggs, sausage, and scallops. Also a side of steam rice and clam chowder . The shrimp was huge! Overall great taste and great service from Natalie who handled our Group of 10 but handled the rest of the customers that came in. Definitely will come back! You won't be disappointed. Way better than Crab and Spice!!!

5 shells, not a scallop anywhere!!! Scammers!!!!

The good: service was pleasant The bad: I ordered mild; not mild spicy. I have had stomach surgery and cannot do spice. I actually told the young lady that. At no time did she say the mild was spicy. I ordered scallops; I got sea shells with a tiny piece of something attached. I have never had a scallop smaller than a thumbnail still attached to a shell. Lazy much?? I spent $58 dollars on crab legs with scallops and sausage potatoes and corn. I cannot eat any of this because it is too spicy. They didn't even offer to make it right. $58 dollars in the trash! My first and last time going here Back to the mall I go.

Great place to eat! Prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Our server was nice and food came out quick.

Baracoa Cuban Restaurant was an amazing discovery when we stopped for a lunch pitstop on our drive…read moreup towards Tehachapi. I can easily see them being a favorite in the Palmdale area. There was plenty of parking in this lot. The entrance is located through their patio, which can be a bit counter intuitive. We came at opening and the restaurant got really busy during our time there. Initially we were looking at the sandwiches because it was lunch time, but then we were going to a wedding that night so we decided to eat something more filling since the ceremony and speeches always delay the eating. All entrees here are served with black beans and rice or congri, and 3 fried plantains. My boyfriend had the Ropa Vieja ($28) with the congri and I had the Lechon Asado ($25) with the rice and beans. Our food came out pretty fast after we ordered. My boyfriend's Ropa Vieja is a Cuban braised beef. The congri is basically a mix of the rice and beans. This dish was super tasty and the shredded beef was so tender with the bell peppers and onions. I can really taste the red wine and tomato sauce in the base. I took a few bites but in general I preferred my dish more, and vis versa he enjoyed his dish more. My lechon asado is a roasted pork that is super super tenderrrrrr. It was so sweet with the grilled onions and it had the perfect amount of fattiness without being over bearing. SO GOOD! Love the plaintains too. I'm glad I got the rice and beans option because I would have gotten too full too quick with the congri. I barely touched my beans and only got through half of my rice. Both dishes came with this super tasty garlic butter sauce that I poured on my rice and made it even tastier. It was so good. One thing I didn't enjoy about the experience was the flies attacking us and our food. Since the door is open and connected to their outdoor space, it leaves the opportunities for flies to come in. We had to play defense with the flies the whole time. The service here is a little slow. Especially when I was trying to get back on the road I wasn't feeling too patient. I waived down multiple staff members too. Also I got hit with an undisclosed 3% surcharge for using my credit card. I only found out after I got the receipt. I would have paid in cash if I knew. *dislike* LOVE LOVE LOVE the food. Might be the best Cuban food I've ever had... and I've been to Florida where there was a lot of Cuban spots. Room for improvement with service, flies prevention, and the disclosure of the credit card fee.

The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.

More concerning, however, was a serious issue regarding safety and how my family--particularly my child--was treated by staff. During our visit, my toddler was standing next to her high chair when employees were running through the restaurant. One employee fell and immediately blamed my child for the incident. I was present and witnessed the situation clearly. My child was approximately four feet away and was not involved in any way. The employee tripped on her own, yet responsibility was placed on my child. If the placement of a high chair in that area posed a concern, it should not have been offered or placed there to begin with. At no point did any staff member, including the manager, ask if my child was okay (especially since they thought she was tripped over) Instead, blame was directed towards my toddler, which made me feel unwelcome and judged for simply dining with a baby. Also if she really was tripped over- they did not care about her at all. This shows: THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR GUESTS. A server came up to us and expressed how she was the blame despite not seeing what had happened. These employees are running up and down. That is why she tripped. This is my my toddler (thankfully) was not harmed. I hope the waitress is okay though, clearly this company does not care about safety much- as she kept working after. We spent over $150 during this visit, and the overall experience left me feeling that this establishment is not family-friendly. This is particularly disappointing, as families should feel safe and respected while dining. Due to this experience, we will not be returning, and I will be sharing this feedback with all friends and family. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately to prevent similar situations in the future. Maybe a training on where to put high chairs, how not to run in an establishment, and how to speak with respect towards others would be a good start.
